These reports are great for us guys that can only get out a couple times a month, thanks Alan. We've been doing good on the bucks out of KL for a while, still waiting for a big mama that I can release. Hopefully I can shake your hand at the boat ramp at some point.
Thank you for the report. Careful with wrapping the top of your boat so tight with bungees or anything for that matter. If you crease it, that's where cracks will form.
J and p bait the live bait source for the S.F bay reported on April 25th that they were having some mechanical issues but expected to have bait for sale within a few weeks. As for the halibut fishing the S.F bay is insane with boats.
I started a consulting business and I'm offering two options. #1 Electronics consulting 2hr session on water. #2 Electronics and fishing technics 6hr session
Alan , with as much as you are on the water do you flush your engines after each trip ? I run a jet and a kicker in the delta is it a good idea to flush them after each trip?
No I don't flush my motor fishing the delta. You probably would have to get out past Honker or Martinez to be in any salt water. If you look at your prop wash and it's foamy then running back to Brannon Island would flush it out.
Your suntan Is Back. ☀️ My boat has electrical issues in the harness. I can’t figure it out. That’s why I haven’t been talking much about fishing. I’m going to try one more time to fix her. If I can’t….to the shop. I try my lucky fish N from the bank soon.. I saw Denise her Mommma She landed a Big Fish🐠 Lucky 🍀 Lady Right?
I have a 22ft wellcraft walkaround with a volvo penta dual prop and a 9.9 honda kicker I was wondering if you knew of any way to hook the kicker to my outdrive any input would be appreciated is there any way to do it been looking everywhere no luck hoping maybe you knew something about it
Alan would your new duckworth still work for throwing lures for striper in the Delta?I was thinking about getting into a bigger boat of that type so I could do Sturgeon and Halibut in the Bay but my main deal is chasing stripers trolling/casting in the delta…Thoughts?
Piranhamax should be fine in the delta and river. If you fishing in middle lake for kokanee or trout in over hundred feet even if the fish are 20 ft down the unit is to weak in power. If your seeing short dashs then your transducer needs to be tilted up from the back. Turn the sensitivity all way up to 20 as high as it will go and go try again
I've been with Lowrance for over forty years know them inside n out. I also can do most brands but some times takes me a bit to find the controls. So basic set ups no problem but to really fine tune a garmin not at this time.
Thanks for the report.
They definitely keep me motivated.
I will get out on the water soon.
When I do I’ll look forward to checking out that boat.

I just consulted him on his electronics and it was loaded with archs and we had two on most of the time
Thanks Alan. Good report. Nice boat.

A wise man once said,
"You should never throw pliers kid. Never".
Throw pliers?

I saw Denise her Mommma She landed a Big Fish🐠 Lucky 🍀 Lady Right?
Usually if not the plug it be easier to change harness
We are fishing on sardines at garcia bend, what side is the best side of the bend, East or West side
West side and I always fish the shallow sand bar sides of the river
Hey Alan, I'm new to the area and want to catch some crappie. Any advice or area that I should go to?
Right now I would say Berryessa or Clear Lake would be the top two choices.Their shallow and some on beds.
I have a 22ft wellcraft walkaround with a volvo penta dual prop and a 9.9 honda kicker I was wondering if you knew of any way to hook the kicker to my outdrive any input would be appreciated is there any way to do it been looking everywhere no luck hoping maybe you knew something about it
No I don't think so.
Thanks for the report alan. What size speedy shiners would you use at Folsom? Thank you.
The small ones work the best in red/gold

Yes you can but the wind blows it around. I've been spooning in it a lot lately with no problem. So I know I can cast swimbaits too.
I have yet to ever see arches on my humminbird piranhamax 4 DI can’t figure out how to get it to work properly

Are you familiar with garmin fir trip booking?
I've been with Lowrance for over forty years know them inside n out. I also can do most brands but some times takes me a bit to find the controls. So basic set ups no problem but to really fine tune a garmin not at this time.
