Hi! Cool video. Just a tip: threat the wick with the metal on the other side. The metal piece should be on the flat side of the candle, so the “top” when you’re pouring.
hi i made these candles today, but the wick extinguishes when it starts to burn and reach the surface of the wax ? Why do you think this is happening ? & also at what length did you trim the Wick ? @itsmejenn
Everytime i pour wax in mould, it gets fluffy and all ruined and start coming out of the mould on its own. I dont understand what did i do wrong? I boiled the wax till 85 degree celsius and poured it at 65 degree celsius. Pls help!
hi i have a question about the bubble mould I made from the start a tiny hole in the center but now the hole got bigger and I dint know how so now I can't fill my candle without it to be all over the place. Do you buy several moulds and use new one each time ? or do you reuse one I need to know what I am doing wrong
I bought a pack of 6 and cut it up to get 6 individual ones - cheaper option than having to buy 6x single ones. But since then I haven't bought anymore i just reuse my moulds! Did you accidentally make the hole bigger while inserting your wick? That's what I did and that's why mine leaked in this video. I used tape to help support it.
I’m also looking for eco-friendly wicks for my the larger Bubble candle silicone mold, where can I get a good supply? Thanks and loving your videos! Subscribed!
Hi there! I use the soy wax that you indicate but when they dry they break, crack and dry not neatly, at the moment it is winter in my country Chile, will the temperature be very cold that will affect? Anyway I will try what you indicate to heat the molds and what you mentioned in a response to another subscriber, if it works for me I will definitely share it here in case someone else happens 😊
Hi hun! I feel your pain! So I heat my jars to help with the adhesion. In terms of cracks, maybe consider other factors as well such as your pouring rate - try not to pour too fast, as well as the temperature you pour at. I read online that cracks can also appear when the wax cools too fast, and since you live in a cold climate, maybe pour at a higher temperature. Hope that makes sense! Let me know how you go and have fun xx
hi! I'm starting doing candles, but all of them at the middle of the time in the mold, always open a hole near the center. can you help me please?? thank u very much
Hi Maria! I think you may be experiencing sink holes. Sink holes are generally formed when air is trapped in the wax. To prevent this from happening you can do a couple of things: you could gently stir the wax before pouring, make sure your wax is NOT experiencing a large temperature change for e.g. transferring your wax onto a cold surface - that being said, maybe even trying warming up your candle jars before pouring too. Additionally, if you're STILL experiencing holes in your candles a nice hack is to just save some extra wax to pour later on top and fill the hole. Hope this helps xx
Hi! Would like know how to make pastel colour candles? Or how how much amount of powder/liquid colour needs to be poured so that output is of pastel colour?
I used dye blocks and I would just shred off a few flakes. I slowly add small amounts of dye and it should just have a tint of that colour. To make sure you have the colour you want, you could grab a bit of the wax with a stick or something and place it on the bench to see what colour it dries. I always tested it this way. Hope that helps! If you have any other questions, reach out xx
Hii! I bought some stuff to make candles and wanted to know how much fragrance i should put in a big bubble candle? Im asking before doing one because I don’t want to messed it up. Loved the video!
Hey hun no worries!! This genrally depends on your fragrance oil. With mine the recommended percentage is 6-10%. Therefore, to figure the amount of fragrance in grams just multiply it by your percentage. Formula: (the amount of wax used) * (fragrance percentage). For example for 8% of fragrance and 130g of wax: 130 * 0.08 = 10.4g of fragrance. If you have any more questions let me know, hope this helped. 💜
Hi, love your video, so helpful but I wonder how it will go when you lit it? I bought the wick from amazon but it doesn't burn well, it melts quickly and only half of the candle...🤔 Any tips? 😊
Yeah the burn time for these candles aren't long, they are mainly used for deco. I don't leave mine burning no longer than 2 hours. In terms of the burn diameter, I'm quite happy with how much it mine burns as I dont want my moulds melting and making a mess. Try finding a bigger wick size if you want it to burn more 😊
