The way the Red talks to Ethan about being forgotten hits so much harder when you realize that Red is speaking from experience. He wants Ethan to have an easier time being forgotten than he did, and yet Ethan still refuses
Red was never as forgotten as Ethan. Red is still admired and I'm sure that every Trainer in the games know his name. Ethan on the other hand is not remembered by anybody. Even I forget him from time to time.
@ That’s somewhat my point, your right about Red not being nearly as forgotten as Ethan. However that’s because Red wanted to be. He went to Mt Silver (Supposedly) because no one gave him a challenge anymore and he just didn’t care. Red wasn’t forgotten cause of bad luck or whatever, he was forgotten because he wanted to be. Also I’m pretty sure Ethan would be much more revered as the only trainer who was able to beat Red lore wise(Until later Gens)
I’m not trying to argue, this is just my take on it.
And then Ethan went on to singing about being forgotten in Monochrome. That encounter with Red must've aged like fine wine

The beginning really reminds you that team rocket isn’t just this goofy team whose goals aren’t as evil as the other teams, but that they are criminals that would do anything for money
In Pokémon Adventure (in this case the manga) they try to kill Red several times, interestingly enough they already froze Red one of those times.

I love how Red is made out to be a warm, comforting embrace to death. He just wants to see Ethan move on painlessly.

Just realized a parallel between this and Monochrome.
In Monochrome, when referencing the games, Ethan starts at Gen 3, and goes on from there up to Gen 9. (Gen 5 in the OG)
Here, Red only mentions the Gen 1 and 2 games, filling out the missing gap.
I wonder how old this version of Red and Gold are if they can mention every generation?
They gotta be atleast 26yrs or even older for that to know.

Y’know this has got me thinking. Gold is the trainer who is by far the least concerned about death and yet this creepypasta is all people remember him for. I mean the guy has a Phoenix watching over him that’s capable of reviving 3 dogs that burnt to death, I’m sure Ho-Oh wouldn’t be too hassled to revive Gold.

Had the mod continued getting updates, I’d think there would be some otherworldly retribution from the Unown Corrupted Ethan(Gold)’s corpse and the player would be Petrel or Proton trying to escape from them and the corrupted corpses of Ariana, Archer, and Giovanni alongside Ethan(Gold), it still wouldn’t be a good ending, but Team Rocket would be gone.
Well uh the mod is getting an official continuation. Aka the devs decided they wanted to work on the mod again so they’re working on it again to finish what was originally planned for the update before they stopped and just released the cancelled build

I love how there is different audio tracks throughout the song! Ethan's voice is on the left audio track, and Red's voice is on the right audio track!! Amazing detail Juno!!
It’s kinda cool hearing Ethan voice slowly becoming Gold’s voice as the song progresses, you can hear his tone of voice kinda slipping in bit by bit until at the end it’s basically just like how he sounds in Monochrome.

Red and Monochrome Gold are similar. Ghosts, only existing to tell you to give up and die, you're doomed. Gold is more general with it, all rising stars will fall in time. But he also goes more motivated. From "That's life" to "But why is it life?". Red presumably died here, and doesnt think Ethan can survive where he died, so recommends Ethan stop and give up, to make his incoming death faster.

Well we have another Frostbite with Lyrics theme, I will admit this cover is such a true great job from your part, I really liked the starter context with like Neo Team Rocket kicking out of his way Gold and their Pokemon with a high fall in Mt. Silver when he might be going to face Red, then it could make Frostbite as a hallucination of Gold meanwhile he is losing his life because of the fall.
