Jeep JL/JK License Plate Relocation Bracket [Install Guide]

In this video, Tyler demonstrates how to install your new license plate relocation bracket on your JL or JK Wrangler spare tire. If you have recently made the upgrade to one of our aluminum or steel rear bumpers, you'll find that there's no place on it for a license plate to be mounted -- hard users won't want their license plate hanging low to get ripped off on the trail anyway!

what about License Plate Light, for those who live in states that require license plates to have lights.

Good question! I have always used these LED bolt lights; gives us some redundancy if one light fails too. Have had a pair of these (or similar) on our Jeep Commando for the past 8 years without an issue. Worth noting though, use small round quick disconnects so they don't get in the way of changing license plates. I only change them when I have moved from one state to another, but it makes it quick and easy.

Have you considered welding nuts on the licenses plate bracket? So, you would only need one tool to remove it
