There was a global pandemic. Prior to it he had created more jobs than Biden by more than 3 million.

It is bizarre how MAGA continues to blame President Biden for an economy that resulted from Covid but will never blame Trump for the economy damaged by Covid on his watch. In reality neither is to blame for that event, only their reaction to it. Trumps reaction was to minimize and conceal it by his shortcomings and Bidens it to HEAL the economy. Trump, to save himself the embarrassment, tried to disparage medical professionals who wouldn't play along with his nonsensical agenda. He also ruined the reputation of some, who didn't speak up against his inaccuracies, like Dr. Birx. In the end, Trump never cared about the fallen, the hero's of medicine who worked for the people. Trump only cared about himself, his legacy and his political future, so typical of him.
He was the best President of my lifetime.

The checks and documents don’t show criminal intent, which is needed to get a conviction. That’s precisely why they put Cohen on the stand. And now it’s looking like Cohen lied about the very conversation that was supposed to show intent.

@@tarheelfangp Then why did he cover it up. Outside of an election campaign the payment would be legal, but once it is part of an election campaign it is not. Furthermore, stating on business record that it was for legal expenses is not legal and it possibly tax fraud.
@@nlwilson4892 This is not true......politicians are allowed to pay off people with settlements and NDAs.....you have to stop thinking the payment was the alleged crime, it is not a crime. If he used campaign finance funds to pay it and not personal funds, it would have been a crime in violation of campaign finance laws.
I have been arguing the Trump defense is incompetent for not just admitting the payment was made and it wasn't a crime (because it isn't one). Would shut off most of the prosecution's attacks. Pretty sure Trump's ego is preventing that. I picture him talking to his lawyers behind the scenes and being like, "There was no payment, don't admit a payment. There was no affair."
The second part of your comment gets more to the crux of the issue, after the payment was made was there a plot to "cover it up" by falsifying Trump's business ledgers. Or was the entry of "legal expense" (paid to trump's lawyer by the way) vs. "reimbursement" a book keeping error? That is what the prosecution actually needs to prove. Intent to falsify the record BY TRUMP not anyone else. Dunno if they have gotten there. If they do, they also have to prove it was done with intent to aid in the commission of another crime......which again I still don't believe they have proven, and they are out of witnesses.
Another common misconception is that the payment which was annotated "legal expense" in the ledger was to stormy daniels. It was not. It was to Cohen, Trump's attorney/fixer at the time to reimburse Cohen for a payment to Daniels. So is reimbursement to your lawyer for services rendered (here a hush money payment/NDA) not in fact a "legal expense?" I think you can argue both ways honestly. This is where to me it gets a bit into the weeds. I am not a fan of Trump or any of this to be clear, but this is what we as Americans get to go through haha. We will see what the jury thinks....
