When the world went mad in 2016 (first Brexit, then Trump, Boris Johnson, Jair Bolsonaro, the pandemic and all the pandemonium since then) I often found myself wishing he was still around to make the daily headlines just a tiny bit less horrifying. • Tea, coffee, or hot chocolate. Coffee keeps you awake, green or black tea can make you feel more awake as well ☕
• Your study/work stuff: your laptop/tablet/ phone,
a few pens, paper or whatever you need 📚
Remember to take breaks whenever you need along with moving your body around a bit so you're not always sitting! Have a beautiful day/night ✨

I believe they're more in awe of him - that feeling of being unworthy in the presence of a living legend. I think I've seen similar deference by reporters interviewing Bob Woodward.

Ugh!!! Totally agree. This was painful to watch. When they have multiple interviewers and they’re all trying to get their question in it’s so clunky. One interviewer is sufficient, with only a few questions and then natural follow ups like you’re actually listening to Jon’s responses.

I started watching The Daily Show with Jon Stewart when I realized he wasn't just funny, he was more informative than most network "news" broadcasts.
--the one exception being The PBS NewsHour.
Interesting how the hosts seem to abruptly cut him off when he mentions billionaire network owners or the news media. You're gonna go after both sides, right? Okay...we gotta go now.

speaking of games, one of the funniest things i ever saw was on jon's tour of the daily show studio where he opened the door on a room full of dogs seated around a poker table with cards and chips, the whole deal. i don't know how you got the dogs to pose for that but it was just hilarious!

I like how they tried to pin a title of "influencer" on him several times. I think Jon's hope of being adequate air cover for the boots on the ground activists was a great response.
They tried to link him as an influencer with his work for veterans and the 911 responders, but back to Jon's air cover goal... he put his boots on for those.
A great interview by Jon. Host's always underestimate him if they think they can get a spin off.
Past your prime? You're too humble sir, far too humble.
They ask the opposing side's objections disguised as their own questions. BBC News does this all the time as well. If you're being interviewed you better have a good answer for the opposition, or you have nothing to add to the conversation. They're not always trying to "get a spin" stop being so cynical and think about how the world actually works.
I feel like I should add that I admire Jon Stewart's integrity and everything he has done to be a voice of reason. I can't abide your fawning though.

As a republican and part of MAGA army, I gotta say its good to see John Stewart back. I may not agree with a lot of his view but he’s one of the very few on the crazy left I can’t help but respect. The only other democrat I respect as much as him was Kennedy but he had enough sense to leave the woke alphabet squad and become independent. Welcome back the one and only true host of the Daily Show I look forward to the difference perspectives and his style of comedy.
