Tan speaks about his family so fondly, it's really cute. A lot of people in the LGBTQ community sadly do that really talk about them or have a negative relationship with them. It's really heartwarming to see that his family is still very much a part of his life.

Ambroos Vaes similar to Tan, I grew up in the UK and then moved to the US. My accent is so minimal when I’m in the US but going home makes it almost as strong as it was when I lived there full time

He has said that he tones it down in the US because he has a hard time being understood with a strong UK accent.
I think when people with accents are around people with their same accent it becomes stronger. I follow someone who's Australian and by just listening to him speak you wouldn't know but one time his mom phoned him when he was on a livestream and after a minute or two he was talking with a pretty strong Australian accent

Amazing - I live in Manchester and it’s so special to see Tan talk so warmly about our city. It is the best place on Earth. Loved seeing him walk around the Village. I would love to see all the QE boys do a mini series in the UK 😊

I'm Aussie and went to live in Glasgow. It was so weird, the first proper sunny day when it got to mid-Spring and people were sunbathing in the Botanical Gardens, queuing down the street for an icecream lol.
Friends I had made turned up orange over night covered in fake tan. It was so strange haha.

How am I only just seeing this now 😯 Tan is SUCH a wonderful rep for the UK and his love for Manchester makes me so happy, I grew up near there and spent so many happy afternoons in Afflecks and on those same streets with my best friend! It's a city that holds such a special place in my heart ❤
As a teenager, from the middle of nowhere northern England, going to Manchester regularly and visiting Affleck's Palace - such a revelation - first time - 1984 - ooh that dates me a bit lol...and can't believe it was only it's second year open...

As someone British born but lived majority of my life in Canada (damn parents) I get how you feel about being back home in the UK. It’s the best place on earth in my opinion. The sea, country and city are so close. Love it and miss it everyday. Even the rain makes me happy when I’m there. There is a certain smell when it rains that you don’t get in Canada. Fish and Chips is a staple when I’m home. Crap in Canada amazing in Newcastle. Proud to be British !
You may need to get out and see more of Canada, lol. It is beautiful, and has so much to offer.. Lucky, you are from TWO wonderful nations :)

As a manc I love the passion that he talks about my city with. People don’t come to Manchester enough, it’s an amazing and interesting place, and I can see how much he gets it.
My grandparents live in Manchester and even though I live waaaay down south I get to visit often. Its such a lovely city with so much pride and community that I have missed out on a little but always see when I go back to visit.
Such a genuinely lovely person. He is so quick to smile and laugh, and his smile lights his face.
