Caught my first 28” musky the other day on my local river, and I am hooked now what a great fighting fish!!!
We were fishing in Minnesota one time, and hooked a walleyed pike. Reeling it in a big Muskie hit it. My dad kept the muskies head below the water and was able to net it. Was a fun day.

Been getting some nice rainbows lately Down here on my favourite creek. It is the creek I started on and it is still producing great fish 40 years later.

Excellent video!! I wish we had rivers like that one in Canada. Very few rivers hold that many muskies up here, you gotta fish the lakes.
In the fall, if you have a heavy gizzard shad spawn, you'll get muskies up the river. But mainly they'll be around the mouth and a few km up.

I can’t stand the guys who scream at a camera and go nuts over a 1 pound bass honestly. It’s enjoyable if edited correctly with music and they are chasing giant fish and are able to build hype up to the fish they catch. Then getting super excited over fish is enjoyable to watch if they are big. But most of the time the fish are like 12 inches 😂 thanks so much for watching I’m glad you enjoyed

These were likely reaction strikes. That’s why you caught so many more than your buddy.
IDK what he was using, but a glidebait is a reaction bait. (like a suspending JerkBait)
A slow steady retrieve then pump the rod twice (or reel handle snaps) and pause. This will cause the bait to be cruising along then suddenly make two quick directional changes (“directional” is a real word) then shoot off to one side and stall. The evasive movement can trigger a follower to instinctively strike when otherwise they might just be looky-Lou’s.

Caught my first ever muskie today, wasn't big by any means compared to yours maybe 25 inch range, was surprised how hard it fought me lol I was fishing for bass but it decided to hit for me today 👌

Nahh that’s the guy I was fishing with, he’s the real bob ross of fishing, I just got tired of creators screaming at a camera when they catch a 2 pound bass so I decided to switch up my content to be the opposite of those guys and just relax, fishing is my happy place and it’s much more happy when I can just fish in peace and relax myself!
The walleye swimbait link doesn't work. Is that the white one? What gear ratio on the reel, and rod specs would be great. Looking at buying my first setup.
The gear ratio on the reel is the 8.1:1. The rod is a st.croix legend tournament musky 8 foot medium heavy fast and the lure is a bass pro swerve glide

14:00 lulz i seen him with his head barely poking out under your boat as he circled back while you were texting. i was watching the lure fully expecting to see a big bass or muskie just go full send and make you lose your phone in the water....because that's how evil they are...when you aren't trying, they just do the unexpected in my experience. can't tell you how many times they shade under the boat and just strike from right under the hull. it's like they use the shade to get a better look at the stuff on your line and don't make up their mind until they study it enough to decide it's not a trick and actually worth eating.
had a 5# bass do this and a 15# northern pike try to eat the bass soon as the bass devoured my sucker on a circle back. wished i had that on video some epic wild predator competition and response sight you have to see to believe!
I am sorry that im not familiar with american type of fish and i never heard of a "musky", but as a european it looks like a pike to me. I just want to learn more about fishing so i really appreciate if someone could explain it to me.
Same family as pike but can get much bigger. They can cross breed called a tiger muskie. Very cool looking but they can't reproduce.

So this is a shot in the dark but I live in Wisconsin and I'm homeless I lost my father to Suicide almost 2 years ago now and I've pretty much been homeless ever since I have had multiple jobs what is my luck would have it they keep falling through I'm just not for the 8to5 all I constantly think about is fishing and I should be probably doing other things to save myself but here I am living in my car watching fishing videos and dreaming well long story short I would love nothing more than to partner up with somebody in the fishing RUclips world and create content every day for my living please if you know of anyone looking to bring somebody on board their RUclips channel please let me know by have nothing holding me here in Wisconsin I will do anything to be a part of a fishing channel it is my absolute first thing I think of in the morning and last thing I think about before I go to sleep at night and I honestly don't even care what to pay is I don't care if it's below minimum wage and I know this might be a total Shot in the Dark and I'm not embarrassed at all by asking because I'll never get anywhere in this life if I don't stick my neck out there and try so again thank you very much for your excellent content and maybe just maybe I could be a part of that someday I appreciate your time and hope to see another Banger videos soon take care

Yes, it’s super easy you just have to drill a trolling motor attachment onto your kayak, if you wanna to make it cheaper install a wooden plant behind your chair and attach to that
