Really need a special gear for those little creeks, like a short 5' heavy rod and 100lb line like they use for Muskies up north so you can horse them out of those mangroves. 70 days until I start a week fishing out of Everglades City, can't wait!
Yanking those chunks outta mangroves is not easy. Nice work! 50 lb and put your back into it. Some people think they're snagged and break line pulling...chances are it's a big ole jewfish
