I bought one yesterday... Woo Hoo... beautiful Mars Orange. All they had on the lot was black, white and silver and popping out like a Florida sunset was orange. I had to have it.
I'm 74 I needed a jazzy color. I will get other colors when I'm old...

I just bought one exactly like this in pearl white with this tan interior the black gray interior you're talking about is more silver in color with black accents but other than that real good review and for anyone looking to buy this all I can say is I love mine.

I have a 2020 Soul LX with the 6-speed manual, and from 2015-20, owned a 2011 with the 4-speed tiptronic. I am now looking to buy the 2022 Soul S IVT, because I find using a clutch to be a mixture of enjoyable and a chore. Though I will miss the fast off-the-line acceleration from revving up and letting out the clutch, I am willing to trade that for the extreme smoothness of the automatic shifts, as well as the new simulated 8th gear that lets the engine rotate at only 2,100 rpm at 70 mph. I test drove one the other week and really enjoyed it...no rubber band sensation from a stop, the transmission operated in the background as it accelerated, and the sport mode in 8th simulated gear left the rpms lower than they have ever been at highway speeds in any Kia Soul.
I've had this model for a week now and I absolutely love it. I'm extremely happy with it.

@@salim777star after fees and everything, it was $26,000. There was a $1,000 markup just because of market demand, but I'm really enjoying it a lot. The ride is smooth and quiet. There's lots of bells and whistles too. I've had it three weeks and I still haven't figured everything out.

Big thumbs up for the most comprehensive (under 10 mins) review of a Soul. But best of all you've reviewed the most sellable version rather than top-of-line or fastest one as most reviewers go for. Also you managed not to make mistakes on features as many reviews do.
I have a 2021 LX, thus missed a chance at the Tech package, that you've appropriately highlighted! One thing also worth mentioning is the amazing stock sound system. I was hoping to find that you had reviewed the Corolla Cross, as I'm considering migrating, but not if it has a lame sound system. Thanks Rob!
Oh yeah, do you sell these, or are you a mechanic? My more realistic plan to get blindspot detection is to swap my car for a 2022, or a used 2021 S...

Rob, I have a 2020 Kia Soul S Cherry Black. Looks just like the one in the video. I love it. As you may know most Kia Soul owners name their cars. Mine is named - now imagine this - Dark Vader! Can ya see it? Good review. May the force be with you.

Almost exactly like my 2021 Soul S, including the wheels. Seat fabric is a little different, and a 7” display instead of 8”. So far, so good!

My first car was a 2015 Kia Soul, and I traded it in for a 2022 Soul X-Line in Cherry Black/Neptune Blue paint during Labor Day weekend and I’m absolutely loving it! From Southern California, it was quite the drive. The new badge got me even convinced to get one.

I love my Kia soul and I always watch these videos thinking about upgrading but I have yet to find a newer one that has all the features that my 2016 exclaim has not sure why they took half those features out but my car has the heated seats in the front and the back, cold seats, panoramic sunroof, light up speakers that change to the music, and smaller things like heated steering wheel just a lot of things that the new ones don’t seem to have anymore

With you living in Colorado, how does the Soul handle driving in the snow?
It's a pretty lightweight front wheel car. I've never had an issue with it in the snow. You'd probably want to stay home during a blizzard.
Is it AWD? If not how are they in the snow? Getting out of a parking spot? Any slippage?
That don't make an AWD version. I've never tried it out in deep snow. I'm assuming it would be a little slippery, but it's a compact front wheel drive car so it should be good once you start going.

It doesn't look like it. The GT-Lines get a black with premium cloth seat trim.
I am in California and there seems to be a shortage of the new 2022 Souls. I have wanted one for years, can buy one now, but I can't find the LX in the color I want. Is it the same story in Colorado and other states?
I guess I can't speak for other locations, but we usually have a pretty good selection of Souls. There are at least 12 on the lot right now. What color of LX are you looking for?

They are plentiful in Austin Texas. 3 local dealers have a total of 76 Soul lx. They are even discounting them when we contacted them
The big deterrent on the LX for me is the lack of LED lighting. Yeah Halogens are ok but no match against LED.
Is there any updates of the 2022 Kia Rio cuz I feel like down grading back to a rio from a 2021 Kia Forte gt manual
At this point it's all rumors and speculation. I keep reading about a possible exterior facelift but that's all I can find. If you don't mind me asking, why do you want to get rid of you Forte GT manual?
@@AllThingsKiaCO I actually don’t want to get rid of it but that be my only choice because my neighbors are idiots that complain about it saying it’s so loud even tho it’s not that loud like it’s a turbo but my neighbors have called the cops on me and my husband 5 times but the cops did not do anything about it cuz they didn’t care but I am not saying it’s a bad car i am just tired of the neighbors knocking on my door all the time and threatening to calling the cops.

Nice video but that lower light is not a fog light, it's the headlight and the upper light is the daytime running light, not a headlight.
Was going to add that. One additional note - the reflector is so big its does a great job at a nice wide beam pattern even with halogen bulbs.
What do you think the odds of me getting a basically new 2022 Kia soul LX would be. I’m 20, my credit is at a 662, but I’m working full time, however I’m about to take out a 50k student loan (hopefully a stafford too), but I have $1,450 to spare every month outside of other bills I pay for and I want a new carrrrr

The LX with tech package is like the S without bigger screen, push start button and what else? Is the S even worth mentioning since the LX is so darn good?😄
The weirdest skimp in this car, to me, is the lack of a way to open the trunk from the inside of the car. In fact the only way to open the trunk is with the key fob and the same goes for the doors. There's no traditional key locks on the outside, so I guess if you ever lose your key or the battery in it dies you just won't be able to get inside your car

Anyone that own one of these know how the road noise is? That's a big one for me, can't stand having a lot of road noise.

Bro, those aren’t the fog lights! They are the headlights! They are lower and the running lights are up higher
Really want one but but need to pass solely on the fact they still use a key in 2022. Once you go push to start you don't go back. Not only that but those type keys are flimsy and very expensive. Kia needs to step it up imo and have push to start button on every car and trim.
They should have push button starts on the their cars.
I actually think their switchblade key feels quite premium in your hand. It has a high quality weight to it, completely the opposite from flimsy.

I’m kind of the opposite. I have a 2022 Subaru Outback Wilderness and my husband has a 2019 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off Road. Mine is push button start and his has an old fashioned key. When we do swap for the day for whatever reason, I am always pleasantly surprised by the key. It just feels more nostalgic and honestly more reliable. Yes I forget literally every time and go to push the button on the dash. I dislike almost everything else about his car tho. 🤷🏻🤷🏻
I hate the gray interior, that color will not look good in a couple of years. I currently own a black 2011 with black interior. I wonder if you can get with black interior ?
Yea, you can get it with the black. I totally agree with you that the black interior will look better over time. I think it just looks better anyway.
