Well you were probably using a wood blade. Use a wood/metal blade next time you have wood with fasteners in it. They also make strictly metal blades but that won’t cut through wood fast at all. Only different I believe is the size of the teeth.
Got one the first day they were in stock...now I wish I waited, Acme Tool had them on a special where you got the tool, charger, TWO batteries, and a Packout toolbag for 20 bucks more than the bare tool - can kick myself for not waiting now. It's nice - haven't got to use it for a proper job, but did play with it a little when I first got it - they come in handy when you gotta open up a wall to replace a leaking section of line-set.
I have a cheap corded one that will perform well with a good blade. Good blades make a world of difference with any cutting tool. Cool tool I can see why you like it !

Wish they kept the slow start like the brushed version now only the m18 fuel has it. Still love the new m12 but it’s kinda wild on plunge cuts unless you adjust speed.
I replaced an M12 brushed Multitool with the M12 Fuel and what a difference! It's faster, has quicker blade changes, LED light and has better vibration control. The old one was quieter, though
It’s almost as powerful as the m18 fuel honestly. I use both at work and I really like the m12 just wish it had selectable auto load setting and the bigger led like the m18. It’s definitely worth the 150$ and it’s been on sale with a free battery allot.
@@zack6892 we use all m18 at work. But I like my little m12 kit (drill and circular saw). I’d like to use the same batteries as well. I think I’m gonna get the 2426 though (no quick connection for blades). It’s half the price.
@@dumdiversaspapalbull1452 I wouldn’t buy that it tends to eventually mess up the batteries you use on it from all the vibration. It works pretty good at first but as it wears out a bit batteries will just vibrate off of it

@@spiffyspiferson1662 I bought package after package until one night when I couldnt get any in the middle of building a new kitchen floor. They're thin so it takes about 2 minutes to refurbish one. Just a few strokes and you don't have to worry about the kerf until many times.
I'm in the trade and can't go a day without using it. Cutting skirting board when it's on, cutting holes in plasterboard, cutting mastic out, raking out the grout of old tiles. Honestly you wonder to yourself how you coped without one

Maybe in the carpentry world its ok but ive seen electricians waste their time cutting out recepticle boxes in drywall, seen drywallers try to cut out around boots and return vents at a slow pace. Ive opened up plaster walls time and time again and a hammer or sawzall does the job just fine. They are obnoxiously loud for what they are. Again im not saying its useless but for most trades its not needed. In 12 years of construction ive never found myself in need of one.

Today for instance I was replacing a shower screen and there was some Ali trim mastic to the tiles that I needed to take 20mm off, usually you would have to peel it off the wall and then cut it and put it back but with this tool you can just cut it there on the wall

My wife hates it when I buy tools because they're expensive but I got to have them for work thats what helps me bring home the doe ya know!? I don't care though regardless if I need it I get it.
Something wrong with that mindset when the purchase is used to buy needed tools to put food on the table. I had an X who did the same thing and demanded I buy the cheapest tool out there. She didn't even work and all the bills were paid plus savings so eventually that mindset and constant arguments ended the marriage sadly. Her choice. Some of the tools I bought 20+ years ago that were professional tools are still on the job today although they are on their last leg. Stay strong and take pride in your tools and work and life will treat you well.

Not as much of a problem with the new one you can set it down running with an XC battery and it won’t fall over. Vibration isn’t even close to the brushed versions.
Get tge 12v dewalt is cuts faster and uses a trigger not a switch which I can't stand plus Dewalt is a American company Milwaukee is Chinese owned company
Those things are Garbage it went back to the store. Gave it to a 30+ years certified class A retired Mechanic to cut off a 1/2inch bolt. And it only dystroyed two blades and made some smoke from the blades.
Cutting oil may have helped. I'm not surprised that a 1/2 bolt killed two tiny blades. That's not really what these are designed for. It's only moving those teeth back and forth 4mm at a ridiculous cutting speed.

Right tool for the job, and this is not the right tool for cutting 2x4. Scraping old adhesive off surfaces? Can’t be beat, at least oscillating tools, not sure about the Milwaukee part.
