Now fast forward to Return to Sabody, when Nami was confronted by the fake straw hats, she kept her cool and ignored them. She learned from Luffy
I also liked Blackbeard in Impel Down, where he talks about destiny. After facing Magellan he says ''you do what you have to do and you die only if it is your destiny'', that is the definition of ''fearlessness''
It's so strange how Blackbeard gives a speech on the importance of dreams, and Luffy, who champions this idea throughout the story and always smiles at this kind of talk, instead just stares right through Teach. It's so ironic that when we first saw blackbeard we thought blackbeard was good guy and when we saw whitebeard we thought he was a bad guy. But we were all wrong.

This may be a reach, but I love how height is used between Luffy and Blackbeard. In the bar, Blackbeard is literally looking down on Luffy whereas Luffy is looking up. But then at Blackbeards speech you can see that when he sat down their eyes meet at the same height. They both respect each other and share the same ideals. He doesn't talk down on Luffy, but rather sees him as an equal pirate. And later on , after Blackbeards actions, when they meet again in Impel Down we have that panel of Blackbeard towering over Luffy looking down on him, as he got stronger and turned into Luffys biggest enemy. So yeah, maybe a reach, but maybe not. You never know with Oda
Blackbeard actually being 3 brothers is also a perfect mirror for Luffy. Blackbeard has 2 blood brothers, whereas Luffy has 2 "adopted" brothers. Luffy and his brothers have been separated during their travels. Blackbeard and his brothers, on the other hand, have been together (literally, after he ate the devil fruit)
I love how the bounties are brought to the focus in this arc as well. Luffy lives for a bigger bounty. His infamy is arguably a sign of his progression in his goal. But not Blackbeard. He sees other people’s bounties as how they can be used for his goals, but has no bounty himself. He doesn’t even get a bounty until his goal requires him to perform infamous acts. Until he’s practically a yonkou in his own right.
Blackbeard is Luffy without Shanks, Garp, Ace, Sabo, Makino, Dadan etc. to show him what true freedom is. His role models and morals were there before he joined Whitebeard’s crew. Remember Luffy would rather die than be alone, Blackbeard was probably used to being alone.

Do you know what occurred to me? > Will: No. > Sean: You're just a kid, you don't have the faintest idea what you're talkin' about. Luffy is ready to defend himself against someone who has insulted his dreams. But then, as Luffy listens to the guy explain himself, it occurs to Luffy what kind of life this man must be living. This is a guy who genuinely believes that dreams are worthless, that putting your life at risk for your ambitions is a waste. How miserable must that be? This man will never experience the unparalleled joy of getting that one step closer to your goal, or reminisce about the crazy things you've experienced in your journey to get there. This man, who has never even experienced the kind of "dreams" he's denouncing, is trying to call them worthless. What possible satisfaction could you get from beating him up? It's also a show of how much Luffy has learned from Shanks since he was a kid, when Higura, the bandit made fun of Shanks, Shanks didn't care, but Luffy made a big deal, here we see Luffy take Shanks' role while Zoro follows Luffy's lead and Nami takes Luffy's role
As a man, who has a dream which everyone says is, for someone like me is not achievable , and those who know what my "dream" is only knows a small fraction of it, this scene/moment in One Piece has touched me the most and still does till now. Pretty amazing video. This is one of my favorite One Piece scenes, for sure. This, coupled with Bellamy's takedown later, is just a fantastic series of events that set up way more things than I could ever thought possible.
It was also a very bold choice on Oda's part to give such a series defining speech to one of the biggest villains. Also the part about BB not sleeping made me think about the narcolepsy that's characteristic of so many of the D clan. Another difference between him and every other D.
During Luffy’s battle with Katakuri, he had a flashback to when Rayleigh was training him and asked Luffy how does he plan on beating various haki masters in the new world to which he replied, “Depends on what kind of a person they are.” This way of thinking goes hand in hand with Luffy not giving the time of his day to Bellamy in Mocktown. Oda is goated fr!
I loved that you picked that moment in Jaya. It is on of my favorite moments in the whole series when Luffy and Zoro tell Nami "it's them". Most people tend to forget about that ending of the boardwalk scene. Which has huge implication for the entire future of OP
Such a deep and great video. You perfectly pointed everything out. Its really impressive how Goda made perfect villain that you simple cannot hate, and the weirdest thing of all is that he had such a limited time in story so far,but still is one of the greatest villains ever.

Wonderful video as always Ohara! or tho, you might've had a tad fun making it xD Let me know if you (the reader) want to talk deeper with me down below.
This part and the whole jaya arc was brilliant, might be one of my favourite arcs. Glad that this was covered too. So much stuff happened in that one scene alone. I really want to read it again.
This is the most importers scene in OP for me, OP is about dreams. And here we see the 2 most imported people in the story talking about it. This scene made BB great and showed how dreams are impotent! ZEHAHAHAH
Will this series only include moments that've been animated already? Cuz I feel like something that could make an amazing vid would be the "Born to Boil" Scene. It also feels like it doesn't get talked about much anymore. Love the vids btw!

also what the hell is luffy looking at. I feel like oda mad him stare down blackbeard because luffy is seeing something we can't see yet
@@DINO-hr3wb luffy probably saw him as a very respectable person on the likes of Ace and Shanks, someone who can overcome and achieve their dreams. Little did he know Blackbeard was searching for luffy in order to kidnap him
@@pepperonicheesecake1656 idk its just the fact that zoro said 'its them" at the end is why I kind of have a theory that luffy was looking at something different
Blackbeards speech might beiconic, but the one hit KO on Bellamy is one of the most satisfying scenes in all of One Piece
I don't know if this is just me but luffy at least from what I remember never killed one of his enimes ( I mean a main enemy like crocodile or hordy) but instead beats the dream out of them making them have no point to fight but for belemy he beat a dream into him because he felt pitty
Bellamy : "Pirates dreams are over!!!
*Doffy has entered the chat*
BB doesnt sleep, so he doesnt even have dreams. thats very deep. BB dream is to have a dream
The first bird that auger shot down when the straw hat’s were otw to log-town was insane, it shows just how far ahead he was from usopp at the time. A whole different level. The bird that just randomly died at the begging of that episode was so far away 🤯🤯🤯
new chapter,, it could be the effect of Auger devil fruit power,, the warp warp fruit
Actually Black Beard talking about dreams never dying is my favorite scene of ALL time
Just want to say I love love love love love the freaking crap out of your content and am so glad i found your channel you are so awesome and well spoken and well thought 💭 love it man keep it up
Holy shit! Thanks man, really happy to hear you enjoy it!
The best voice I have ever heard... You're Morgan freeman of RUclips...
14:01 this keeps reminding me that they are all very tall (even doc Q without his horse) compaird to the shockd pirate infront of auger
Amazing work of analysis here!
No wonder why this scene is iconic for me, and many other!
I think when bellamy pirates mock his dream, he isnt see them as equal(pirates) anymore. He see them just a townspeople mocking his dream.
14:40-14:45
Do my eyes deceive me or do I think I know what Doffy's eyes look like under those shades?
Yea red neon eyes
I love these scene breakdowns. Great Video
Pretty amazing video. This is one of my favorite One Piece scenes, for sure. This, coupled with Bellamy's takedown later, is just a fantastic series of events that set up way more things than I could ever thought possible.
It’s crazy how underrated creativity is these days but great video my g.
This is so relatable for me especially in the times we are in right now.
*This is my era!*
omg, you know how to create expectation and cause chills, man, great vid
This is a fantastic series Ohara! You made me appreciate these scenes so much more, looking forward to your other videos.
Ohara is making some of the best One Piece content OUT HERE
Thank you for putting into words what I felt about my favorite scene in One Piece. Amazing work.
It was also a very bold choice on Oda's part to give such a series defining speech to one of the biggest villains.
Also the part about BB not sleeping made me think about the narcolepsy that's characteristic of so many of the D clan. Another difference between him and every other D.
Where luffy, ace and garp falls a sleep when eating or fighting. Teach never sleep.
I hope one of these days you can revise Dr. Hiriluk last words. " I man dies when he is forgotten"
I'm so glad you covered this scene. when I think of great One Piece moments, this is one of the first to come to my head.
Such a deep and great video. You perfectly pointed everything out. Its really impressive how Goda made perfect villain that you simple cannot hate, and the weirdest thing of all is that he had such a limited time in story so far,but still is one of the greatest villains ever.
I dont normally like or comment on videos but your work, overall is great, on this topic is sheer gold. Keep it up man! Look forward to your next video.
Thank you very much!
Brilliant series for a brilliant show, this is probably my most re-visited One Piece moment of all time.
deine videos sind echt der hammer. kann sie mir immer und immer weider angucken und hab dabei kein gefühl zeit zu verschwenden. :)
I was already a big fan of your videos but damn do i love these scene analysis videos!
HUGE thanks for making them man can't to see the next one!
A foil! I love that word. I think I knew it but it never clicked before now. I've always been calling villains who mirror the hero but for one major difference Negaducks.
What about his laughter which is the best thing about his character "zehahahahahahahaha"
Upvote for providing the specific chapters and episodes, great video!
amazing analysis as always
Seu canal é incrivel! Sou um grande fã de One Piece e seu conteúdo é sensacional!
O'Hara has always been an underrated channel. I really hope this series catapults him into where he should be.
Beautiful. This is awesome. Great outlook.
Just found your channel and I already deeply love this series TM
I really like these videos, while a bunch of RUclipsrs focus on grand themes and everything. Your individual character focus on how each characters speech, like this one, or Robin's "I want to Live!" Really puts them into perspective on why this show is great.
End of the video: Thank guys, peace!
Me: One Piece
Another fantastic video Ahara keep up the good content cant wait for the next one
Your start and humor is amazing man!!!!
I'm a man of dreams myself, but all of the dreams has been denied to me.
Right now, I'm biding my time and I've set some more realistic goals in life for now, while I support others in their dreams!
Wonderful video as always Ohara! or tho, you might've had a tad fun making it xD
Let me know if you (the reader) want to talk deeper with me down below.
What a power move to have Blackbeard and Luffy's first fight be over some fucking food.
This part and the whole jaya arc was brilliant, might be one of my favourite arcs. Glad that this was covered too. So much stuff happened in that one scene alone. I really want to read it again.
The begining of the video was just what I needed 👍 Thank you @Ohara
Lmao 😂
This is the most importers scene in OP for me, OP is about dreams. And here we see the 2 most imported people in the story talking about it. This scene made BB great and showed how dreams are impotent! ZEHAHAHAH
Why do I feel like Blackbeard will have a heartbreaking backstory?
No
heartbreaking story of being in a ship without the sort of dream he likes
solid video dude!
Im loving this series, cant wait to see more
Will this series only include moments that've been animated already? Cuz I feel like something that could make an amazing vid would be the "Born to Boil" Scene. It also feels like it doesn't get talked about much anymore. Love the vids btw!
it's great moment too but imagine how it gonna be in the anime
the mainstream one piece tubers aren't going to talk about that because god forbid you spoil the anime only army with the titles and thumbnails
The "trademarc" at 2:43 😂😂
Love these videos don't stop
🐐 as always
Every time he says dream i want to tag Dream in it...
Omg Luffy looks exactly like Gol D Roger at 15:24‼️
Great video. Editing is on point even more so than most of your videos.
Bruh, I just have to say.... your analysis videos are💯💯💯 Never stop making them, the purity that you break down in Oda's genius and somewhat complexly deep writing is phenomenal and will forever have me a fan of your channel..... I think most of your corny joke sare hilarious too, keep it up!!😂👌🏾
