  • Furniture decor stamps can be expensive so here is a way to make your own using lino. It's not expensive and you can make your own to use on anything you like from Furniture to fabrics and anything in between. Learning to make your own stamps using Lino is an awesome way to save money and create a collection of your own stamp designs that will last years.

    As a Zimbabwean (a far poorer neighbouring country to South Africa) this video so warmed my heart; you putting on your thinking cap and sharing your wonderful solution with us, is not only very generous but also totally in the 'African spirit, of we will make a plan'. Every video you do is such an inspiration and the two of you are such wonderful company to spend time with.

    Once again i am mind blown. Luv it! The close up on your hands, i am looking at my own, living with lupus makes you modify so many things. Sometimes my hands even take off on a wild jerk!! Something new and interesting. I did linoleum prints in college, but never since. Something new to try to incorporate on furniture and other projects. but clearly time-consuming... I wonder if I still have my old tools? What fun it would be to meet Jayme and to see her artwork!!! Would she be interested? All of us would love to meet her, in fact, to meet all of your children. Hard to imagine you raising 5 children, in general families are so much smaller these days. Finding time to do your art, keep a home, and raise such a large family seems daunting to me. Raising just one daughter while working full-time kept me jumping. In so many ways I'm in awe of you and Martyn, you've both accomplished so much. Much love always, Sydni

    I have been making a homemade stencil or maybe it will stamp with some lace I have. I used thick cardboard to make a frame then bound it with masking tape to strengthen and smooth the edges. Now all I have to do is paint the lace with glue lay it out smooth it let it dry and hope it becomes stiff then I will attach it to the frame. I worked it out in my head myself . I have watched someone stencil with lace straight onto a wall and furniture no frame only holding the lace to the wall with a hand.
    I'm going to try lino stamps O did it in Art in High Schools and still have what I printed.
    Thank you for all the tips and advice.
    Temu online shop is worth having a look at I saw rubber stamps and mouldings similar to the big name expensive stuff cheap as. I'm still checking whether I have to buy more than one, but I have seen as cheap as $2.

    This is the most adorable table. I have to go back to the beginning to see how you made the stamps.The phone was recharging and was at a bizarre angle. I could hear you, but couldn't see you.
    Question: in Italy it's customary to put a heavy protective vinyl "tablecloth" over your table when you're cooking. I can't begin to tell you how ugly they are.
    They do come in plain white though. Can I stamp on vinyl? With Paint? Would I be able to seal it? I'm thinking that if I seal with something that hardens the cloth would crack.
    Maybe I should just forget it and leave it white. 🤔

    • @MadebyMarley
      @MadebyMarley  10 месяцев назад

      Hmmm I see your dylema, you could easily print on it but as you say it's sealing it. Hmmm have you ink? It would be harder wearing and no need to seal stays on..... Although I know you struggle to get what you need In Italy.
      I am wondering about waxing the plastic it would seal it but I think with things sat on it the wax would over time mark.
      What about using an all in one paint with a sealer in it? I think that might work. Then the stamping is already sealed. Could that be the solution?
      I will think about it.
      Lel x
