As one of the very....very few fans of Devils Third lol, I've been so excited to play this and I kinda wasn't surprised that reviewers like ign gave it a 4 but im glad reviewers like you or gamebolt saw it from what it actually is! GREAT REVIEW!

a little precision is that shooting does a ton of damage if you aim for the head ! there's a hint of this in the training mini-game where you get more points for head shots :)
So this is pretty much a more polished, actually functional take on Devil's Third, then? Neat, that fascinating shitshow deserves a second chance - I'll give this a shot when it's on sale.

I did like Devil´s Third a bit more! It played way more smooth. Had to refund Wanted Dead! This did not click with me. Characters are feeling flat and gameplay feels unpolished.
Between this and Hi-Fi Rush, I wonder if the return of mid-tier titles could be a long-term thing.

Got it today and man, this game is so underrated in many reviews!
I really love it, it feels so individual compared to other games in that genre. The story is a bit silly, but I like it.
It's not easy, but a good challenge. Something for skilled gamers.

I bought the collector's edition that comes with a the game in it's plastic case, steel case, ost, art book, a badge/pog, and some post card looking things with artwork on them. Pretty dope. Game is fun af.
I hope people support this. They didn’t show the anime cutscenes in the review, but they’re present. “Charm” and “Love” are subjective, I know. But this game has it. It’s like if Van Dam had a sister that starred in her own action movie in the 90’s, it’s awesome.

A really good review man! I’m interested in this one, but like many people the $60 price point is a bit much for what you’re getting.
Bad take imo. The game is going to give me over 20 hours that’s $3 a hour to be entertained. That’s a lot of value considering alternatives are a lot more

Few hours in, bit past mission two, and my only real complaint is combat isn’t as complex or expressive as I had hoped. It’s still intense but yeah :/
That said I can’t stop playing. It’s janky but man is it enjoyable. I widely agree with NP on this review really.

Yeah I agree. I'm on the thrid mission and loving it, combat could be better but there is no other game that has you feeling like John Wick this closely. I hope we get some performance patches soon but the jank isn't game-breaking
Once you open up the skill trees combat can change quite a bit if you aren’t button mashing

As always I love your review. This score really convinces me. I love Ninja Gaiden 1 and 2 and also games like Stranglehold or WET. Doesn't has to be perfect, I think I'll give it a try
soleil developed the game, 110 industries is the publisher, for one.
also the fact you have this a better score than Samurai Jack Battle Through Time when it's made by the same people and has far more engaging, dynamic, varied and more indepth combat, on top of looking aesthetically better by light years, is so funny.

I haven’t played the Ninja Gaiden games. Would you say the combat in this game is similar to Devil May Cry or Evil West?

The feel of the game definitely looked intriguing upon first glance. I was on the fence because it was looking like it lacked polish, but I'm definitely the type where a stellar, stylized vibe can make up for that. Will probably pick this up soon. Excellent review.
It absolutely lacks polish. I could have forgiven it at around 30 dollars, but these maniacs want 60.
You can go play Hi-Fi Rush for 30 right now, and it's a polished game that looks like it could have sold for 60.
There's something wrong with the brains of these people, to make such a rough looking game and ask that money for it.
@@phant0mdummy Lol I understand for someone that thinks $60 is a lot of money, but I make 4-5x that in a single day. It's literally pocket change for me. I know people that spend far more than that on a few hours at the bar. The game looks like loads of fun and the characters/story look like a riot. I'll definitely get $60 worth of game out of my purchase. I also bought Hi-Fi Rush. It's a blast.

Just bought the game on steam and played through it on normal mode and right now I'm into japanese hard ng+ and I think this game really is something special! It could be the new deadly premonition so bad its good game. I really loved it and it will stay in my head for months and years!

NGL, I love the design of the main character. As a fan of Bayonetta, Devil may cry, binary domain, lollipop chainsaw and yes...Devils Third, this should be a fun game to say the least

I don't know what it is, it just seems so clunky, like it lacks flow, like a low budget steam game, not trying to diss it at all, I don't know the price tag yet tho.
Looks fun but 60 bucks?? I got elden ring for 60. I’ll just have to wait for this to go on sale because for it to look so outdated and janky it would have worked better if they lowered the price.

I had a passing interest, and could have ignored the rough animation work (and more) about the title, but as soon as it launched on Steam with that price tag, I laughed and moved on.

So I don't like IGN reviews and I love noisy pixel but this game is horrible and IGN was right. I don't understand how he likes this I love bad games that are good but not this. He said he liked dialogue and that's one of worst parts.

DO NOT BUY THIS GAME!!!! I just paid over $30 for this garbage on Playstation website, and it was on sale too. I played it for 3 hours, and it was a biggest disappointment. I deleted the game. The graphics looked SO horrible, and It felt like an unpolished EARLY PS 2 game. The game play was a joke. The movement wasn't even smooth like it was protrayed in the "GAME TRAILER!!" It felt very low quality and somewhat jerky. The aiming for the machine gun was horrible because I couldn't even see the reticle, and It took me several seconds just to locate it during a gun battle. The was NO map available, and I had to locate the boss by running around the entire location. The enemies took forever to die even with a machine gun! The developer stuffed the game with punch of boring and slow cut scenes in order to fill up the game!! I felt like the developer was trying to make a "QUICK CASH GRAB" by producing a poor quality product with misleading game trailer and marketing!! In my opinion, this particualr game was made wtih very low budget and a sloppy development team. The company use terms like "Developed by Ex Ninja Gaiden Development Team" in order to embellish this crappy product. So sick of game trailer trying to mislead consumers, and they have the audacity to charge over $50 for this product. DO NO TBUY THIS GAME. STAY AWAY FROM IT. I wouldn't pay over $5 for this.
