i absolutely loved powerless but reckless fell flat for me!! it just was too much trope-y romance and not enough plot. also so excited to see that you enjoyed POYW!! i enjoyed that book immensely and i think you'll enjoy the rest of this series 🥰
I love the Part of Your World Series!! I read books 2 and 3 in July and loved them both (especially Just For the Summer) 😍 My other favorite book I read in July was The Things We Cannot Say!

The House Across the Lake was my first Riley Sager and the ending annoyed me so much I don't see myself wanting to read any more. Not only was it random and outlandish, but how everyone just accepted that explanation without question was just dumb. I agree with you about the first half of the book being very readable and kept you guessing. It was well written in the beginning. Such a let down.
It’s definitely my least favourite from him ~ I think part of why I was so taken aback is because most of his others aren’t like that so if you liked the first half I would recommend checking out some of his other books!
