Fun fact, during the briefing they mentioned a bunch of MTF divisions.
Namely Epsilon-6 (Village Idiots), entry team, are specialized in rural environments.
Nu-7 (Hammer Down) provide perimeter control with heavy artillery and armored vehicles.
“Specialists” from reality/spacetime-bending divisions Zeta-9 (Mole Rats) and Lambda-5 (White Rabbits).
Paranormal and chemical experts from Nu-13 (Ghostbusters) and Beta-7 (Maz Hatters) are also present.

      Indeed ...
In my mind, the Mobile Task Force(s) members, are recruited directly from the NATO member nations SFs units, with the addition of those from the Australia6, Canadian, and New Zealand armed forces, and, rather like the CIA's SAD/SAC - SOG, put them through an even more gruelling training and selection process.
Hence the lack of any camouflage gear, or uniform, and that they're wearing whatever the hell the want, on mission, because they've gone well past the point of being regular military ...
I once read that --- allegedly --- no-one below a certain rank can even give orders to a member of a US Tier 1 unit, as even fairly low-ranked Enlisted (E-4?) have engaged in stuff way above their pay-grade, or need to know ....

Jump scare is a cheap way to scare people. Imo it can't really define horror in the truest sense of word. The art of horror is about building tension and suspense without letting it go just to give a shock through jump scare after. This is especially true for novels or any written stories; impossible to utilize jump scares.

Establishing that takes more work and I think can be more effective than just throwing something in your face. That's not scary. That's just startling you. I think someone once said "If I run into the audience and tickle you, does that mean I'm funny? "

Not to mention the quality, all the small details and hints, building of suspense, sound, literally everything, perfect. As a completw newcomer, amazed at what the SCP community has put together, and this is some high level stuff which deserves more funding. So much solid content, multiple series and movies could be crafted from all this material. Just amazed at what has grown out of a simple 4chan post with an open wiki project and an organically formed community. 👌 👏 😍 👍
