The 9V aux for pedals is what sold me on this thing. There’s a market for desktop format amp. Synth heads and home studio guys can get allot of mileage from something like this

I haven't even thought of synths - thank you very much...I will try that right now!!

these things are honestly pretty dope. it doesn't do everything the best, but what it DOES do is remove barriers to just getting going with actually playing- and that is a very valuable and fairly rare trait. My pedalboard has an HX Stomp as a kind of central brain and output section, so I keep a pedal-sized speaker on the board and use the headphone out as my tiny practice amp. This is a pedal-tester's dream especially if you're hitting the pawn shops and fleas etc. I'll buy the bass version soon enough unless I can find someone willing to sell me their IK Multimedia iLoud (the original amp/speaker style one, i have the micro monitors which use the exact same drivers and amps).

Great job guys on the review! I should have the video about bass version of the Lorcan up in The next few days! I would say it is not as loud as the guitar version because bass much lower frequencies that require far more power and larger enclosure in order to project as much as the guitar version but it is still a very awesome tool!

I have to say first impressions of the looks was a “um no” thought it looked like something from the 1970’s or something but once you started to use it, great clean tone, the delay was complementing the sound and the distortion is a great sound. Also love how it also powers other pedals and also that all of this is run off battery power so kind of impressed by the end of the vid. Just could have made it look a bit more modem but hey.

1:02 Well as Gandalf fort a demon creature called the Balrock for the “you shall not pass” going to say no to that reference. But Lorcan is a very Irish name so would go with some kind of pixie reference 😜

Perfect practice or travel amp when you can't have access to your regular one.

Could be useful playing with acoustic instruments.

Personally, I have no real use for it now but- there have been times in my life when I would've been stoked to have this little thing. For someone struggling who just wants something that will get them by- this thing is great. Or- for someone stuck in an apartment or something where they can't play an amp but also can't afford to buy modeling technology and FRFR speakers and all that- here you go. There's definitely a niche for this type of thing is my point. As for the looks- wtf? This is a good example of how cultures differ and don't really get one another I think- most westerners aren't going to care for the aesthetics imo. It looks like an old police scanner or something someone painted orange- why orange? Now it's not just ugly- it's super visible and draws ppl's eye. Maybe I'm wrong but I think they dropped the ball on the aesthetics- they could've made this thing look really cool. Imagine this same unit shaped like a tiny Marshal stack- in black. Or make it look old and vintage- shape it like the old 1940's radio with a wooden case and tweed front.
