Katie I have a feeling you are going to love A Winter’s Promise! It is so beautiful and unlike anything else I’ve ever read. If you feel like picking it up before winter I would say do it! It doesn’t have much to do with the winter season.
ah i'm so excited to get to it!! i feel like i just keep hearing amazing things about it, but good to know that i could pick it up before winter! i think i'm aiming to pick it up in early december!!
Great to see that your number went down from last year and reading the books on your shelves. When it comes to reading you have to be in the mood to read certain books. Can't wait for Fall and already have a few books that I want to get to this season. Hoping to find some 5 stars. Happy reading!
I love the fairy lights! If you want to read your entire physical TBR, then I wish you luck. It looks like you’ll be able to do it sooner rather than later. For myself - last count I had about 1100 of the books that I own on my physical TBR. It makes me happy to see them and I love feeling like I have my own personal library that I can shop. I’ve never had any desire to have read my entire physical TBR, because I never want to even get close to running out of books. If Covid taught me nothing else, it taught me that there may be times when libraries and bookstores are closed. Not having a huge amount of books would make my anxiety disorder go HAYWIRE.
A watcher from Finland here! I gasped when I saw that you had The Moonday Letters in your shelf! Emmi Itäranta is a Finnish author, and I’m so happy you have something Finnish on your shelf haha
Malice is so good! I found it a little slow to start because of all the world building, but it was a 5 star for me. I'm currently reading the second book Valor, and I'm loving the series.
I read The Moonstone in my Victorian Gothic course in college. We literally started discussing the book before the professor got there and she could hear how excited we were down the hall. It’s sooo good!!
Katie, if you feel like reading some of your classic TBRs, you would breeze through The Lottery. The Metamorphosis is quick read also. Both are pretty thought provoking, but The Lottery is better imo. Thanks for sharing as always 😊
I love watching those kind of videos! Half of your "very soon" tbr is on my tbr too, so I can't wait to see what you think to decide on what to prioritize. On your fall an winter tbr I think you'll love Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights and I want to read Lestat and Spinning silver too. And I have to recommend you read Anna Karenina, it's one my favorite books! Not an easy read, but if you read a chapter a day while reading another lighter book, you'll see how it's worth it!
Honestly, 64 is pretty good! You have read the majority of the books you own so I consider that a huge win. I have a lot less books than you but I admittedly haven’t read the majority of what I do own. Slowly working on it though!
Katie, you should read The Hound of the Baskervilles this fall! It's one of the best Sherlock Holmes stories and reads almost like a modern mystery, it doesn't feel like a classic at all. I think you'd enjoy it a lot!
i desperately want to get to the hound of the baskervilles honestly!! your comment makes me even more excited about it though! i'm hoping to pick it up this fall :)
I love the bookshelves. I need to start reading books that have been on my TBR for a long time. I know I have over 100 books on my physical tbr. Thanks for making this video. I need to look through mine and make a fall TBR
Wow ! I have just counted mine and I have 62 + the two I'm currently reading = 64 too ! I also wanted to bring my physical TBR down to 50 this year. I started in January with 74 books. I'm not sure I will manage because fall is the big release seasons and I will probably buy too many books in September/October. A Winter's Promise and Spinning Silver are perfect winter reads ! I loved The Left Hand of Darkness ! And Robin Hobb is my favorite, always !
I squealed with delight when I saw “The Vampire Lestat.” One of my favorite books! I read it in high school, it’s arguably the best book in Anne Rice’s series. Long live the vampire fandom!
I don’t know the english name of the blue book you keep for this winter by Christelle Dabos , but you will LOVE it. And the second one of this saga is the best of all !
Okay but enthusiastically reading + annotating the first ten pages of a classic just to never touch it again is so relatable😭 My copy of a tale of two cities is read and annotated in the first half and then I never continued. It's been three years but I am holding onto my delusion that I'll eventually finish it.
Can't wait to hear what you think about Guards! Guards! and the other Discworld novels on your TBR. Discworld isn't talked about nearly enough on Booktube. It's my favourite series at the moment. Also, I have read book one and two of the Shady Hollow series this summer and I think they're fine, nothing special, but I'm excited to hear your opinion!!
I personally think you should keep reading the powerless trilogy. I just finished powerful and I gave it 4.5 stars. I haven’t read any of the other books yet other than powerless but I am super excited
i really loved powerful and it was a really quick and easy i think reckless is a casual read not incredibly compelling but it was fun idk if there was much plot but vibes kind of there
My thoughts on reckless: I really loved powerless but I think my favorite is reckless (It was just soooo goood). It is definitly different than powerless (because obviously we arent following our main characters during the trials because theyre over) but I still really loved it. As for powerful, I did the tandem read (with powerless) so i´m not sure how it will be after reading powerless, since it does spoil the book because it takes place during powerless, but with all that in mind, I did absoultly love powerful and am so happy that I read that too. It isn't really important to the story but it is a really sweet little book
Katie, read the damn books! Here is me holding you accountable! I love the small spaces series too! I just read the second book in the Clackity series!
I just finished Dreams of Gods and Monsters and ooooo the serotonin I got from finishing a series 👌 unmatched. Would love to hear your thoughts on the whole series once you’re done.
Powerful has been my favourite in the powerless series! I would hihgly recommend I think the writing is better and it made me gigle and kick my feet in the air a bunch hahahah Otherwise I think the series is quite hit or miss and mostly just for fun, not to be taken seriously.
🪁🦇⚰️If you find yourself needing a quick engaging “spooky” read for a vlog this fall take down your gorgeous copy of From the Dust Reurned. Addams familyish with just a hint of the Munsters. Lots of coffins in the basement too 😁
ah i need to read it so bad! i loved the musters tv show when i was younger so that makes me excited haha, i'm now making it my mission to read it this october🫡 🫡 🫡
Your doubts on continueing the Powerless series is valid. Powerful focuses on Adenas journey while Payden is in the trials. If you liked her charater, it deffinenty is worth reading the 200 ish pages, since it makes her more memorable. For Reckless I would say you should only continue the series if you really like the characters of this series. Reckless is deffinenty a "filler" book, to create deeper meaning of Payden, Kai and Kitts characters. Very fun, chaotic and banter filled. You really should not continue the series if you dont particually love the characters or is interested in the outcome of the series. Love your videos ❤
Powerful was a 2 star for me and reckless was 3 😅 I really enjoyed powerless but reckless just feels like it suffers from middle book syndrome as nothing really happens the whole book! I will still probably read the third book when it comes out though as I’m curious how it will all end
Hi Katie! I'm Calista from KOLSup. I've been following your book reviews and literary insights-they're really insightful! 😊 Have you ever thought about having your own website?
Have you read Legacy Witches by Cass Kay I hope to this Fall! I am really looking forward to witchy, Haunting ghost books, and cozy mystery books this Fall. My list is so long 🤦♀️
My thoughts on Powerful by Lauren Roberts- I gave it a 2 star. It was very fun and insta lovey in the beginning. However, what I wanted from the book was answers about a character's death and to see Adena making all of the dresses for the balls in the first book. Well, I never got answers, and the dresses were only briefly touched upon. The main focus of this is the romance. It's a setup novella introducing a character that I think will be very important, but I found it mostly pointless. Maybe if the new character plays a big part, it will be worth reading.
I think cytonic comes before the novellas in the skyward series. That's the way I read it anyway and I adored that series but Cytonic was my least favourite. I have over 200 books on my physical tar and I'm going to a book event next month where I have preordered way more. I get exited easily by books
Hooray for getting back into Discworld. What do you mean why do you need Tale of Two Cities?! ... oh wait, you said you have another copy, never mind. You're the second authortuber this week I've seen with Vampire Lestat on their TBR. So I guess Anne Rice could be cycling back around as a trend. ROFLMAO ...... Wuthering Heights Twilight tie-in. If whatever you wrote matched your energetic personality, I would be the first in line to read it even if it was a flaming mess. I think we have fun here.
honestly i really tried to like powerless but i just didnt :( it was so hyped and all we got was banter that was kind of giving 12 year olds?! no hate to anyone who loves it tho. anyways id recommend reading powerful cuz i did enjoy it a lot but i read half of reckless but it was just meh
Katie, Katie, Katie. You are seriously not helping my case, I'd just finished telling my sister that " Katie is one of the few booktubers that I know that actually read their TBR " 😭 and then you drop this video, 63 books ahhh 😅😅😅 . BTW I love love, your videos 💜💜💜
Katie I have a feeling you are going to love A Winter’s Promise! It is so beautiful and unlike anything else I’ve ever read. If you feel like picking it up before winter I would say do it! It doesn’t have much to do with the winter season.
It’s such a wonderful, imaginative book!
I know I learned about this book on booktube so I won’t say it’s not popular but I truly wish this series got more hype! It’s one of my favorites!!
Yes! It is one of my favorite series! I dont understand why it doesnt get any hype 🥲
ah i'm so excited to get to it!! i feel like i just keep hearing amazing things about it, but good to know that i could pick it up before winter! i think i'm aiming to pick it up in early december!!
Please suggest me any good book to start with. I am starting reading in my life first time so I want something self help kind off
Video ideas: Read it or unhaul it. Those you won't re-read, maybe read on Kindle or do a mail trade of books you want to read but don't want to buy.
Powerful was probably the best out of the series, it really focused more on the love story than the fantasy aspect!!
Can you also film a room tour (if you're comfortable with that ofc!)!! Your style is so aesthetic and your room looks super cozy 💜💜
I have several hundred books on my shelves that I haven’t read…. So 64 is amazing to me. Lol. You did great!
The Pratchett Audiobooks are works of art. Stephen Briggs and Nigel Planer have read me to sleep nearly every night for a decade.
You have such a great selection of books Katie ✨️📖
Great to see that your number went down from last year and reading the books on your shelves. When it comes to reading you have to be in the mood to read certain books. Can't wait for Fall and already have a few books that I want to get to this season. Hoping to find some 5 stars. Happy reading!
i'm glad my number went down from last year too lmao😭 but i also can't wait for fall, i hope you find some 5 stars as well!!
Malice is SO good!! I am reading book 3, Ruin, as we speak, and I cannot put the series down! Highly recommend!!!
so glad you're loving it! i can't wait to be back in a high fantasy mood so i can pick it up!!
Girl powerless/powerful/reckless is so good! Such fun quick reads
I love these types of videos so much! Also love how your bookshelves look so much, they’re so pretty!
thank you!!🥺
I read The Moonstone in my Victorian Gothic course in college. We literally started discussing the book before the professor got there and she could hear how excited we were down the hall. It’s sooo good!!
powerful was really good and reckless was also really good! they are worth the read! they are 3 stars to me they are worth at least finishing!
I love these videos❤ it's amazing to see how low the number can get and where you are with reading ❤ thanks for sharing Katie ❤
Yess!! I was just looking for something to watch, and I love these videos as well as your videos! :)❤
I loved seeing all the books on your physics TBR! Your bookshelves are STUNNING!
thank you!!!!!
Katie, if you feel like reading some of your classic TBRs, you would breeze through The Lottery. The Metamorphosis is quick read also. Both are pretty thought provoking, but The Lottery is better imo. Thanks for sharing as always 😊
I think you'll really like The Sword of Kaigen! It's up there with Brando Sando for me.
These kinds of vids are sm fun! Happy reading❤
I recommend the Discworld series so so much

You get to read Spinning Silver for the first time!!! I'm so excited for you 😊
Where the Dark Stands Still is sooo good! But I totally get fall vibes from it, so maybe wait a little bit to get back into it!
ooh good to know it kind of has fall vibes!! maybe i'll pick it up this fall then!!
Katie, you should read The Hound of the Baskervilles this fall! It's one of the best Sherlock Holmes stories and reads almost like a modern mystery, it doesn't feel like a classic at all. I think you'd enjoy it a lot!

@@katieisreading aaaa hope it wont disappoint!!
I love the bookshelves. I need to start reading books that have been on my TBR for a long time. I know I have over 100 books on my physical tbr. Thanks for making this video. I need to look through mine and make a fall TBR
good luck with you tbr!!
@@katieisreading thanks so much!
Jane eyre is one of my favourite classics ever alongside little women ❤
Ahhh can't wait to see the videos of u reading theseeeee
Wow ! I have just counted mine and I have 62 + the two I'm currently reading = 64 too ! I also wanted to bring my physical TBR down to 50 this year. I started in January with 74 books. A Winter's Promise and Spinning Silver are perfect winter reads ! I loved The Left Hand of Darkness !
And Robin Hobb is my favorite, always !
I would really recommend reading powerful, even if you don’t want to read the whole series. It is so beautiful and kinda broke my heart
I’m so impressed with your tbr! I don’t dare to count mine 😂 Thank you for prioritising Mina and the Undead! I hope you enjoy it.
the queen is back !!🛐
I squealed with delight when I saw “The Vampire Lestat.” One of my favorite books! I read it in high school, it’s arguably the best book in Anne Rice’s series. Long live the vampire fandom!
ooh that is high praise!! so glad you love it so much, i can't wait to get to it and see what i think!!
I will say that ship of magic is obviously about ships so it's fun to read in the summer to feel like you're also on the high seas!
The Left Hand of Darkness is SO GOOD! I would love to hear your thoughts on it!
Your videos are perfect ✨
I don’t know the english name of the blue book you keep for this winter by Christelle Dabos , but you will LOVE it. And the second one of this saga is the best of all !
Omg just came here to say that the background of your video is stunning 😍
A fall adjacent video tease?!?! Ugh cannot wait 🎉
;))))))
Ray Bradbury has been one of my favorites for a long time. I rarely shelve books before I read them. They have to earn that right.
Okay but enthusiastically reading + annotating the first ten pages of a classic just to never touch it again is so relatable😭
My copy of a tale of two cities is read and annotated in the first half and then I never continued. It's been three years but I am holding onto my delusion that I'll eventually finish it.

I'm reading the Thursday murder Club right now and it is so funny to read. Such a good book. I just love it😍
i really loved powerful and it was a really quick and easy i think reckless is a casual read not incredibly compelling but it was fun idk if there was much plot but vibes kind of there
I was missing the queen 💌
My thoughts on reckless:

“it’s getting better” we all say in unison
Katie, read the damn books! Here is me holding you accountable! I love the small spaces series too! I just read the second book in the Clackity series!
I just finished Dreams of Gods and Monsters and ooooo the serotonin I got from finishing a series 👌 unmatched. Would love to hear your thoughts on the whole series once you’re done.
I loved this video! I’m always trying to reduce my physical tbr. I’m not below 100 yet so I think your number is great!
Spinning Sliver by Naomi Novik would be a great winter book! I great/amazing/fantastic book! Currently reading Royal Assassin myself
Really enjoyed this! I recently counted, and I'm just under 100 on my physical TBR. I'm working on it 😅
hey under three digits is a win in my book ;))
I bought Modern Divination because I saw it in your video, when you got it. It has its flaws but I loved it😂❤
I am the exact same when it comes to classics 😅 they are just too pretty but I definitely don't read them enough to warrant it
I was doing pretty good towards my goal of reading 50% of the books I own - but....then I bought a LOT more books this year
I disliked Tale of Two Cities for the first couple of chapters until I got into the prose. But then it ended up being one of my favorites by the end!
I just got my tickets for Coraline 3D! Love your earrings
Powerful has been my favourite in the powerless series! I would hihgly recommend I think the writing is better and it made me gigle and kick my feet in the air a bunch hahahah Otherwise I think the series is quite hit or miss and mostly just for fun, not to be taken seriously.
Love this! You ended up with a great number of books. I’m scared to do this because I feel like I’ll have 100+ books on my physical TBR 😳😂
This is so satisfying!
🪁🦇⚰️If you find yourself needing a quick engaging “spooky” read for a vlog this fall take down your gorgeous copy of From the Dust Reurned. Addams familyish with just a hint of the Munsters. Lots of coffins in the basement too 😁

Hi Katie! I'm Calista from KOLSup. I've been following your book reviews and literary insights-they're really insightful! 😊 Have you ever thought about having your own website?
14:06 Im doing my classic binge in September so I feel academic lol 😂 but I have too many to go through on my physical tbr.
64 unread books is pretty good. I have over 1,000 unread novels & manga/manwha.
Have you read Legacy Witches by Cass Kay I hope to this Fall! I am really looking forward to witchy, Haunting ghost books, and cozy mystery books this Fall. My list is so long 🤦♀️
Hound of the Baskervilles is a great book, you should leave it for October
Sword of Kaigen perfect winter book
You should do a video with you simply reading classics, although that might put you in a slump, but still.
You should read melmoth
06:21 is the Stormlight Archive books paperback or hardcover? they look huge. 😊
My thoughts on Powerful by Lauren Roberts- I gave it a 2 star. It was very fun and insta lovey in the beginning. I think cytonic comes before the novellas in the skyward series. That's the way I read it anyway and I adored that series but Cytonic was my least favourite.
I have over 200 books on my physical tar and I'm going to a book event next month where I have preordered way more. I get exited easily by books
I have 20 books left on my physical tbr but we don’t need to talk about my digital tbr 😅
Do you have any vampire book recommendations?
I thought Powerless was just okay, that said I did like Powerful and Reckless more.
Hi! 👋
Hi!❤
wait when did you read anne of green gables?
❤❤❤
Hooray for getting back into Discworld.
What do you mean why do you need Tale of Two Cities?! ... oh wait, you said you have another copy, never mind.
You're the second authortuber this week I've seen with Vampire Lestat on their TBR. So I guess Anne Rice could be cycling back around as a trend.
ROFLMAO ...... Wuthering Heights Twilight tie-in. (You'll be laughing as hard as I am once you've read it.)
"Plan ahead better" for the win.
Out of curiosity, have you ever tried writing a book? If whatever you wrote matched your energetic personality, I would be the first in line to read it even if it was a flaming mess. I think we have fun here.
Katieee have you read spy family
Winterwood was so good wdym you've only read half of it!!!
Aw what happened to Hester? 😢
Have you considered reading Game of Thrones? Xo
I have 135 unread books 😭😭🥲
honestly i really tried to like powerless but i just didnt :( it was so hyped and all we got was banter that was kind of giving 12 year olds?! no hate to anyone who loves it tho. anyways id recommend reading powerful cuz i did enjoy it a lot but i read half of reckless but it was just meh
💕🫶🏻🥰📚🙌🏼🤩
Where is Anne of Green Gables??? 😢
:))))
