A pleasure to have voiced HQ. Loved the render and animation of SCP-3000. You really captured the scale of the beast!

@@ForlornFoundry me inspired by your work, i too create scp 3d animation stuff, btw love your work ❤
I really enjoyed the fixed shots of the divers getting stuck in 3000’s trance, sometimes the best way of showing a moment like that is just to let it play out for a bit. I had a good time with this overall.
“The age of man is at its eclipse”

@@ajrhoades9818 Right, that's some great attention to detail. Packing in details like that makes a big difference in terms of making things feel natural. I didn't think about it, until I saw this comment, but that's precisely because it makes it feel natural.

Effects: SCP-729-J was put on a fishing hook and lowered into the sea, to where the current position of SCP-3000 was found with radar. After 2 hours of lowering it into the sea, Dr. Saarland complained about a cramp in his hand from unwinding the fishing pole and Dr. Bayer took over. Another 50 minutes later the assumed depth of SCP-3000 was reached. After 2 minutes, a tug was felt on the fishing pole and SCP-3000's presence swiftly disappeared from the radar. As Dr. Bayer also complained of his hand hurting, retrieval of the end of the fishing line was postponed.
I told them both they should do stretches beforehand, but no, "We play Halo every Friday!", "Our wrists are trained!". Should have listened. - Dr. Baden
The next day, after proper warmup, SCP-729-J was successfully retrieved, along with a crudely written note attached to it, reading: Alright, I thought we had a deal. I turn some consciousnesses to spaghetti, and you guys get your regrety-forgety. But, okay, you won. You get the forgety stuff for free. Lifetime supply. But please, just this one condition! Keep. That thing. Out. Of. My. Ocean! I'll go for a while. I need to calm down.
Poor 3000, not even the Scarlet King deserves that stuff. Don't even get me started on what happened when they placed it with 173, I'll never look at sombreros the same way again
Plot Twist: 729-J makes projections of everyone's fear and Hessen is immune to it cuz she has no fear
Ha ha ha that was funny
Except when [REDACTED]
@@tathagatdhaneriya7485 Or maybe, she is so pure that she only sees it as a cute, fluffy plushie. 729-J literally falls in love with her and will do anything to keep her and her world safe (including when the foundation itself tries to classify her as one of the specimens).
And then Dr. Würtenberg appeared and asked: Why the fuck are our names based of Bundesländer. Truly a mysterious question, right Dr. Rheinland?
As a former commercial and scientific diver, and huge SCP fan, this is AMAZING.
i have the most respect for deep sea divers and also a pure hatred of them. WHY IN GODS NAME ARE YOU SWIMMING AWAY FROM THE PLACE YOU CAN BREATH. if im going that deep down underwater im taking a damn train full of nukes with me and strapped on me at all times. if a shark is going to eat me in pure pitch black darkness IM TAKING THAT BITCH WITH ME
I love the animation and the VO. My problem with this is that it doesn’t actually address the central theme and canonical purpose behind SCP-3000 beyond a brief exchange of dialogue near the beginning. SCP-3000 is the Foundation’s source of memory erasing drugs because this entity is (or at is popularly embraced as) the antithesis of consciousness. This is not a monster that is scary because it eats you. SCP-3000 is a monster that erases any sense of being and thought so you are left brain-dead floating at the bottom of the ocean. Then maybe it does or doesn’t eat your spiritually annihilated body, but that is not the point.
This was the first encounter they had with the thing, they asked "what did this?"
@@scolar_visari Fair enough explanation for me.
True. SCP-3000 goes far beyond being a primal threat in a physical sense.
It seemed to me this was the first encounter anyone had with it, as the divers weren't there for Anantashesha but rather to find the source of an oil leak etc.
These were not SCP divers, but deep divers who were inspecting an oil rig.
And happened across 3000
Love how the 3000 model is just a supersized moray eel. I recently went diving on a somewhat shallow reef off Cozumel in Mexico and the dive master pointed out something. It was just the head of a Goldentail Moray sticking out. They’re beautiful. Gold yellow with black spots. They kinda have a mini snout on top of their mouth and that’s where their eyes are. They open and close their mouths regularly, but it’s not threatening and it’s just how they breathe. It’s amazing to see. We also saw some coral polyps that if you wave your hand near fast enough will tuck back into their tubes. Really cool. We also saw a MASSIVE pufferfish. Like 3 feet long. Un-puffed, of course, but you have two regulators (mouthpieces) while diving, and they both have a purge valve that opens up the tank so you can clear any water out of your mouth. And if you take your spare regulator and put it near the puffer and press the purge valve you can get them to puff. I only learned this back in the boat but I wouldn’t have done it as it would be kinda a dick move. Anyways it was amazing. Try diving.
すごく丁寧な作りで静かに恐怖を煽られましたし、日本語字幕まである親切設計。感服いたしました。

As someone with thalassophobia, I am literally horrified of that thing. Seeing it move and come to life was something I never needed to see, but it will dwell in the back of my mind for eternity now. Well done team, you've outdone yourselves again.
@@lucashammer12 Yes I was all of the above 😂
@@lucashammer12 I mean I too would be embarrassed if I just willingly let myself get eaten by it.
Literally just the deep water - even without anything in it - just thousands of feet of water below, stretching as far as the eye can see, across thousands of miles, is terrifying to me. I get knowing what could be lurking down there is part of that, but even if I knew for a fact nothing was in it, I still find its sheer size and depth horrifying. I remember flying over the Pacific, about half way between both coasts under a full moon, at a point when there weren't really any clouds. Just seeing this huge expanse of water with no land, knowing it was like 20 thousand feet deep, was pretty terrifying.
There was a guy who managed to somehow survive over 70 days adrift in a tiny life raft in the middle of the Atlantic, and the idea of living and sleeping for over two months like that is just nightmarish.

Fun fact, Divers actually use a "pneumofathometer" to measure depth based on pressure applied to the device/diver. Altimeters are used to measure the vertical distance above sea level.

Please for the love of god never make something like this ever again. I have never been more anxious and nervous from a horror short before lmao. Well that's just about one of the most bone-chilling things I've ever seen. I'd say that I'd probably never go into the water again if I saw anything like this, but if we're talking about SCP-3000, getting anywhere near it is pretty much a death sentence.

The audio in this was top quality, it gave me chills. And that last shot of Anantashesha swallowing the diver literally sent a spike of dread down my spine.
Amazing work, can't wait for more.

You've returned. The SCP community wasn't the same without you
The animation is amazing as always! Love the voice acting too especially coming from SCP Illustrated! Awesome work
Whenever in games, I see enormous bones in games, I start think about how terrifying it would be when it was alive.
Yes!!! Iv been waiting for so long, I saw you were gonna do this a while ago, and it’s my favourite SCP, I can’t wait
"only the EEL remains" is the one thing in my head whenever I see "SCP" written somewhere.
Oh snap, I just realized, I've been cognitohazarded.
Amazing guys! Well done. I know how hard this stuff is to make. Thank you for all your hard work!
Amazing animation and impressive voice acting and script writing! The conversations didn't feel or sound scripted and the scale of the SCP/depth and emptiness of the ocean environment was truly unsettling. Amazing work to everyone involved!!
I love this animation. One fun fact is that most saturation divers (dive out of a bell and live there for days) have auxiliary air tanks attached to their umbilical air system in case it snaps. In this case however, they’re too far from the diving bell to be able to fix the problem. This is why new diving suits have rebreather setups that allow divers to breathe up to around 12 hours without an umbilical air system. I suggest the yt channel Dive Talk if anyone wants to know more abt this stuff
Another weird fact is the fact that they have to breathe a helium oxygen mix. So they all have squeaky high pitch voices for days to weeks while living in the bell.
Man this is awesome. 3000 looks amazing, and the colors gave off such an eerie mood. The voice acting was awesome too. It freaked me out to hear them sounding so panicked and afraid.
Finally a full fledged animation for SCP 3000. I can finally see the creature in motion.
Amazing work! I'd love to see more SCP animations from you
Only 2 min in and the dialogue and voice acting is so much better than what ive seen in others. Great job

The sound is so cool, gotta love good sound in videos and games and such, absolutely love it
I just wanted to say that I love the detail you put into recreating a professional dive environment with things most people would be unaware of, like the kirby morgan helmets.

Ok, so, i read the file about SCP-3000 before this, and there´s nothing in there that indicates the level of epicity (and fear) that an animation this well done can bring to one´s eyes, but on a personal note i consider it could be off the scale...

Holy shit. That looks amazing. Such quality. And while working with one of the larger scps, literally. Truly great work.
That's one of the most frightening things i've ever seen.
The all along stress to see the creature appear from behind, and that final shot when it opens its mouth...
I've always had thalassophobia, and I find that the use of almost still pictures is such a good way to stimulate the imagination and exacerbate the fear (once again, that final shot is just incredible).

I’ve been looking forward to this.
“hey bud how’s it going?”
*Grouper cam activate*
A nice touch here to really drive home the horror was in humanizing the divers. The little moment with the grouper was actually pretty solid to make you remember that these are people, and thus make you feel bad for what happens to them. Good shit!

How have I only just stumble across this😭
Wow that was amazing! Love some good SCP animation, though if I was a giant sea monster and saw divers with split fins I would want to put them out their misery too.
I'm curious, are split fins a pain to dive in?
@@ForlornFoundry they're a bit of a gimmick and more for show. They don't really hold up well in current, only really work with one way of kicking and don't have a lot of control in changing directions.
For this reason, a lot of dive professionals kinda joke about split fins.
They aren't terrible, they can still do their job in calm environments and shore diving, but I wouldn't recommend them over any other diving fin. (Tec or cave divers prefer jet fins)
