- Welcome back everyone! In today's video I go fishing with my buddy Estaban and Wyatt down in the Ten Thousand Islands/Everglades. In day 1 we get into some fat mangrove snappers. The following day we find a hidden bay with Tarpon. I landed my first Tarpon on the fly! Thanks for tuning in and I'll see you guys in the next one!

really love the content, makes me wish i was down that way again. point to help you. Never, especially when fighting a fish. strip line from above your rod hand. Always strip line from below the rod hand so your rod hand always controls the line/drag/fish. This will help you a lot when flyfishing.

There’s usually goliaths in those spots but i’ll take keeper snapper any day haha
I know all them places some are extremely tight even with a small boat but it's worth it. Been fishing the islands for over 30yrs

Cool video Erick! How do you like those Reaper Rods? I don't have one yet but they're made in my home town.
I love my reaper rod. Only thing that you may not like are the micro guides. I use long leaders and it gets caught in the guides.
