I attended some meetings at Eliot Burkly's? Long time reader, in around 1980 or so. Nice house in OKC. Frogs, icons?, all over the house. Not live frogs, little statues? That year i read the Urantia Book cover to cover. Burkleys was the only place i could talk about it.
Lake Eufaula ('76) was my first Urantia Conference. I couldn't afford a room at the conference center so I pitched a tent at the nearby camping grounds. (One night a bad storm rolled in and they moved us into the hotel... quite the adventure.) Conference was great, met Tom and many others, including Mo Siegel. And yes, Berkeley was unforgettable! A spitfire if there ever was one.

this is totally awesome, thanks for keeping up these interviews. it's amazing to see the intersection of the past and the present, collaborating to build a vision of the future. I'm always fascinated to hear stories of the history of the urantia movement, like Saskia Praamsma's report on the history of the movement on Square Circles. This was a valuable interview for sure!
Based on the Urantia Book what is the ideal lifestyle? Using Jesus as an exemplar and standard of conduct we commit ourselves to living for the sake of the world, looking inward towards the centre where the Voice for God resides for guidance and inspiration.
There is no ideal lifestyle. But there is a common lifestyle which will benefit the whole of society. That lifestyle is base on truth, beauty and goodness.

Very nice interview Tom. Just one correction. The Andromeda nebula is 2.5 million not billion light years distance according to astronomers today. Who knows if that is correct or not? It was great to hear about the early days and I remember the time in 1975-6 when you and Berkley and a few others came to where I was living in Albuquerque and presented your slide show of Harry Mullins book on Jesus. Yes Berkeley was a real spitfire. I met her once more in Boulder when I lived in Colorado. When you mentioned Harry and Vern, it reminded me of the time right after I began reading the UB in 1970 and in about 1972-3 I went to California from Santa Fe and the first person I went to meet was Clyde Bedel in Santa Barbara. I called him on the phone and he invited me, a stranger, to his house where we chatted in his study. From there I drove up to Berkley and went to the house where the Family of God hung out and was greeted by Harry as Vern was headed out of the house as we met. Harry and I went to have lunch and chatted for a long time. The climate is very different after weathering the days of strife and conflicts over lawsuits, thank God.
Don't worry Tom, we all get numbers mixed and I do it all the time or can't even remember the figure at all until 3 PM when it wakes me up.@@tomallen1427
I’m not quite clear on your question regarding didn’t happen? The UB states that the bestowal of the spirit of truth happened just after Pentecost on may 18th more can be found in Paper 194

I know you know about the Serara Forum. But maybe for some kind of political reason, "maybe", you're avoiding to interview anyone of the members of Serara Forum.

Urantia book really does pick up and inspires where Buddhism can easily leave one kinda stuck/ hanging..
