    Changing out stock Bulbs for newer LED's will also cause a similar pattern of behaviour in the turn signals due to their being less resistance in the electrical circuit - to resolve this you simply 'swap-out' the old relay with one designed to work with LED's; Its a real easy and cheap fix.

    Not always a bulb. Yes, that is the first thing to try. But often, a fast flasher means something else is wrong-and your bulbs are all good. Unfortunately right now, I’m dealing with one such case-a defective flasher module.

    This might be the case 80% of the time, but in my case my Mini blinks fast only on the right turn signal. ALL MY LIGHTS ARE WORKING. The left turn signal blinks at regular speed. And of course, this being a newer car, it no longer has a flasher relay. It has an expensive module that controls all of the lights.

    • @ballistaproductions
      @ballistaproductions 2 года назад

      it's not bad for your vehicle, the reason it blinks fast is because the relay that comes with the car is meant for incandescent bulbs, which take more power. So when you switch to LEDs, the relay sees it as a burnt out bulb. You can fix this by getting a relay meant for LEDs

    All depends on curcuit design. Series, parallel , series parallel. Series curcuits cause all voltages to go to zero(stop working) if faulty component (open curcuit). Parallel means as one component breaks others must take up any increased loading duty. I recently changed a genuine turning and signal light for non genuine. Two things were different Cheaper incandescent bulbs and change in grounding all bought to one point. Indicators started blinking faster. I believe cheap lights less resistance > increase current across other components including relays. Also the balancing of the grounds to one point again probably making the curcuit more efficient ironically increasing again load on relays.
    I am more curious as to this being a problem, over time any Auto techs explaining why they would spead load across 2 grounds would be great. Are there shunts and extra fuses etc to isolate problems etc.
    Edit just changed back original 21 watt bulbs and wallah correct blink speed the difference was amazing ..i only need a replacement lense, in short just use a bulb with correct resistance. You can do the math.

    BEFORE I WATCH YOUR VIDEO I HAVE A VERY STRANGE PROBLEM!!! I have hyperflash on a 1999 Ford F-150 Pick Up!! EVERYBODY on RUclips says it is an LED Bulb causing the problem..........and this is "PART 1" of the problem because I DO NOT HAVE LED lights in ANY of my sockets AT ALL!!!
    THEN PART 2 is EVERYBODY tells me "You have a blown light bulb" and I replaced BOTH the passenger side (front AND rear bulbs) bulbs with brand new bulbs and I STILL have the same problem!! And when I replaced them there is NOT A SINGLE OLD BULB that was blown even though I replaced them anyhow with brand new ones!!! I STILL have a passenger side flasher that is blinking like it is "hyperflashing" and I don't know why, but I have NOT replaced the flasher unit yet!! If you have any answers to this or know how to fix it please email me at PistonRev@yahoo.com and thank you in advance for your help!!!!
    Oh and I almost forgot to add it is ONLY HAPPENING on the passenger side.....NOT the drivers side and I haven't figured out why!! All the wiring in the truck looks fine and intact....which I thought I had a short, BUT there too another mystery to this is that when you turn on the passenger side turn signal BOTH lights ARE flashing front and rear and there is NO EFFECT (Dimness or other issue) with the normal "running lights" operation either, in fact the marker lights (when normally on) look fine and exactly as bright as the other side (Driver's Side)!!
