I love to see airline employees using their benefits. I don't understand why some people don't travel! This year we did Italy. Next year hopefully Australia and Japan. Besides all the weekend trips. Keep it up! Love your videos!
Thank you so much! I agree with you. It’s like why work for the airlines if you’re not going to use the benefits? Your travel destinations sound amazing.
While you’re in London, the Mughal Indian restaurant on Praed Street ,off Paddington Station is pretty decent. Rules Restaurant on Maiden Lane , 2 blocks from the Covent Garden tube stop,is also good. There may be a Porter’s English restaurant near there ,no longer certain if it’s still in operation. Various tasty meat pie’s and sausages were served there.
Thank you so much for the suggestions. I definitely need those recommendations. The food we ate there was not the best.🫠🫠 but in other news, I absolutely love London. Literally one of my favorite places in the entire world.
@@TheBohemianTraveler They usually sell meat and lamb pasties at the Covent Garden Tube Stop. I love London too. The Fabric discotheque is awesome. I have family in Dublin and Cork.
@@TheBohemianTraveler When you’re in Amsterdam, I suggest trying LaMadonina Italian restaurant on the Rembrandtplein . The Roode Leeuw on Damrak serves good Dutch cuisine. The Vijff Vlieghen on Spuistraat is another for continental Dutch Cuisine. Sarang Mas Indonesian,if still operating ,is on Rokin. Another Indonesian restaurant on Spuistraat is Kantijl en de Tiger.Enjoy!
What’s your home airport? I get a little nervous at times. But I’m like a scientist/mathematician!🤣 I figure out all my options and my back ups. Tomorrow we are leaving on a family vacation and I’m trying to figure out all the different options we have available. Hopefully you have multiple options near your home. First flight of the day is a good bet.
Everyone’s foot is different. But I wear Dansko‘s. I also put insoles for support. And I try not to stand in one place for too long. I try to move my feet a lot so that I don’t get foot problems. Congratulations on your position.
Hello so glad you're back love the content, waiting on a seasonal position in Maryland. PT by day part time, I look every week. My husband and my son would love the benefits, I always wanted to work in the airport. Welcome back.
Thank you so much! Yes, they would absolutely love the benefits. I know you would as well. Keep looking! It is definitely worth it. It will work so well with your PT job.
I'm going to start with a American Airlines in customer service what's the difference between Delta and American Airline with the flight benefits & international flight.
Congratulations! Both are essentially the same. Both have great flight benefits. The only difference is American goes according to check in time versus Delta goes according to seniority. So when you know you’re going to fly, make sure you check in 24 hours in advance on the dot. And that puts you at the top of the list.
Thank you, Eloy! We are good. The kids go on spring break next week so we have to figure out what we’re gonna do. How’s your family? How have you been?
@@eloysanchez8991 i’m not back at the airport yet. But I’ve been working a few days a month at the hospital. I may go back in May or June for the seasonal position.
once again, I luv your videos. They are so informative. my biggest question is if i want to fly to Europe or asia or even cross country and get lucky standby on my first leg, do i automatically get the seat to london as in your case or is that another standby? i don't mind doing layovers so long as i already have a ticket for the next flight because i like to enjoy the centurion, chase, capital one etc lounges.
Thank you so much! So it’s not guaranteed. You standby for each flight. Since I live in LA I try to do a lot of direct flights. But generally international flights don’t fluctuate at the last minute, so you pretty much know your status. Obviously if irregular operations occur or a flight gets canceled or something like that, then the numbers will change drastically.
@TheBohemianTraveler ok, now I see how the majors who have flights from lax to Europe are the ones to work for. the one I may join has connecting flights mostly new york or Boston to Europe. so I guess, the biggest hurdle is not just getting from lax to NY, bit the critical ny to london Paris or Amsterdam etc. so I guess, if I don't make it to Europe my backup plan should be to hand out in NYC for a day or two hoping to get back to lax. this seems so nerve racking that I almost don't care about working fir an airlines. feels safer to just have tickets and enjoy the lounges.
@TheBohemianTraveler is there a way to get a seat early on standby so that I can enjoy the lounges or is standby all last minutes say 20 minutes before boarding. if so, I may not have time to enjoy my lounges bc centurion lounge is so far to walk to the gates.
Thanks!! For the great advice. When you say you worked for a contract airline, can you tell us what that means? I’ve applied for a 3rd party company, and want to know how they differ from airlines.
Yes! It’s when I worked for United ground express and Skywest. They were contracted to do the United Airlines flights. So I was not a United employee. You make less money and have less perks. My next video will explain everything about it.
you are living the dream. I plan to do the same thing but get authentic fish and chips and shepherds pie one day. thanks for the inspiration. i start jb soon unless something opens up in my hometown.
