Jan ŽATECKÝ if a HIV positive person is on medication it is just like not having it. The medication is a suppressive that leads to it becoming inactive to the point it can no longer even be detected on tests and can not be passed on to anyone else. It only goes back to being dangerous if the medication is stopped
LGBTQHIV is the new acronym cos that community is the mascot of the disease.

He’s so strong 💪 honestly it takes ally of courage to be so open about having HIV and having the strength to speak about it, i am so inspired and I hope that everyone living with this diagnosis doesn’t feel ashamed it does not make you any less of a person, you are still you and who ever doesn’t think so they can go F themselves be strong and beautiful muah 💋

mayorbloomburg He’s undetectable. Meaning that he can’t pass over the HIV. So even if the partners didn’t know, they had 0% chance of getting infected.
a dank lord so he got hiv and was immediately undetectable? There was no time period that he could have spread HIV to someone else before he became undetectable?

Yes, there's a period when anyone who is HIV+ doesn't know they've got it, and can possibly transmit the virus to others. That doesn't make them evil and malicious. You heard the man - it's not 1990, and HIV isn't a death sentence anymore. Your own fear and hate are things you're going to have to deal with, because gay and non-binary people are NOT going away, which is what the *real* issue is for you, isn't it?
neuralmute he very well could be a terrible person. I don’t know him and I’m pretty sure you don’t either. We only know what he chooses to tell us and show us. We don’t know what he does in private. Also, yes I hate people but I don’t discriminate. I hate all people: both men and women.

thank you. my brother died due to complications with HIV a few years ago. More needs to be talked about. I will admit that 90's stigma still is around. It was hard for me to enter and be in the hospice care facility. I remember getting a sliver of wood in my hand from the wood railing and being upset. I look forward to reading his book
Your brother died because of HIV treatment and drugs..I'm sorry for your loss...
@@ravencassidy1979 no my brother died due to not taking his drugs. His death was preventable on his part but some go through denial until it is too late and then it goes to full blown AIDS. That is what i saw and dealt with.

@NOT YOU You may have negative perceptions on HIV and the LGBTQ community, which I understand is hard to shake, but Jonathan is a hero in my eyes because he is so unabashedly himself and insanely positive despite the negativity. He teaches a lesson that people can reach zen and peace with themselves despite hard circumstances, and then even have enough positivity to spread that to others. That's why JVN is a hero for me.

Got the audiobook for this. A lot of surprises. Well told stories. He is very funny and the darker topics are handled well. If you loved him on Gay of Thrones you will love his book.

I was a student nurse in the sixties and we had this giant rolladex called the kardex with all the patients’ personal information on them including their VD status IN RED so no one could miss it. Some nurses didn’t want to bathe these patients and all that.

If you're rich and you can afford hiv medication I'm sure life is well but that's not the case for most people
That’s the problem in health insurance of your country, where only rich people can get medical help and/or medicines.
... in the US. Other countries don't let their citizens die for the benefit of rich companies.
The HIV medication is free in my country. The problem is, having one is still a big deal that not all HIV+ take medications.
I love him. I love how extra he is. But I also don't love that people who aren't surrounded by a lot of gay people, think we are all like him. He is wonderful, but being gay doesn't mean we are all hyper animated and dress wearing, yadda yadda yadda. I wish he would talk about the variety of gay people. Queer eye shows a lot of that. Also, I know it's not his job to represent the entirety of the gay community. So. Yeah........ just some thoughts.
