    I really enjoyed all three of the interviews you posted here! As a seeker of truth and also a highly spiritual person, I do not shy away from truth, even if it clashes with the most grandiose version of the story. I have had some intense real life experiences that led me to the Urantia Book. If I told you these 100% true stories, you would probably doubt they were true. I almost tire of telling my story, even with the video evidence I have, because most will never believe it. Having these experiences I'm speaking of happen to me is one of the reasons I can more easily accept the Urantia for what it is, no matter the specifics of how it came to be. I truly understand the rules of revelation in the free will universe. Any thing that touches down on a planet will have the "fingerprints" and signs of human error and involvement. That is just a part of being on an evolving planet in the universe. If the Urantia is completely made up, it is as she said, on a level higher than Divinci.

      Thanks. I think the UB is the last best hope for the existence of revelatory text material ever. The contortions one has to perform to believe in any of the others, like the Bible, are too much for me. I just wish the UB phenomenon hadn't been spoiled for future generations by Sadler, who apparently thought we couldn't handle the truth.

      +Martin Eigenberger I completely agree with you on that. Perhaps that was something the beings stressed to him. He seemed very adamant about keeping the oath of secrecy. It makes it require a special ingredient "faith". Thank you for your reply, I truly appreciate it. If you ever feel open enough to hear my story, let me know. I won't tell you unless you are interested. I have video evidence at the end of the story as well. The best to you brother!

      Unfortunately the only evidence we have that there was such an 'oath'. comes from Sadler himself. Given the suspicious nature of his handling of the Papers and his notes, it's reasonable to assume he made up the whole origin story, including anything that was communicated to him about oaths of secrecy and so on. Having said that, I'm always interested in the experiences of readers - what convinced them that the UB is the real thing, and whether there was anything extraordinary about those experiences.

    Absolutely wonderful listening to Sioux Oliva, thanks so much for this interview and fascinating theory! I'm not bothered by the theory so not being defensive here. But i don't think she's correct. The UB does make a few inferences about the sleeping subject that would exclude Dr. Sadler from being a candidate. This one in Paper 110:5.7 is probably the best smoking gun: "The Adjuster of the human being through whom this communication is being made enjoys such a wide scope of activity chiefly because of this human’s almost complete indifference to any outward manifestations of the Adjuster’s inner presence; it is indeed fortunate that he remains consciously quite unconcerned about the entire procedure." I'm quite sure Dr. Sadler was HIGHLY involved and concerned given his central role in the whole process, and his Adjuster probably had no free time on its hands. :D

    • @eeydabez2169
      @eeydabez2169 3 года назад +3

      @Martin Eigenberger Contaminations?? Please.. I'm sure the authors of the papers and myriad celestial hosts / midwayers on duty at the time could handle Sadler and his people. The risk of the encounter had more to do with if Sadler and his people could handle the extraordinary situation. I find it in no way objectionable that Matthew Block and others have found so many wonderful sources for the UB, and that linguistic style from Dr. Sadler's writings was seemingly borrowed now and then..
      Angelic orders probably don't all just sit around studying human language as it evolves from one generation to the next. They had to template the language on the best writing they could find lying around on this planet for the task at hand: to be well received by the readers of 1955, and to bring the forum to the point where they'd publish something which would more or less fulfil the mandates they had been authorized. And they pulled it off, hallelujah!
      The authors are pretty clear that they borrow thoughts and ideas whenever possible from humans since earned knowledge is more digestible. Having read sections from various source books it's clear to me that Sadler and other source authors were competent, but if you read the source texts, then red the UB parallels, it's hard not to marvel at the uplifted eloquence of the latter. This was not your run of the mill cheating student plagiarism. It was a delicate borrowing and an improving process.
      Lastly, let's also remember that this navel gazing has little to do with the most relevant points the book is delivering, messages of love, beauty, universe careers, and eternal destiny to name but a very few. End of the day, I don't care if Donald Duck wrote it, the value and power of the words are self evident. :D Sorry for the long post and thanks again for uploading this video!! :D

    • @eigenber
      @eigenber  3 года назад +1

      @@eeydabez2169 Well, yes, contaminations. If you read the Sherman Diaries, it's pretty evident that Dr. Sadler was, at least medically, a quack with some really questionable ethics. Forum members regularly noted he was editing the papers, inserting his pet white supremacist ideas of for example allowing disadvantaged populations to breed just enough to supply productive people with menial labor.
      That he was a shady, disliked character on Diversey Street back in the day, wouldn't be a worry, as long as the Revelation was getting through. But given what seems Sadler's bend toward secrecy, sociopathy, and narcissism, we just can't be assured he hasn't edited the book into a document that bears his personal fantasies, at least in certain parts.

      @@eigenber Interesting thanks for the tip. I'm going to buy those books, sounds like an exciting read. I never dreamed i'd get to learn about Forum members, fantastic....
      As for Sadler, if he truly held those false views, and didn't come around to a more enlightened view during the revelatory process, then shame on him. He must have never read the UB. LOL. He and my Grandpa can go work on those character flaws together in the mansion worlds.
      And of course i've read the objectionable bits like the end of paper 82, but man. Right after the paragraph people love to quote out of context, the one dishing the blunt facts about how genetics works, it basically says we should all go have interracial babies. So... Sadler seems to suck at being a white supremacist, if he had such a great impact on the editorial process, which I'm just at face value as a reader not convinced of. But thanks again for the book tips, they're in my shopping list! Some Forum dirt, who would have thought! :D

    I totally agree with her. The style of writing is above average and seems to follow The Chicago Manual style. Much is founded in research of that time some of which has been substantiated and some outdated by modern technological advances. The philosophical concepts in the book are not unique and reflect the teachings of numerous sacred text. The description of creation, celestial beings and life after death is mind blowing and greatly enhances not just the Christian belief system but every religion on earth. Given the lack of doctrines and its expressed intent toward experiential self realized religion it is evident that it was intended to spiritually uplift the people's of our world, an international initiative.

Satan is here to deceive and destroy and to confuse. If satan wrote the bible especially the book of revelation (which speaks of his defeat) then why would be little himself so easily and clearly. This video came to me through RUclips automatic feeding. I read the book "A History of the Urantia Papers" by Larry Mullins in which Dr. Meredith Justin Sprunger interviewed Dr. Sadler about how the manuscript came to being. It said that the initial 500 pages of manuscript were handed to him, was hand written by pencil, the manuscript was read to the forum and was modified by celestial beings to reflect the forum's feedbacks. The forum went through the reading process three times to ask deeper questions. I would guess the eventual published book contain many human understandings in order to be relatable.

I used to attend weekly study groups in California, but left the state in 2005, and sadly since then the study groups have been infiltrated and subverted by a fraudulent group of channelers calling themselves The Teaching Mission, who claim to channel celestial personalities up to and including Jesus himself.They have ruined the movement for me, and I will have nothing to do with them. I've not been able to find a single study group between California and Florida where I now live that is not infiltrated and subverted by this fraudulent group and their false teachings and practices. Cayce was involved in making prophecies, whereas the writers of the UB had no interest in such things. Also, Cayce promoted his writing without reservation and took credit for it. The Urantia subject wanted to remain anonymous and didn't want to be associated with it. As to reincarnation, the UB says flat out that it doesn't exist. However, it is possible that memories of the more experienced Thought Adjusters leak out and form part of their subjects thinking. In such cases, it could become impossible at times for the human subject to differentiate their own thoughts from those of the Adjusters.This is my explanation of the so-called reincarnation phenomena, basing what I know from reading the Book for several decades.

      If you read the book you know the UB denies reincarnation.

      At the time the book was written, reincarnation included the belief that one could return as a lower life form. The UB indicates that's not possible. As for whether we can come back as a human again, probably not, although there is a section that talks about the reserve corps of destiny and that memories in a reservist who is leaving can be transferred to a new reservist. And, as we only experience memories as a consequence of our own actions, any memories we have we assume came from ourselves. It's possible that's not necessarily so.
      Current speculation has the sleeping subject being one of Kellog's adopted children. But as the Foundation says, when the Western Union man comes to your door to deliver a telegram, do you ask him/her what their name is? No. It's the message that's important, not the messenger.

Otherwise, there's some impressive material in the papers, and my interest is more in some areas than others,...some parts I find rather non-appealing or even stale. Others are fascinating :)

    Moses talked to a burning bush. How crazy is that? Saul was on the way to Damascus when he heard a voice in his head and he changed his name to Paul then started the Christian religion. The Emperor Constantine saw a cross in the sky and became a Christian. The origin is not important. Judge something by it's fruit.
    Angels know a great deal about the universe but they are not allowed to reveal new information to primitive beings. New information comes from God. The problem is that new information is spread out all over the place. No one was able to put it all together. Angels know when new information has been given to humanity and, at that point, they are allowed to combine the truth.
    Also, the wheat comes with chaff. The reason is because we have to have CHOICE. Too often we choose the chaff because it's what we want, instead of the truth. If it's not all about you, would you accept it?

      Constantine is the man who truncated and modified ancient texts in 325 at the council of Nicea. He is the social architect who censored many books and slipped a bunch of lies in between the profound truths of the only 66 books that he picked. Talk about becoming a christian.

      Summarised by ChatGPT - New Age Grifter: The True Story of Gabriel of Urantia and His Cosmic Family" by Joseph L. Flatley delves into the life and exploits of Gabriel of Urantia, a self-proclaimed spiritual leader and founder of a New Age community called the Global Community Communications Alliance (GCCA). The book exposes Gabriel's cult-like tactics, financial exploitation of followers, and manipulation through a blend of spiritual teachings and pseudoscience. Flatley explores the dynamics within GCCA, Gabriel's troubled past, and the impact of his leadership on his followers. Through interviews and research, the author paints a disturbing picture of a charismatic leader who uses spirituality for personal gain, ultimately raising questions about the darker side of New Age movements.

    My suspicion is that the Urantia Book is from the same source as Uru-asa-alim and the Ibi-uru. The Uru are only one of many “seeder races.” So it’s their history and their religion according to them. Other seeder races have their own histories and traditions as well and are equally valid, whether we have their records or not. Gratitude goes to all of the seeder races for the part they played (for better or for worse) in keeping this planet up and running when humanity here was in its infancy. My suspicion is that the Uru would have us consider theirs the ultimate and only relevant history/religion. It does have that flavor to me. They can claim the entire planet and call it “Urantia” all they like, but my response to that is the same as toward anyone claiming ultimate authority over a planet that was CLEARLY seeded and settled by MANY races. And chances are, those other equally involved and valid races might beg to differ with the Uru’s assessment.

      @@ericjohnson6665Whether something is true has no relation to whether or not it makes you feel good. Furthermore, the Urantia book posits a race-based system which has pushed many (not all, obviously) of its followers into being, well, racists.

    • @ericjohnson6665
      @ericjohnson6665 5 месяцев назад

      @@delusionnnnn - That depends on why you're there. If all you want is history, "truth" is associated with accuracy. If your interests were spiritual, "truth" relates to understanding. I do like both.
      As I have met a few thousand Urantians, I have yet to experience any who are racists. (How many have you met?) There have been times when we've wished there were more people of color in our groups. (My current Study Group is about half and half.)
      Yes, we struggle with the statements by the authors with regard to the relative benefits and weakness of the various sangik races but find a bit of solace in the statement that we don't have anybody on our planet who can give us a good read biologically on who should and should not breed. Thus, we are justified in doing little more than we currently are.
      And I take a dim view of Planned Parenthood's activities during WWII to sterilize people of color. But I also know that a woman who has a debilitating medical condition that prevents her from being able to take care of herself, ought not be breeding, especially if her childbirths are paid for by the government. It seems to me that our government should at least have the right to say after the second one, we're tying your tubes. Maybe even after the first.
      But the issue is a real one. Smart people? have all the kids you want. Dumb ones? One tops.
      While I generally view folks who whine about welfare mothers as being completely disingenuous, that still leaves open the question of what to do with people who contribute absolutely nothing to society? Let's start by sterilizing felons. But this is a topic best left until after we have eradicated racism. I had a teacher in high school who advocated "grey babies" - where no one would be allowed to mate with a member of their own race. The authors of the book, in a roundabout way, support that idea, and say that most inhabited planets merge into one race, although they warn against doing that until after various genetic diseases have been eliminated thru intelligent breeding.
