There is a group of believers that believe God is sovereign, but still recognize man’s free will to reject him.
A group that believes that a sinner must first be drawn of God through conviction, but also believes that the Grace required for salvation has appeared unto all men.
A group who holds to the fact that once a man has submitted to the righteousness of God and believed for salvation, that the life he receives is eternal, having been sealed by the Holy Spirit.
A group that believes that salvation is by grace through faith alone, but also believes that once a man is saved he is a new creature and his salvation is to be evidenced by his works.

Don’t ever let the debate of these topics confuse you. If you want to come to Christ, you can. Let God figure the rest out. Also, notice how whenever the Bible is talking to the unsaved or about the way for them, it’s always whosoever will and giving them the gospel and condition. The passages talking about predestination, election, and God choosing, (such as 2 Thess 2:13, Romans 8:29-30), are only addressed to believers when teaching them.

In Matthew 18, Jesus doesn't seem concerned about which of those beautiful children were chosen from before the foundation of the world for salvation, and which of these little children were predestined to perish. He knows that, because of the cross, every one of them and all future generations of children, will be drawn to Him with the God-given ability to seek him, reach out for him, and find him, because he will never be far from each and every one of them. I don't recall ever listening to Charles Lawson before, though I most definitely had previously heard of him. So, Brian, after watching your video, I found the first sermon that popped up, titled, "The Church Marrying the World", and listened to it. I found it to be of what I'd describe as being a bit lighter than what I normally like from a sermon, but certainly nothing bad in it. Then at the end, the last three minutes, he said some things which I think need repeating:
"You're on a journey. People mean well. You come down to the altar and you pray. They'll say, "Now you're saved. You prayed the sinner's prayer." They mean well. They're trying to help you. But that doesn't mean you're saved. What may happen to you is that what's working inside your soul is the beginning of a drawing God. It's the of the light shining in your heart. You're realizing a need to be born again. But during this process, you haven't really come to the point to where you can exercise saving faith in the Lord Jesus Christ."
"You call upon God out of a believing heart and at that moment He'll save you, write your name in the Lamb's Book of Life, and when that ever happens to you, you'll know it from that day forward and nothing will ever be able to change it and the Lord Jesus Christ becomes everything to you. Not your religion, not your church, not your pastor, not your leaders, but Christ, the Son of God, from that day you fall in love with Him and you'll love Him for the rest of your life. Have you been there?"
Those issues are some of the very most important for anyone who wants to be or professes to be a Christian. Do we have a "saving faith" instead of a dead faith? Just repeating a sinner's prayer, even if we mean it, does not automatically give us that "saving faith". Brian, I wish you would make more videos on what is that "saving faith" that Pastor Lawson mentions, because I fear so very many Christians have absolutely no idea what a saving faith is. I was one of those, who for decades professed to be a Christian, yet I lacked a real saving faith. My faith was merely a superficial asserting to the facts of who God and Jesus Christ were, having some sorrow for my sin, but not anything more, yet I thought it meant I was a Christian, because I once prayed the sinner's prayer.
In the second paragraph I quoted from Pastor Lawson, he seems to be upholding the P in TULIP - the perseverance of the saints, when he says, "you'll love Him for the rest of your life." And, based on my experience, at least so far, after becoming a true Christian, it seems to be correct. I cannot imagine ever leaving Him and not loving Him. Yes, of course I stumble often in my life, but never do I stop loving Him. And, as told to us in 1 John 5:1-4, "Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him. By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith."
If we ever stop loving God, it is proof that we never had a saving faith to begin with. And if we truly have a saving faith, we will love God, want to obey Him, and will continue in that love/obedience, albeit not always perfect.
Brian, you spend an inordinate amount of time on making videos opposing Calvinism. I only wish you'd devote a fraction of that time/effort on teaching about what is true saving faith, and how one can be assured that their life/heart bears fruit that is an indication that their faith as that true saving faith. I fear that countless numbers of professing Christians are heading to destruction, because they were told by some pastor that they're saved, because of a prayer they prayed, when they absolutely are not, just as I was.
For anyone reading this, if you want assurance of your salvation (if you have true salvation), or are willing to be convicted of your lack of real salvation, if that's the case, then read and read and read again 1 John until it really sets in and shows you your true heart. That's what I did after doubting my salvation for so long, and God, via His Word, showed me the truth, and I realized my faith was a dead faith, and in realizing that, came to a true saving faith in our wonderous Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

In fact Paul wrote in Romans 10: 9,10 "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine *heart* that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the *heart* man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

If you dig into the works of the real man in Geneva, you will get one jaw dropping shock after another. That's my experience. It took several years because of all the candy coated garbage and lies written/spoken about him to paint a totally different picture. It all boils down to Jesus's words....."you will know them by their works."
All those great stories about how wonderful and "progressive" he was...are 100% lies. I used to believe them. Once the real man was uncovered then it became easy to see why his religion is the darkness that it is, its modeled step for step after Jean Cauvin's own self.

I also believe that we are all born in sin and falling short of the glory of God and we are all in need of the salvation of Christ Jesus. A child will grow up with own free will and have to choose between right and wrong, and be held accountable for themselves as soon as they can distinguish the difference. All will be judged by Jesus, according what they know, every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus is Lord.

I still remember the first time I recognized my own personal sin. I don't remember the sin, but I clearly remember the conviction when I knew it without being told it was wrong.
Romans 7:9 (KJV) For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.
Romans 7:10 (KJV) And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death.
Romans 7:11 (KJV) For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me.
Romans 7:12 (KJV) Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.

We have flesh inclined to sin because we are descended from Adam. We were in his loins when he sinned. But Augustinian Original Sin and sin nature are not found anywhere in scripture. He needed justification for infant baptism to increase political power and got the idea from pagans who were dipping their babies to emulate the story of Achilles. Had nothing to do with the Bible.
Biblically, two year olds do not sin--they are not capable of sinning because they lack the mental capacity to do so. There's a reason the Hebrews believed in an age of accountability that was repeated over and over throughout the OT.
Romans 7:9-11 literally says we are born spiritually alive and die spiritually when we willfully sin--when we know right from wrong and choose wrong. So babies are not born evil. But the spirit of sin comes to life in them when they come to know the law.
Total depravity is a lie. To believe such is to deny that we are made in God's image.

@@tannerfrancisco8759 You begin by stating that "We have flesh inclined to sin because we are descended from Adam"; which is basically the doctrine of original sin, which you then attack as something that Augustine made up in order to justify infant baptism. You then state that a sin nature is not found anywhere in the Bible. But Paul calls it "the flesh." And in Romans 7 Paul goes on to state "For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but how to perform what is good I do not find" (v. 18).
Where do sinful passions, lusts and desires come from? Why two year olds through temper tantrums? Why do young children lie, steal, and hit others? Do you mean that if there was no law there would be no works of the flesh?
God did not created us totally depraved. We became totally depraved when we fell. (By "total depravity" we mean that sin has affected every part of our being, including are ability to think and reason. Read Eph. 4:17-19.)

This is the clincher for me. I cringe when any of the sermons I watch from otherwise solid teaching for the most part, start talking about evil babies. Now you used old footage, but this is so true about Calvinists and it is what gives them away. MacArthur was the one I first heard it from. Of course, it doesnt matter that babies have undeveloped brains. Actually I have read that a human brain doesnt fully develop until the age of 20: surprisingly that is what the Old Testament uses to begin adulthood and responsibility see Exodus 30:14. Similar example in 1 Chronicles. This is, at least, for men. Women are treated differently and their expectations come at a much younger age. Notice all these men pastors talk about a baby, but say "he" and won't apply this to a baby girl. I wonder why that is. On the other hand, pastor Charles Lawson has and continues to support capable women who show interest in serving in some type of leadership in his church. Anyway, good to see you Brian. Let's get back to positive bible studies and not so much doing what everyone else is doing, which is talking about each other. Love you brother. ❤

All these false doctrines have one thing in common, they are special because of some knowledge not found in the gospel or Bible. And they always raise themselves up with it, not the Lord.
Self-righteousness will send more people to hell than anything. We are blessed the Lord gave us a way out. It's all about what He did, not what we do or don't do. He died for ALL, and salvation is available for anyone. From the drug addicted prostitute to the little old lady who's never cussed, drank, or smoked, in church every time the doors open. Both are sinners needing Jesus. The sad thing is that the drug addict is easier to witness to. Because she knows she's a sinner. The little old lady believes she's good enough.

I Have attended a Baptist church for most of my Christian life, never have gone to a Calvinist church. What I find interesting when I decided to look at where I stand concerning the elect, is the fact that both sides use the same scripture to back up and make their point for their belief. (both are very compelling) I know God is a just God, and the Bible tells us He does what He pleases, I certainly have no idea why he does some things the way he does, but He does. Another thing that I have often thought about, is that everything you can see, everything you lay your eyes upon has a creator. Now I'm not comparing us to a product or an automobile, but all of these creators, create products to specifically destroy, these products that are created by their creator were doomed from the beginning. I retired from the fire department of 35 years, Ford Motor company had a program where we would get a car hauler of brand-new vehicles, including Lincoln's, just to cut up, and train on. These vehicles were never intended for anything more, that was their purpose. So why can't God do whatever he wants, its right or wrong because he says it is. Personally, I don't want to believe that God picks some for heaven and not others. One thing I do know and believe, if you have a desire to be saved and know and follow God, then He's not going to say no.

If believers can lose their salvation, then grace is not grace because for believers to be saved, they ought not to do something that will make them loose their salvation. In other words it is by their deeds of not sinning that is going to take them to heaven, then what becomes the essence of grace?
Perseverance of the Saints. Yes, children of light are to persevere in a world filled with darkness. They become the light wherever they go according to their master. If you think it is all about roses and flowers then think again. For the sake of our faith and expressing the faith through trials for the unbelieving to witness to also come into the Faith is of outmost importance.

The fact that God has so much to say about that subject tells me that getting our doctrine right matters a lot,
For example there will not be any liars in Heaven, rev 21:8 says so.
False doctrine/teaching is lying and unrepented sin is not going to Heaven.

I'm not a Calvinist, but we're born in sin, therefore having a sinful nature; are we not to let sin reign in our mortal bodies? David's baby died and David acknowledged He will one day go to where his dead baby is, which is in the presence of the Lord. If Calvinism were true then David would have no assurance whatsoever that his dead baby was one of the elect that died and went to heaven. He is acknowledging where all babies who die go. And that verse you quoted does not say David was born a sinner at all. Read it again! It says he was brought forth in iniquity. Does a baby bring forth itself or do parents bring forth a baby? Didn't your parents ever teach you about the birds and the bees? And the next part... that is not his iniquity he is speaking of. "In sin my mother conceived me." Who was in sin in that part of the text, David or his mother? His mother obviously as the text plainly says.
Jesus in Matthew 18 affirmed that a child is considered innocent by God which is why Jesus told the adults they must be like a child to enter into heaven. If the age of accountability was not a true concept in Scripture and children were considered sinners by God, then what Jesus said means adults must be like sinners in order to enter heaven, and we know that would make no sense since the blood of Christ washed away the sins of every believer, and by the Grace of God believers are justified before God, seen as in the righteous of Christ who knew no sin and was perfectly righteous.

Jospeh, let me give you another category that ends in "ian." Christian. This is a person who follows Jesus Christ and God's Word. The other 4 categories are named after two men whose names never appear in the Bible, and the only people I ever hear throwing around those labels at people are Calvinists.

The names only represent the interpretation they believe about salvation in scriptures. They are all following Christ. They are also Christians. I would like to Add Jacob Arminius to Augustine, Calvin and Pelagius. There are no new revelations the past 500 yrs. What you believe about Total depravity will align with any of these men. The names are just a form of identification. If you disagree with Calvin or ARminius on total depravity then your interpretation is the same as Pelagius or the semi pelagians. I am not saying you are a pelagian but you are supporting or aligning with their theologies whether we like to identify with them or not.

² Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD unto the shepherds; Woe be to the shepherds of Israel that do feed themselves! should not the shepherds feed the flocks?
³ Ye eat the fat, and ye clothe you with the wool, ye kill them that are fed: but ye feed not the flock.

²⁰ Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD unto them; Behold, I, even I, will judge between the fat cattle and between the lean cattle.
    ²¹ Because ye have thrust with side and with shoulder, and pushed all the diseased with your horns, till ye have scattered them abroad;
²² Therefore will I save my flock, and they shall no more be a prey; and I will judge between cattle and cattle.

We have _both_ the knowledge of Good and evil, is our knowledge of GOOD depraved? If God called it "good" then who is anyone to call it depraved? Hang that on your wall of blasphemous beliefs.
Calvinist depend on terms and phrases that they make up from the Bible. I've been a Believer for over 50 years and if I have learned anything it is that nobody can put God in a neat little box, packaged and wrapped, categorized and filed, whatever you want to try to do, you can't do it. That is a fleshly/carnal attempt at understanding the spiritual. Did everyone catch that? A _fleshly_ attempt to understand GOD!!!! O, you foolish little sons and daughters of Adam. The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom, not doctrines and imaginations of men! Bless God.
If anyone thinks they can define the parameters of Grace then you haven't met God or if you have, you haven't learned very much. His Grace is EVERYTHING. GRACE FOR STRENGTH, WISDOM, COURAGE, MERCY, USE OF HIS NAME, AN ENTRANCE BEFORE HIS THRONE, FOR COMMUNION WITH THE FATHER, FOR GOOD WORKS, FOR PATIENCE, FOR ENDRANCE, AND THATS JUST THE SHORT LIST.
I learned that from walking with my Lord and hearing the Holy Spirit of God Who was freely given me, to teach all things to me. I would calvinists could taste how wonderful and blessed a walk with God and hearing Him is.

You are referring to just one verse, but I read the whole passage and some verses that comes first from Jesus which is a blanket statement about children, not just about believing children, "3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. 4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. 5 And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me." Those are 3 statements about salvation and going to heaven. Then 4th comes the warning from Jesus to anyone in this life that offends one of these little ones that believes in Him.
That aside, are you suggesting that offending a little child that is not a believer in Christ (yet) is okay and not offensive or considered sinful to God? Or are you saying that we don't have to be like a little child to get into heaven unless that little child is a believer in Christ because that is not what Jesus said. If it was, then why did Jesus refer to the little child at all as an example? He could have just pulled aside a believing adult and said you must be like this believing adult to get into heaven. That would have been true too. After all, that is the Gospel of how we are saved, by believing in Christ by faith, so it would be correct if Jesus had done that. But he chose a little child and that has meaning and significance that encompasses the Gospel by which we believe and are forgiven of ours sins while at the same time Jesus is saying something about the innocence of children as God sees them.

I'm sure if someone were to scrutinize enough hours with the intent of trying to discredit him they could capture a screenshot with any hand gesture they are looking for and a make some baseless accusation out of it. I really would not give such accusation any credibility but simply test what the man preaches against the Word of God. I find him to be a very solid preacher and he has been my favorite pastor to watch online for over a decade. However, that said, I can also say there have been a few times he taught something that I disagreed with. That is okay. What is so offensive about babies being born sinners or w sin nature? Ps 58:3 says the wicked are estranged from the womb. They go astray speaking lies as soon as they are born. It started from the womb. Rom 3 says there is no one righteous, no one who does good, for all have sinned. Rom 5:19 because of one man's disobedience many were made sinners. In adam we all died 1 cor 15:22. Regardless of whether you reject total depravity or not, we were all radically impacted by adam's sin I believe from birth. We were not born regenerated by the Spirit and that's the default. The term viper in diapher is strong, something I would not mention in preaching but if you do careful exegesis of Rom 3, 5 you can conclude that no one is born perfectly righteous. Stop getting emotional people and seriously exegete your bible and make your own conclusions.
Brian quotes from Matt 18 about children which simply means at their young age it is easier to teach them the gospel and train them before they become hardened reprobate adults. Train them when young in the way they should go so when they are old they will not depart from it. Actually that is a scripture verse in proverbs 22:6. Matt 18 is silent on the anthropology of babies. Do a comprehensive systematic study of scriptures vs eisegesis based in Matt 18 alone.

    • @faithonfireministries
      @faithonfireministries  4 месяца назад +1

It's Matthew 18 by the way, not 19. And how can you say I eisegeted the text when I simply read Matthew 18 and the words of Jesus are not confusing at all and were shown right on the screen what I was reading? It is His WORD, not mine, so don't be a liar. It was the two Calvinist I featured who taught their own evil imagination and did not quote any Scripture doing it. You are siding with them and refuting the words of Jesus. I read and displayed them. Verse 10 says, "Take heed that ye *despise not one of these little ones* ; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven." What part of that verse do you disagree with? I can assure you that it is "despising little ones" to claim that they are vipers in diapers, or to concoct some nonsense fantasy about them being evil giant baby killers.
Ezekiel 18: 20, "The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him."
Psalm 127: 3 says, "Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward." Why would God reward people with an evil snake (vipers in diapers) for a child?
Luke 18: 16 says, "But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God." This means we are to tell children Jesus loves them and welcomes them into His Kingdom! The opposite of that would be telling children they are evil snakes and wicked creations.

@@faithonfireministries I understand babies in diapers offends. But calvinists dont mean to insult and love their children. Whether you believe in Original sin or not, Total depravity or not, there is a direct link from the sin of Adam to all men. In Adam all DIED 1 Cor 15:22. Rom 5:19 because of one man's disobedience many were MADE sinners. Also Rom 5:12 sin and death spread to ALL men through one man. Rom 5:18 through one man's offense judgement came to ALL men resulting in condemnation. Are we born regenerated ready to enter the kingdom? Why did Jesus say you must be born again to enter His kingdom John 3:3? Ps 58:3 The wicked are estranged from the womb astray and speaking lies as soon as they are born.. So if this is true, are you saying some babies were born perfectly righteous, they were not astray, did not speak lies as soon as they were born? Where is that specific verse? I believe Ps 58:3 is universal. I believe babies are a blessing from the womb according to scriptures . Sure God admires the softness, humility of children compared to an adult reprobate because it is easier to teach and train them in righteousness, the gospel when young and when they get old they will not depart from it Prov 22:6. I believe this is what matt 18 is all about. We must come to Jesus in humility like the little children, soft and easy to teach.
So is your anthropology of babies based on Matt 18 alone? It is silent on this subject. There are more explicit, specific, weightier texts on anthropology of man like Rom 3, 5 that establishes the direct link between Adam and all men. Arminians and provisionists may have nuanced disagreements on these but they do not deny the effects of Adam's sin on all men.
Answer this. In this video are you justified in calling calvinists CULT because their view of original sin or depravity is stronger?
Truth is what we have is a nuanced disagreements on some doctrines which all Christians have. That does not qualify calvinism as a cult based on scripture. That is not damnable heresy or false gospel that you accuse calvinism of. Its obvious Brian that you have strong biases against calvinism.

Here's some of what Jesus taught that was edited out of the Gospels due to political influences...
Jesus forbade his followers from eating dead animals, and the tables he overturned in the Temple belonged not just to the moneychangers but to those selling "kosher" meat from animals slaughtered inside the Temple walls, which was the far greater offense.
Excerpts from the Essene Gospel of Peace, Book I, some essential lost teachings every true Christian should hear.
And his disciples questioned Jesus: "Whither should we go, Master, for with you are the words of eternal life! Tell us, what are the sins which we must shun, that we may nevermore see disease?"
Jesus replied: "Be it so according to your faith," and he sat down among them, saying:
"It was said to them of old time, 'Honor thy Heavenly Father and thy Earthly Mother, and do their commandments, that thy days may be long upon the earth.' And next afterward was given this commandment, 'Thou shalt not kill,' for life is given to all by God, and that which God has given, let not man take away. For I tell you truly, from one Mother proceeds all that lives upon the earth.
“Therefore, he who kills, kills his brother. And from him will the Earthly Mother turn away, and will pluck from him her quickening breasts. And he will be shunned by her angels, and Satan will have his dwelling in his body. And the flesh of slain beasts in his body will become his own tomb. For I tell you truly, he who kills, kills himself, and whoso eats the flesh of slain beasts, eats of the body of death. For in his blood every drop of their blood turns to poison; in his breath their breath to stink; in his flesh their flesh to boils; in his bones their bones to chalk; in his bowels their bowels to decay; in his eyes their eyes to scales; in his ears their ears to waxy issue. And their death will become his death. For only in the service of your Heavenly Father are your debts of seven years forgiven in seven days. But Satan forgives you nothing and you must pay him for all. 'Eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot; burning for burning, wound for wound; life for life, death for death.' For the wages of sin is death. Kill not, neither eat the flesh of your innocent prey, lest you become the slaves of Satan.
“For that is the path of sufferings, and it leads unto death. But do the will of God, that his angels may serve you on the way of life. Obey, therefore, the words of God: 'Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to everything that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is breath of life, I give every green herb for meat. Also the milk of every thing that moveth and liveth upon earth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given unto them, so I give their milk unto you. But flesh, and the blood which quickens it, shall ye not eat. And, surely, your spurting blood will I require, your blood wherein is your soul; I will require all slain beasts, and the souls of all slain men." -The Essene Gospel of Peace, Book I

For the record, I personally am not a Calvinist, but as a Christian of more than 3 decades, I can only affirm what scripture teaches me in regard to election, thus agree with it.
I also have my personal testimony that also agrees with it. I didn't purposely choose to hear the Gospel as a young 20 year old woman. I merely stopped by a church to pick up a friend who needed a ride. I went into that church for the AC to escape the sweltering Louisiana summer heat. In that place, I heard the Gospel for the first time and was immediately filled by the Holy Spirit. My heart was instantly changed from a young liberal woman full of ambition who knew nothing about Jesus, to being filled with the Spirit of the Lord and my heart set aflame in love for Jesus. As I've reflected through the years on that day, I live with all certainty that the Lord Himself orchestrated the events of my day, if not my life, that would lead me into that church to hear the Gospel. That is the defining moment personally of being called by the Father into Christ.

I think that is wonderful that you got saved that day. I believe you, but your understanding of how and why you got saved seems to have be way off due to your acceptance of Calvinistic doctrines you were later taught after the fact. They are all wrong! That does not mean you lose your salvation, but it does mean you got confused by some very sneaky false teachers and therefore you will not pass on the good news of the Gospel correctly but instead talk of it as though it is some secret reserved VIP invitation only to some pre-chosen few, whomever that may be.
Revelation 22: 17 says "And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely." That is the wonderful good news that the Gospel in which the Spirit (Holy Spirit) and Bride (Believers on earth) say come because both are actively engaged in spreading the Gospel with an open invitation to all, to come and be saved eternally by Jesus Christ.
Election and Predestination are in the Bible but it is nothing like what you have been taught. Just go watch my last video from last week or two on Ephesians 1 and you will hear the truth of election and predestination in Scripture. God does not force salvation upon those who reject Christ by not believing in Him. The Holy Spirit convicts people of unbelief through the preaching of the true Gospel but some people quench the Spirit and do not believe and the Holy Spirit does not indwell them to force them into believing the Gospel anyway. Irresistible Grace in Calvinism is found no place in the Bible. As far back as Joshua, God speaking through Him said "choose you this day whom you will serve. As for me and my house, we shall serve the Lord." It is a choice!
God knows it is a choice and that is why He commands us to believe in Jesus in Scripture. God would not have to command anyone to do anything that He already predetermined them to do or not to do. 1 John 3 says, "23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. 24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us."
You see there? It is crystal clear. The Spirit is not given to anyone who does not first obey that commandment and believe in Jesus. Belief (Faith) comes before regeneration by the Holy Spirit. Calvinism teaches that backwards. Also, if God predetermined that many would never believe in Jesus, then that would be God's will for their life and God would be commanding them to do the opposite of His will for them, contradicting and defying Himself. Nope, not a chance.
Faith comes by hearing the Gospel according to Romans 10: 17. That is why Calvinism is backwards and wrong. They have substituted a pagan Gnostic view of salvation and just wrapped it up in Bible terms and badly misinterpreted isolated prooftexts that when given the actual correct context just by reading the Bible a bit more, it says the very opposite of what Calvinism teaches.
Some real Christians get all confused when these big name preachers in suits and ties who look all dignified and trustworthy stand at a pulpit and absolutely pervert God's Word with zero shame or fear of God and say that salvation is reserved for the few, which they themselves are part of naturally. They say salvation is a result of God's arbitrary selection of some and rejection of all others, predetermined by God before time began. No. It does not work that way. It never has worked that way.

Oh, it doesn't stop at just the wrong view of Children. The whole belief system of Calvinism is false, sneaky, subtle and leads many astray into cult like social club religious elitism.

@@faithonfireministries That I agree. I preach against calvinism too. But I didnt know they view children like that but it all makes sense because of their fatalistic view on salvation. Keep exposing them.

On the Children; the missing quality between the videos and the scripture in Matt 18 is the Posture of the child…. The human heart is deceitful above all things; who can know it? -Notice in that scripture, it doesn’t Qualify the Age of the heart in question, but instead is talking about the Posture of that heart…. People are Evil, of all ages, until the Holy Spirit moves them, or they choose something different.

Hey brother😊 would you mind doing me a favor...? That's a channel I watch and they're actually talking about false teachers and they have Justin Peters on their periodically saying some things about false teachers and what have you, anyway I was so confused as to why they're sitting there putting a false teacher on to describe false teachers... Anyway someone left a comment on my comment saying that Justin Peters is not a calvinist and so I went and looked it up and everywhere I'm looking it's saying he is not a calvinist and he is dating that he is not a calvinist.. I thought he was an admitted calvinist? Anyway I'm trying to find something that I could copy and paste to give to this person that left me a comment prove that he was a calvinist but I can't find it anywhere... Thank you in advance brother, I hope you're having a blessed day🌷 by the way if this has a bunch of errors and it just understand I just woke up lol

He prefers the term Reformed over Calvinist. It means the same thing. He goes to a Reformed Baptist church and has affirmed the 5 points of Calvinism (Doctrines of Grace) when he is preaching at churches and conferences that he is invited to teach at on topics such as God's Sovereignty or what makes a doctrinally sound church. First clue by the way are that those are almost always Calvinist churches with rare exception that invite him to speak.
However, when he does his "Clouds Without Water" series at churches, he usually does not go into the Calvinism doctrines but sticks with Cessationism (which is a doctrine invented by Calvinists by the way). That series he does is basically one big presentation against Charismatics with lots of video clips of outrageous moments or silly stuff some of the big name celebrity types have said or done that Justin tries to paint Charismatics as a whole of being like.
Another clue is that Justin is one of the most adamant and staunch supports of John MacArthur who is well known to be one of the top leading voices promoting 5 point Calvinism.
But he basically spells out his believing the doctrines of Calvinism on his website FAQ section. justinpeters.org/faqs/
One of his frequently asked questions is "Are you a Calvinist? Hmmm. I can only wonder why that is frequently asked. LOL.
He affirms Calvinism in the FAQ by how he answers the question while trying to distance himself from being called a Calvinist because of two main reasons. 1. He says most people don't understand Calvinism. 2. He says he is not a disciple of John Calvin, therefore not a Calvinist.
However, he does make these statements of belief in the answer I will copy and paste what he wrote here:
"But God, being rich in mercy (Ephesians 2:4-8), has chosen to save some. He is stretching out His arms and plucking some from their Hell-bound race, drawing them to Himself and saving them."
"God chose His elect by sovereign decree in eternity past"
"The Bible teaches both God’s sovereignty and man’s responsibility"
Those points of his belief is the Calvinist unconditional election doctrine and the last quote is affirming his belief in the Calvinist view known as "compatibilism" which is God did not intend nor provide a way of salvation for most sinners, and they have no ability to believe the Gospel and be saved, but because they are sinners they are still responsible for their sins and God is just to send them to hell. It's a nonsense argument that defies true justice of a Holy and righteous God who said in His Word that he hates unequal scales. Why would that same God have unequal scales of justice when it comes to the most important thing in the world with an eternal consequence?
For an example, in this personal testimony Justin did on the Polite Leader channel ruclips.net/video/bR6zq2qZsZY/видео.html&t he claims to have gone to seminary and then started in ministry preaching while not being saved but that he did finally get saved in 2011. At the 6 minute mark he clearly states that he once was against the "doctrines of grace" but that melted away which was one of the big changes that came over him that year in 2011. However, I think it simply means he got indoctrinated into Calvinism in 2011.
In any event, unlike most Christians, some Calvinists do tend to operate as stealth Calvinists. It is a tactic many of them use to avoid the labels or to avoid being transparent about their true beliefs in Calvinism because they know that will drive away most of the audience. They want to gain the trust first on other matters so when they slip in a hint here or there towards Calvinism it starts to bring the listener along with them more and more as a form of subtle indoctrination. So, they use coded terms that those trained in reformed theology and in those circles clearly understand but for most Christians it just sounds Biblical and the hidden meaning goes right over their head. For example, "sovereign saving grace" is code for the U in TULIP, unconditional election unto salvation. Never saying God or Jesus loves you or affirming that when speaking to an audience is another indirect clue. There are many other hints that reveal a stealth Calvinist in action.
