Just FYI for those who want to know- when going down a set of stairs with a woman, it’s correct etiquette to walk in front of a woman in case she falls, she falls forward and can use you to steady herself. However, this means walking just one step in front of her (not four steps and shutting the door in her face) and allowing her to place her hand on your shoulder as you descend together. When going up stairs, you walk one step behind for the same reason.
