Combat trained active military currently doing a ridiculous job as display features for the public. It you don't want the public by the horses have the horses stand in a fenced area. The horses are not controlled and bite and push humans which NEVER should be allowed. Neither horses nor riders a trained well enough for the roles they are forced to play.

    • @carollewis6636
      @carollewis6636 6 месяцев назад +31

@@mbmochinski not my country, not my culture. The selfie-obsessed, Tiktok generation needs to learn that not everyone is a willing target for their constant need to be photographed. Tourists need to respect local customs. The sign clearly says horses my bite and kick.Perhaps they should add multiple languages to this. Basic ettiquete and common sense dictate that you NEVER approach an animal (of any size) without asking the human accompanying it if it is permissable. They are not stuffed toys or cartoons, they are 1000 pound live animals who can be frightened or spooked. If you stand in range, you might get bitten. That's on you, the horse cannot read.

Having ridden horses all of my life including a bit as a mounted police officer, they can be loving and orney from one sec to another.
You must wonder when the horses are in the barn do they talk to one another and kibbitz about i nailed that one bugger good, bit him in his shoulder, or her on her boobby.
Or gee a kid was in a wheelchair and i just let him keep petting me.
Or one father brough his Down child and she was so nice to me, i started to cry.
My Saint Bernards, we lived next to a horse farm, would go over every day and look at the horses, these were the big Belgiums that are 1500-2000 lbs.
My Saints went from 125-190 lbs.
But they loved these guys and the horses loved seeing them and playing.
So Funny the Saint would bring gifts to the horses from their old blankets to big tree limbs.
I say THANK GOD you has given us the wonderful animals of the land, air and seas.
Lets do our best to love and respect them always.
    Protect them always.
    Pax+

Most people don't even know some of the most important warning signs that a horse is "Irritated"...For instance, if the horses ears are pinned back, that horse should NOT be touched..Any horse that has it's ears pinned back, do not want you near them...A horse can almost hear your heartbeat, and if you are nervous, Oh they know it!

Not that the sign that clearly says do not touch reins helps in any way. Maybe the Guards should shoot videos of them showing up at Americans' and other foreigners' homes suddenly and standing on the porches taking photos, or better yet touching their cars etc see how long it is until they start saying stop touching lol

I think the guards like to troll people as well. 😂 Especially when tourists overstep their boundaries.

It really annoyed me when people insisted on touching the horse’s reins disrespectfully

I don’t think the tourists realize the soldier and horse are combat trained and ready. Otherwise they wouldn’t feel so free to grab at the horse.

This horse loves having his face scratch. He presents himself for scratching

People are stupid. Sign clearly says DONT TOUCH THE REINS! But people are so unobservant and rules never apply to them 🙄 Guard has to pull the reigns away from several. Some may not be able to read English but still….common sense would say just don’t touch a guard horse. They’re working, they’re not a cute little pony in the field who wants an apple and a scratch

Yes people are stupid. They watch animal cartoons and movies that make animals seem human. My father rode a horse to public school. I am done riding horses. These tourists have no conception of the hurt that a horse can accidentally inflict. I always wore boots around horses and never turned away while engaging in tacking.
