  • RABBIT STALKING WITH THE .17HMR.
What started out as a Foxing mission, soon turned round to become a great night on the Rabbits. Stalking quietly with one Titanium Hip, and one worn out Hip.

      Ha Ha !!
I saw her when I was in hospital two weeks ago and said “Hello Sheila”
That caused a stir because all the staff didn’t understand what I meant 🤣
And why did she say “G’day Bruce”
      😀😀😀

Well, that was a productive hunt, David. I admit I had to pause in the middle to look at the difference between a rabbit and a hare, but I appreciate that educational aspect to your videos. I'm always happy to learn about our natural world. I applaud your endurance getting around so much on your worn-out hip, and I wish you all the best in getting that fixed soon. Jim

      Jim,
It makes it so worthwhile doing a video that gets positive feedback like yours👍
Thanks matey and Happy Birthday from us all here ❤️👊

Thanks for telling that this video up about to be aired. Great shooting David,... that's a bountiful 'harvest' you end up with to be sure.
The land owner must have been pleased with this tally.

Hello chum. I’m not sure about that, my right hip and knee are really bad at the moment, probably worse now than my left ever were.
Hopefully I’ll have a timescale for Hip 2 by the end of the month. Steroid injection this Wednesday 👍👍👍

Thanks, great video and shooting off of sticks btw. I'm gleaning info off videos as I'm looking at a hik micro scope for those rabbits that are red light sensitive . I already having a fh35 spotter.

An enjoyable video Dave i thought you were waiting for a 2 for 1 shot at the end 😂. The hmr certainly does the job well. Im still waiting to hear about mine.

Hi Jim, I think the one at the back picked up a bit of flack from the first shot , as he looked a little dazed.
      Thanks for watching matey 👍

Nice hunt. Were you able to recover the carcasses for eating or were they too badly mangled?

I've read frequently that the .17 HMR deposits a lot in the barrel and if you dont want the groups to open up then one ought to chemically clean the barrel every 50 or so shots, how is your experience with this?

Great shooting. You probably get asked loads of times, but what's the scope? Hik Stellar - model or sensor size please as looking for new thermal for my 17hummer

I do, and don’t mind repeating myself.
It’s the SQ50 Pro. In easy speak, the one with the highest pixel count.
If you can stretch to getting the higher resolution model of any thermal sensor, it’s well worth it.

@@predatorprotectionuk thanks. How is the battery life, realistically as It’s an internal with extra hour cr123?

I hear that Dulux have a channel all about their products, you’d get a lot of enjoyment from that.
Always nice to get messages from top shots, but funny how they don’t take me up on the offer to come out and show us how to do it properly
