@@gabrielvalenzuela5050 the problem with that is then investors get involved, and they want returns (or at least to break even), so the product has to be marketable to as broad an audience as possible, and it becomes very shallow.

This was seriously well made. Most horror focuses too much on what you see rather than what you don't. Everything was well balanced, did not feel like a RUclips video at all.
It’s why the original Jaws worked so well and the sequels not so much. Budget restraints means you can’t spend too much on practical and visual fx, so instead you have to focus on mood and storytelling.
You’re an actual artist - 096 was incredible, and I’m a huge fan of your choice to have 096 enucleate his victims rather than simply eat them or something. Congratulations on another project well done!
I definitely recognized that scene with the black and white helicopters along with making the soldiers be white dots. There’s only one person who can do that so well.
I think SCP has a lots of aspects to it, which is one of the things that makes it so cool. It can be proper horror, it can be suspenseful like this, or it can just be normal science fiction, without the horror aspects.
@@IwillCommentOnYourVideo This holds very true. The multitude off potential horrors and fears SCP can convey is almost unlimited. This short is one great way to show what this universe is capable off.
Dread and horror are for pussies. Send in John Wick first so we have an actual movie to watch. I liked this movie the first time I saw when it was called "realistic military op where stuff goes wrong because reasons with a cut to black ending". You know that one. I looked it up if the foundation truly exists and google says no (of course) but yeah. After all the Area-51 suspicion and theories…I wouldn’t be surprised if an SCP foundation exists somewhere.
What I love about this mini movie is the sense of SCP being a communal project with all the different nationalities represented. British, Italian, Polish etc. Its a small but appreciated part of an excellent piece of cinematography.
Indeed ... In my mind, the Mobile Task Force(s) members, are recruited directly from the NATO member nations SFs units, with the addition of those from the Australia6, Canadian, and New Zealand armed forces, and, rather like the CIA's SAD/SAC - SOG, put them through an even more gruelling training and selection process. Hence the lack of any camouflage gear, or uniform, and that they're wearing whatever the hell the want, on mission, because they've gone well past the point of being regular military ... I once read that --- allegedly --- no-one below a certain rank can even give orders to a member of a US Tier 1 unit, as even fairly low-ranked Enlisted (E-4?) have engaged in stuff way above their pay-grade, or need to know ....
Jump scare is a cheap way to scare people. Imo it can't really define horror in the truest sense of word. The art of horror is about building tension and suspense without letting it go just to give a shock through jump scare after. This is especially true for novels or any written stories; impossible to utilize jump scares.
That's just it. I think I've said before that jump scares are cheap. Look at old horror movies, they would often build up a creepy atmosphere of suspence. Establishing that takes more work and I think can be more effective than just throwing something in your face. That's not scary. That's just startling you. I think someone once said "If I run into the audience and tickle you, does that mean I'm funny? "
The team reporting to the TOC whenever they do something that interacts with the environment, like playing a video or using a camera, is a nice touch. It's like they understand that in an SCP event even seemingly harmless actions can have an affect, and they want to ensure they get approval/document how they are interacting with the house.

I especially like how one of the operators got mad for killing an anomaly because their job is scp. Im glad they remembered what their job was and not going in like the GOC
I would so love to see the GOC in one of these. I always love the interaction between the SCPF and the UNGOC, especially if they are of the non-hostile variety. They have an interesting dynamic with how they are *technically* on the same side, but use different methods and thus often come into conflict.
An interesting premise for a future vid would be to follow both a SCP & GOC squad going after the same anomaly. It would add some contrast to the experience. Easiest would be more SCP injuries/casualties but potential to salvage something valuable and/or avoid unintended side effects. Best with complex anomaly where GOC seems to be better at first but non-obvious major effect is missed by them because of their simplistic approach. Maybe GOC first contact with SCP follow up?

I really like this because there's no "know it all" guy who explains every single thing. Just the terror of the unknown. Makes it SO MUCH MORE engaging.

This is what horror movies should be like this. Jumpscares are good. But this genre of horror movie with no jumpscare but constant paranoia is awesome
Yeah jump scare are soo scary its now boring
But horror movies without jump scare
Have more action and more scary (some how)
Jump scare is a cheap way to scare people. Imo it can't really define horror in the truest sense of word. The art of horror is about building tension and suspense without letting it go just to give a shock through jump scare after. This is especially true for novels or any written stories; impossible to utilize jump scares.
@@user-no9he3po1t the fear of a sudden jump scare is better than an actual one
@@al-aminmohammad7574 that is called terror my friend
That's just it. I think I've said before that jump scares are cheap. Look at old horror movies, they would often build up a creepy atmosphere of suspence. Establishing that takes more work and I think can be more effective than just throwing something in your face. That's not scary. That's just startling you. I think someone once said "If I run into the audience and tickle you, does that mean I'm funny? "
The team reporting to the TOC whenever they do something that interacts with the environment, like playing a video or using a camera, is a nice touch.
