Yes, he's immortal, and gains infinite and increasing power once his mortal body is destroyed, but Vegito was able to stand up to and even overpower him, only hindered by the fusion timer running out. I feel like a better way to compare this would be to consider techniques such as the Mafuba. If they or someone else could successfully perform it and they had the seal, Vegito would easily be able to hold him off until he can be trapped easily.

An example of that is something that you mentioned which are their personalities. They do NOT have different personalities. The reason they acted differently in their fights was because of the context of their fights. If we take in GT and SDBH, it’s been shown multiple times that they act the same with the same circumstances. Gogeta SSJ4 acted exactly like Vegito did against Buu since they both wanted their opponent to do something first before killing them and were bullying opponents before that. People think Vegito isn’t that serious when he acted seriously against Cumber, LSSJ4 Broly, Demigra, and Xeno Vegito SSJ4 is clearly serious. Another thing about their personalities that people get wrong is the “gogeta is goku dominated while Vegito is vegeta dominated”. That’s not true. Both are just mixes of Vegeta and Goku. The reason why Vegito doesn’t win fights is because the writers simply don’t allow him to win. If we are talking about DBH, I’m pretty sure Toei is very biased and that they favor Gogeta more since they used gogeta first and not Toriyama.

He just didn’t know that their time can be shortened. In the anime, he said that they used all of their energy which means they didn’t have enough energy left to keep the fusion. In the manga, he says that they were so powerful that they made the fusion unstable but he said that as more a theory. The explanation in the anime sounded more definitive and there are other things that supports that being the case. There is evidence that should point to potaras being more powerful than the dance and that includes their powers being multiplied but it’s possible that the writers decided to ignore this. Back in Z, Buu absorbed Gotenks. He gained their memories and their powers. That means he knows how powerful the boost in power is with the fusion dance. He also absorbed Gohan and Piccolo which gave him their power and their intelligence. Buu fought Goku and Vegeta individually before and those two didn’t get that much powerful from when Buu last fought them. Individually, both Super Buu and ultimate Gohan are stronger than Goku and Vegeta. Knowing all this, Buu STILL believed that he could still beat Vegito but Vegito was so powerful that he was hilariously embarrassing Buu and Vegito wasn’t even close to his full power. So I think this clearly shows that the potaras have to be more powerful than the dance.

Some of the fusions' power level here are unkown coz they've either never been enough on screen or never shown their power before and come on, Vegito was ragdolling fused Zamasu, he just couldn't kill him coz he's immortal, and if Vegito was able to do that I can't imagine what a more determined fusion like Gogeta would've done to Zamasu.

@@emperortoho From my experience, I’ve met a lot of Gogeta fans that have a problem in accepting things and they use headcanon as their source for gogeta being stronger than Vegito. An example of that is something that you mentioned which are their personalities. They do NOT have different personalities. The reason they acted differently in their fights was because of the context of their fights. If we take in GT and SDBH, it’s been shown multiple times that they act the same with the same circumstances. Gogeta SSJ4 acted exactly like Vegito did against Buu since they both wanted their opponent to do something first before killing them and were bullying opponents before that. People think Vegito isn’t that serious when he acted seriously against Cumber, LSSJ4 Broly, Demigra, and Xeno Vegito SSJ4 is clearly serious. Another thing about their personalities that people get wrong is the “gogeta is goku dominated while Vegito is vegeta dominated”. That’s not true. Both are just mixes of Vegeta and Goku.
The reason why Vegito doesn’t win fights is because the writers simply don’t allow him to win. If we are talking about DBH, I’m pretty sure Toei is very biased and that they favor Gogeta more since they used gogeta first and not Toriyama.

gogeta tends to be far more serious even if he does act a bit cocky, while vegito is super arrogant and a jokester, in gt they just put vegito’s personality onto gogeta because it was more fun and fit what he was trying to do(tick off omega to make him release his negative energy)
i think(though this is headcanon since gogeta isn’t around long enough to show a concrete personality) that the reason gogeta is so ruthless and to the point is because he knows he has only 30 minutes to be alive and he doesn’t know if he’ll ever be born again, so he wants to spend as much time able to relax and enjoy his surroundings, as shown when he looks up at the stars until he defuses in broly, and doesn’t even try to start a fight with frieza

Theory doesn’t work the same when applied to mortals. These Theories have been only tested on gods, Kais, and maybe angels but not mortals. Not to mention It NEVER said multiplicative versus additive buff in the differences between gogeta and vegito canonically. Your points are moot.
@@devaxionrl8189owasu had to have tested the potaras on mortals before though. If he didn’t know how much time they had, he wouldn’t have said that they have a one hour time limit. He just didn’t know that their time can be shortened. In the anime, he said that they used all of their energy which means they didn’t have enough energy left to keep the fusion. In the manga, he says that they were so powerful that they made the fusion unstable but he said that as more a theory. The explanation in the anime sounded more definitive and there are other things that supports that being the case.
There is evidence that should point to potaras being more powerful than the dance and that includes their powers being multiplied but it’s possible that the writers decided to ignore this. Back in Z, Buu absorbed Gotenks. He gained their memories and their powers. That means he knows how powerful the boost in power is with the fusion dance. He also absorbed Gohan and Piccolo which gave him their power and their intelligence. Buu fought Goku and Vegeta individually before and those two didn’t get that much powerful from when Buu last fought them. Individually, both Super Buu and ultimate Gohan are stronger than Goku and Vegeta. Knowing all this, Buu STILL believed that he could still beat Vegito but Vegito was so powerful that he was hilariously embarrassing Buu and Vegito wasn’t even close to his full power. So I think this clearly shows that the potaras have to be more powerful than the dance.

Both fusions of Vegeto and Gogeta are useful in their own ways like: The dance being more convenient for more short term fights but if Goku and/or Vegeta were tired before the Potara Vegeto would be negatively affected
