Caline needs to have a subscription model where you pay a monthly fee and they send you everything they make. A box every month with 3-5 (or sometimes 22) pedals, that’d be fun.

Just an idea, but with the low price of most of their pedals, get three other friends to commit to buying one caline pedal per month. Each of you choose something different from ths others and pass them around once a week. You get to try four pedals a month and then you each get to keep one. If i had friends thats what ivwould do.

I would like to say that regardless of Ryan's assessment of the Mariana, I really want one. Based on this video alone, the "Hot Springs" setting sounds to me like a 1960s 45, like Phil Specter, with tons of room reverb, and what he described as granular, at least to my ears sounds like a Link Wray overdrive amp, there was a phaser or something that reminded me a lot of Tripping Daisy and Soundgarden, even the weird pitch shift tone has potential for sounding like a warped record. Honestly, the whole pedal screams Surf, Grunge, Garage Punk and psychedelic 60s, all at the bottom of the sea. I just ordered one, and I can't wait for it to arrive. Thank you Ryan. I'm sorry you didn't like it, but I think the Mariana sounds awesome.

Cool, you've launched a RUclips channel; I wish you enormous success! Don't lose patience with the process tho; it's going to take a while to get an audience. However, the fact that you're launching a channel based thus far on pedals, tells me you know what you're doing & have a decent ear (what do you mean by getting lucky?) & that furthers my belief that you'll be disappointed in Caline pedals tone wise. To be fair to them, the pedals I got were older models, they have probably learned a lot since then, but that's one of the great parts of having a channel right? You can find out for yourself, & turn that discovery into an video, which the entire community can learn from.

Even though I was mentally yelling at you to turn up the wet knob on the multi reverb when you were saying there was hardly any reverb on one setting. AND also turn down some of the wacky on the other settings. It was the one pedal I was seriously considering of the lot >_<
I feel like pedals like those are just missing a guitarist to come in and really focus the engineers designing them and make them really useable. I love the experimentation and range of available sounds, just the implementation that is slightly off the mark somehow. I think they might be coming up with a few wallet-friendly Earthquaker Devices-challenging designs in a couple more generations of pedal designs.

Thats almost Exactly how I use my Demon Tube screamer. I dial it in fairly mild on the 808 setting and then layer on my MXR '78 Badass Distortion pedal for the gain and harmonic boost. It really makes a tube amp roar and with a decent Solid State amp the gain is enough to throw down some 90s metal tones without sounding too open or flimsy.

They didn't send every pedal. I noticed quite a few Calines not included in the box.
Edit: Ryan has convinced me to buy 6 pedals with 8 circuits, and they're all Caline. The Dolamo D-8 OD is a reboxed/branded Caline CP-25 Highwayman, the CP-26 Snakebite and now the DCP-03 Devilfish and DCP-06 Sundance Boost/OD.
I thought about going for the CP-50 Osmium distortion, but the CP-27 Sandstorm is the one I settled on. At some point, I'm going to have a completely Caline pedal board.
The only non Caline boarded pedal he convinced me to buy is the Movall Phoenix Wings Tremolo.

Caline is the Marvel of pedal companies. So many variations and pedals and no one can keep up and pay attention to lol

When you were playing around with the Mariana pedal some sounds reminded of Lonely Is The Night by Billy Squire. The intro to the song anyway.

!!! 🙌 I wish CALINE would focus more on what modern distortions and overdrives that are out at the moment. 🙌!!!

Great review. You chopped the video into chapters, how handy. Caline should pay you more.

they paid me nothing so more is always an option, lol. I clicked the 'paid promotion' button because they sent me all the pedals. and technically that is a form of "payment".

You know... I love this series, but can't find so many of these pedals. Either they aren't available in Canada, or are under a different name. It's probably a good thing. My wallet would die death by 1000 $20 cuts.

A lot of these Caline pedals are new so not many suppliers have them available yet but will be available soon, the best online site to buy them is AliExpress at great prices.

The 'Brigade' pedal is, left hand side (the side he doesn't like) the Midlander OD i.e tube screamer clone. On the right hand side is the Clear Sky pedal.
