would die for you to give us a book shelf tour because all your special editions are beautiful and i am so curious to see all your different editions of the shadowhunter books!
I asked her a few videos ago and she said she didn't feel like it for now but maybe she'll do one next year ! ( But who knows maybe she'll change her mind )
My biggest disappointment this year was Evocation by S.T. Gibson; the synopsis sounded SO GOOD, but the execution was...less than stellar. And my favorite character is definitely Murderbot, from The Murderbot Diaries. I started reading the series on KU at the beginning of June, and I'm OBSESSED. Murderbot is so relatable in so many ways. Even though Dracula isn't one of my favorite novels, that copy is stunning!
Circe is amazing. It was a book I hesitated to start, but once I did I ended up reading it all night. I think if you set some time aside to read the first few dozen or so pages you'll find yourself committed
when you said Brandon Sanderson's books took up 16% of your books read, my mouth hit the floor. Preservation is sending a message through your book count🤌
Dude bell jar is one my favorite books! Definitely makes you introspective about life and how one should live, but what is being a woman if not being introspective! Hope you enjoy:)
I've been meaning to read The Bell Jar for years 😅 I am here for all the spooky books, really in the mood for them this year. Veronica was my answer for favourite character, love the series so much
Love Shady Hollow, definitely recommend. The series just gets better, as you carry on. And there's cute short seasonal books in the series on kindle. One has a halloween setting called Phantom Pond.😊
I also have a hard time figuring out if I like Ali Hazelwood or not - I absolutely ADORED Love, Theoretically but then I practically eye rolled my way through The Love Hypothesis 💀 And now I'm kinda scared to try her other works
I started The Veronica Speedwell series after watching all of your reading vlogs...and I am absolutely captivated. Read the first two books in two days. 😅
i just finished mistborn era 1 and loved it so much! it's funny you say his books take up 16% of your reads so far this year considering 16 is such an important number in the cosmere lol
Loved hearing all your answers and I saw a comment requesting a bookshelf tour and I agree!!! I want to see all your beautiful books 😍 the Dracula book is stunning ❤️
I loved The Invocations! I just read it last month and was pleasantly surprised since this was my first book by that author. Now I need to read House of Hallow by her I've also never read the Bell Jar but want to read it soon!
Glad you’ve started Discworld 🐢 I first read Small Gods last month and then I read Wyrd Sisters. I haven’t exactly laughed out loud yet which makes me think I’m missing a lot of hidden snarkiness and satire. It must be going right over my head. I have Equal Rites and Witches Abroad to read next. Maybe I’ll get that LOL moment soon 😜🧙♀️🧹
So fun to hear that you enjoyed Equal Rites! I've been reading a lot of Discworld this year. Equal Rites was actually my least favourite Discworld book I've read this year. You should read Guards! Guards! (+ sequels), Small Gods, and Mort (+sequels) if you haven't already, they're so great and hilarious :).
I'm reading my summer reads right now..Jaws was pretty good not great and now I'm trying to stay with Stranded but it's only average..can't wait for Summerween this Friday!!!
My favorite books so far this year are A Court of Wings & Ruin, Funny Story & Happy Place, and The House In The Cerulean Sea. My disappointments were The Serpent and the Wings of Night and The Dead Romantics (Loved the vibes but I felt like the romance fell flat). Favorite new authors would be Rebecca Ross & Emily Henry.
I stated A novel love story by Ashley Poston. I have listened 20% of the audiobook and I'm enjoying the story which is really promising after suffering a reading slump on June.
What order of Brandon Sanderson books are you following? I want to read the Cosmere series but I got confused😓 I started with The Final Empire, is that correct?

You should do a video on books to read for summerween
When is summerween?
@@KRickell July 5th - 11th
was that not in her last video?
@@inkywhale8737 yeah she talked about it but I couldn’t remember if she said the dates and what they were if she did
@@inkywhale8737 i meant like a video on books that ppl should read for summerween, not just what shes reading for summerween
The cat is the star as usual, trying to concentrate on books and failing😅
Romances often make me emotional too, they're just so good at poking at stuff I would rather not think about haha
I just finished clockwork princess for the first time and life has now lost all meaning. grateful for this video!!
no way did i read this comment as i’m about to pick it up this evening….. wish me luck??? is that even the right thing to say
@@ofmuses I shed many a tear…praying for you 🙏 It’s definitely worth it though! I gave it a 5 stars :)

Listened to the audiobook 4 times so far! I love Circe so much
I've been thinking about reading Circe for a while and now I'm definitely convinced 👏

I'm from Austria, and can tell, you'll find gorgeous mountain landscapes here! 😍 Thank you for this video, I have a TON new books on my TBR now... 😂

I loved The Invocations! I just read it last month and was pleasantly surprised since this was my first book by that author. Now I need to read House of Hallow by her
I've also never read the Bell Jar but want to read it soon!
I finished Just for the Summer yesterday and absolutely loved it. My first Jimenez book, but not my last.
Days of Blood and Starlight is my favorite of the series, it is definitely stronger than book 1!
Omg your Dracula book is gorgeous
I actually just finished Shady Hollow today- you are going to love it! So much fun!
Great responses. I didn’t enjoy Mistborm Era 2 as much as Era 1 but it is very unfairly maligned.
Getting back to Discworld is always a good idea 😁
Glad you’ve started Discworld 🐢 I first read Small Gods last month and then I read Wyrd Sisters. I was going to DNF Mistborn era 2 after the 1st book, but you have me reconsidering.
July 2nd is the middle of the year. I've read 115 books so far this year.
You should definitely come visit Austria hehe
Stop everything and read Circle. You will love it!
Persuasion is my favorite book by Jane Austen. Pride and Prejudice being a close second. I guess I need to read some Brandon Sanderson!!❤
This is my 2nd year doing this tag i loves it. So fun. 🧋📚🌈🍨
I'm reading "Shady Hollow" now and it's so cute and interesting.
finally someone that agrees with me!!! as a norwegian i have so many issues with a fate inked in blood🙃
Austria is awesome, the Alpes are in France :3

You should read Our Crooked Hearts by Melissa Albert, I feel like you'd love it! It's YA horror/fantasy with witches!!!
We would like to dedicate this midyear checkin to Brandon Sanderson 😂❤
My favorite classic is Rebecca by Daphne Dumaurier.
Where did you get your edition of Circe??!! I've been looking everywhere for that specific edition!! Also, 5 star read for me
Noo wayy brooklyn 99 😂😂 in which scene did u cry in?
What order of Brandon Sanderson books are you following? I want to read the Cosmere series but I got confused😓 I started with The Final Empire, is that correct?
yay!! yippee!! amazing video
I didn’t understand what the Yumi and the Nightmare Painter edition is exactly?
Do you have any recommendations for where to shop for UK covers for those of us in the US who are inloveee with the UK covers instead?
Blackwells! They have free shipping to the US too!
I didn’t see your cat at first! I thought it was a throw
greetings from austria :)
A room tour on RUclips pls..
I've never read a Brandon Sanderson book. Please help a girl out, and tell me where to start!
Ive been looking into it on TikTok… most ppl say mistborn1,2 and 3
Mistborn is the ideal start for sure
Warbreaker is great and it's a standalone so you don't have to commit to a whole trilogy/series.
