Changing out stock Bulbs for newer LED's will also cause a similar pattern of behaviour in the turn signals due to their being less resistance in the electrical circuit - to resolve this you simply 'swap-out' the old relay with one designed to work with LED's; Its a real easy and cheap fix. informative upload, thank you
Thank you! Left turn signal started blinking furiously this week. With the fed shutdown and all I don't wanna have to spend big bucks. A light bulb? (yup, left rear) We can manage that!!
Not always a bulb. Yes, that is the first thing to try. But often, a fast flasher means something else is wrong-and your bulbs are all good. Unfortunately right now, I’m dealing with one such case-a defective flasher module.
This might be the case 80% of the time, but in my case my Mini blinks fast only on the right turn signal. ALL MY LIGHTS ARE WORKING. The left turn signal blinks at regular speed. And of course, this being a newer car, it no longer has a flasher relay. It has an expensive module that controls all of the lights.
Thank you so much! I liked and subscribed! An object hit the turn signal light frame, dislodged the bulb and blew out the other bulb next to it. We replaced them and now it works!
Great video. This is exactly what I needed to see. I'm having this same issue right now with one of my turn signals. My mechanic thinks it's a flasher or a blinker. I appreciate your spot on insight. You have a nice voice
Same! This video is for ditzy soccer moms. Everybody knows the first saying to look for is a dead bulb. Mine is doing the exact same as yours, blinking too fast and all the bulbs are fine. That's how I Googled it and I get this video 😑. People not to stop making all these videos that are false titles!

Doesn’t always mean the bulb is burned out. Could also be an electrical issue somewhere else such as a malfunctioning relay in a control module or a bad ground.
GroundHawk oh gosh. Mine started blinking fast tonight and I need to get it inspected by the end of this month. Hopefully its just a bad bulb and an easy fix. Ugh!
You may be right, the rear one on my left side does not blink but it does light solid and the front one will blink twice as fast. Thanks for the quick thoughts, ill have it looked at.
Thank you for the video! I have a. Acura TSX 2004, all bulbs are good (tested). The fast super fast speed starts at start of the electric stage of the ignition. It happens for a brief moment then, it blinks as a normal car does. When at else could it be? Any input would be greatly appreciated.
thank you. that actually shed some light. I have a 2004 monte carlo, the rear blinkers don't work, but the bulbs are good, the front blinkers work, but they blink too fast. the main relay was just replaced, and it's got no issues. I am assuming that it's a ground issue. have you got any ideas?

I like your answer, maybe you can help me. My front passenger side blinker doesn't blink inside or out. I can hear it blinking fast inside the car but in the front the bulb lights up solid and doesn't blink at all. I tried changing the bulb and it does the same thing. All others work fine and even the flashers works fine. I'm really at a dead end I don't know what to do. Please email me your response if you don't mind. Great try! I mean it, thanks for taking the time to upload video. HOWEVER, “throwing parts” at a problem is terrible advice-what if the PCM isn't sending a signal, is there a broken ground wire? etc etc etc. Study up on OHMs law. Happy troubleshooting(or lack thereof)
My blinkers blink fast and all the blinker bulbs are working and are not led but my parking lights are led, should I change my parking lights bulbs to original?
So my rear blinkers blink faster, and my front ones come on, but don't blink. What does that mean? No lights are burnt out. This started happening about 4 months after I bought my car.
Mine started doing it when I Changed my head light bulbs from yellow halogen into white halogen. My passenger side turn signal still works but after driving for a while with headlights on it stops working

I recently installed LED bulbs, and the speed pattern increased. Is it necessarily bad for your vehicle? Does it have negative long term effects if it blinks fast? It kind of looks cool
it's not bad for your vehicle, the reason it blinks fast is because the relay that comes with the car is meant for incandescent bulbs, which take more power. So when you switch to LEDs, the relay sees it as a burnt out bulb. You can fix this by getting a relay meant for LEDs
Suddenly; all signal lights/hazards don’t work. Yes- quick flash inside only. (The odds that all bulbs burned out while parked? Hardly drive: Mazda3 Soirt 2014 (52K km))🧐
doesn't the current load drop and the voltage increase (since there's less current load)… and because of the higher voltage the relay will cause the other bulbs to blink faster?
All depends on curcuit design. Series, parallel , series parallel. Series curcuits cause all voltages to go to zero(stop working) if faulty component (open curcuit). Parallel means as one component breaks others must take up any increased loading duty. I recently changed a genuine turning and signal light for non genuine. Two things were different Cheaper incandescent bulbs and change in grounding all bought to one point. Indicators started blinking faster. I believe cheap lights less resistance > increase current across other components including relays. Also the balancing of the grounds to one point again probably making the curcuit more efficient ironically increasing again load on relays. I am more curious as to this being a problem, over time any Auto techs explaining why they would spead load across 2 grounds would be great. Are there shunts and extra fuses etc to isolate problems etc. Edit just changed back original 21 watt bulbs and wallah correct blink speed the difference was amazing ..i only need a replacement lense, in short just use a bulb with correct resistance. You can do the math.
