Stormy Daniels is an incredibly shrewd and competent woman. She's exactly the type of person who is needed in Congress. She obviously knows how to keep good records and to analyze people and situations. She deserves a great deal more respect.

Glad you enjoyed his nonsense. The reality of the case.... Trump was indicted on "falsifying New York business records"...typically a misdemeanor. However, he is being prosecuted in NY State, for the federal crime of "attempting to influence a federal election" ...which was already investigated by the Justice department who determined there was not crime to prosecute. Ms Daniel's irrelevant testimony, which was allowed by a judge who is clearly partisan, assures Trump will win any appeal. IN summary, the case is about whether its a crime for Trump to pay an attorney and call it "attorney's fees". Seriously, that's how stupid these Democrats hope people are.

If Old Donald took the stand in order to respond to Stormy, the prosecution would have him for lunch, because if he attempted to refute Stormy’s testimony, every word he said would incriminate him so badly, that any vague hope of ‘reasonable doubt’ in the minds of the jury would be pretty much gone.
That reasonable doubt might be the only thing that saves Trump from a jail sentence in at least one of these cases, but its looking less and less likely, these prosecutors have really nailed him to the wall so far.

As a 40 year lawyer down here in Texas I appreciate the analysis, which often incorporates posting of the actual trial testimony and exchanges. There are many many legal analysts all over the networks, who just seem to like to hear there own voices, but you and Glen Kirshner are the best. You sir would have been a very good lawyer. In conclusion, I think today was a good day and Stormy in fact flushed the "orange turd" down...... Good day for democracy, because as Glen says.......Justice Matters.

Agreed. I think his powerful prologues are in part due to a really good research team and his background in dealing with tv drama scripts. He knows how to get to the point and make the journey interesting. Thursday May 9th's episode was one of the best because he used the transcripts to do the work. I am anxious to see if the prosecution will attempt to essentially goad Trump into testifying. That would be...bigly! I would love to hear a narration of that transcript!! And you can bet your bottom dollar that he'd be wailing "I didn't say that!" on the courthouse steps!!!!

The funniest part to me about complaining about the Stormy Daniels testimony is that had Trump not denied the encounter ever happened, there would have been no reason for her to take the stand. If you're being tried for a hush money payment, and you deny the encounter even happened, then the testimony of the person who allegedly receieved the hush money becomes important.
I bet the strategy was devised by Trump personally, and he didn't allow his lawyers any say in it. That's what a bully does - always lie about what he did. OTOH, there's a method to Trump's madness. Openly admitting adultery while his wife had just given birth would significantly damage his standing with some of his supporters. Indirectly, given how these people think, that would also be interpreted as an admission that he compared Stormy Daniels to his daughter - which would further damage his support among that category of voters. He cares about political support more than about winning the case. In his mind, regardless of any criminal conviction, he will be able to avoid prison if he gets elected again.
Yup then you have to question their statements and credibility, to compare to any other evidence… and this case has a paper trail a mile long!
