      Although sea turtles can't actually hide in their shells (only land turtles can, or tortoises), I have to agree that it is a creative way of portraying a prey hiding from a predator. Reality is cool and all but fiction is just way cooler.

    • @Ambar42
      @Ambar42 2 года назад +16

      @@canonboom165 No, it is a short film. Often amateur filmmakers try to evoke attention by making those, reaching out to producers to get enough money for a feature film. It's possible the creator might adapt the idea of this short to a feature film (like it happened with Saw and The Babadook which both started as short films) but the chance is low since most filmmakers abandon their short film ideas when making a movie for the big screen. That's mostly because the concept just isn't enough to make something that stays interesting in feature length. Since this short film has no story the possibility of it getting adapted into something bigger is almost zero. The most important thing of any feature film is the story. It's much more likely that a crappy looking short with a good story gets adapted into a feature than a great looking one with a bad or no story, at all.
      Also teasers are never made before a producer hasn't approved the film is going to be financed, created and released. If this was a teaser to an actual film there'd be no way it wouldn't be named "teaser" and production details would be named, as well (producer, studio and a rough date when it will be out). Also teasers are shorter and cut very differently.

    This is exactly what life on Earth has always been like. Only in the past few centuries has humanity been able to reach a point where we can convincingly delude ourselves into thinking the universe is benevolent and compassionate. It is not.
    Excellent presentation, beautifully done!

    O-M-G. This was a stunning animation delivered to us by obviously gifted people who deliver a bleak and thoroughly macabre allegory. The entire concept of this continuation of life in a seemingly post-human backdrop gives me the shivers. This animation was done in such stunning detail that it also shows a prodigious knowledge of animal anatomy. This film introduces us to the connotation that there are always bigger fish.

    Very cool, this reminds me of our local parking area on top of a hill overlooking the ocean just south of Boston where I grew up, born in 1960 when I was 16 in 1976 I'd hang out there in my old Chevy, it was called great hill, but also bottle cap hill because of all the beer bottle caps pressed into the blacktop, teens from decades drinking beers and tossing them out the window in the summer when the road was kinda soft, then the car tires would press them into the asphalt permanently imprinting in place, the whole circular road surface was covered in them, once flip top beers replaced the caps that ended, so many stories those bottle caps could tell, I'm sure more than one children were conceived there, still today, it is a beautiful spot in north Weymouth. 🙏
