i love the way you explain the plots for books. you go into them with a certain care. i have given certain books a second chance only due to how you've described them
I’ve been in a reading slump lately and DNF-ing almost every book within one chapter. I’m currently 10 pages into The Philosophers Flight and can already feel my love for fantasy coming back 🥰 so thank you! 🫶🏻🥹
You're really rolling with these back to back amazing book content! Please never stop speaking about books because you just have a captivating way about it! All 5 books sounded amazing and I'm so excited to explore and get to it!
Omg yes with Graceling! I've read the first two books in the series recently, and they hold up so well! Way less tropey and stereotypical than I was expecting.
LOVE Graceling, but the second book 'Fire' is one of my favourite Fantasy novels. I reread it nearly every year. Some great recs here - love this style of video!
Oh I so agree with you on Sorcery of Thorns. It is one of my favs and I loved the sequel novella. The story and romance is so amazing. I love you sweater! Last summer I visited WDW for the first time and Epcot was one of my favorite parks❤
yes sorcery of thorns is so epic! love it so much. and thank you! so glad you had fun in Epcot and WDW - it's one of my favorite places in the entire world (as you can probably tell from all the merch i wear, lol)
These all sound really good! One of my fav underhyped fantasy is The Dollmaker of Krakow. It has such magical and whimsical writing but is also mixed with a historical setting
I like this video, however I am a bit confused about the "unpopular" and "deserve more hype" tags. Graceling has had a time in the spotlight a few years ago and has 469,000 ratings on goodreads. A Darker Shade of Magic has been the resident booktube sweetheart for a few years now. And it also has over 300,000 ratings on goodreads.
It’s not a perfect science but like I said in the video, I personally haven’t seen anyone talk about them specifically on Booktok, Booktube and Bookstagram. Doesn’t mean they aren’t talked about at all, but this is my opinion.
When I saw the video title the first book that popped into my mind was Graceling. I actually yelled “yes!” and pointed at my phone while I was doing the dishes when you said it 😂 Fire is also my favorite in the series.
the Septimus Heap books by Angie Sage, Kevin Hearnes book series (The Iron Druid Chronicles, the ink and sigil series and the seven kennings series), the Dreamwalker series by J.D. Oswald and the A Dark and Hollow Star series by Ashley Shuttleworth.
Graceling was recommended to me by my favorite librarian and it was so good! There are 5 novels in that world now: Graceling, Fire, Bitterblue, Winterkeep, and Seasparrow. All worth reading.
I'm trying to find books that aren't tiktoks "smut" books as I'm trying to get back into reading. I have added most of these to my booklist and I am very excited to read em! Thank you for the video
I clicked on this video because I’m looking for “not hyped” books that are interesting and captivating and I have placed all of these books on my wish list 😅. I just started Warrior of the Wild by Tricia Levenseller, it came out in 2020 and I’m loving it! It’s also kind of grumpy girl sunshine boy, and she is a warrior so not your typical small delicate girl. I’ve watched several of your videos today and just subscribed 👍🏻.
Some more unpopular books I would say are The Queen’s Thief by Megan Whalen Turner, Penryn and the End of the Days by Susan Ee, Curse Workers by Holly Black… these all have lesser than 100K rating on GR… love the recommendations in the video esp The memory thief…
Fated by benedict jacka is one of those books i really want to talk about with people but it seems like nobody knows about it, which is a shame because i kinda really enjoyed it and want to know what the rest of the series is about
I started reading “a crown of ivy and glass” by Claire Legrand and I’m not on booktok or bookstagram and just recently (1month ago) entered into booktube and I haven’t seen anyone talk about this book I just bought it because of the pretty cover. Let me know if you’ve ever heard of the book, I’m 300pages in and I’m still on the fence between loving it and not liking it at all. Also don’t know if you’ve ever read “strange the dreamer” by Laini Taylor but I loved loved loved the series (2books) Also I added most of your recommendations to my tbr haha
i love the way you explain the plots for books. you go into them with a certain care. i have given certain books a second chance only due to how you've described them
Awe, thank you so much!

THIS MAKES ME SO HAPPY
You're really rolling with these back to back amazing book content! Please never stop speaking about books because you just have a captivating way about it! All 5 books sounded amazing and I'm so excited to explore and get to it!
thank you so much! hope you find a new read that you love!
Omg yes with Graceling! I've read the first two books in the series recently, and they hold up so well! Way less tropey and stereotypical than I was expecting.
They really do hold up!
LOVE Graceling, but the second book 'Fire' is one of my favourite Fantasy novels. I reread it nearly every year. Some great recs here - love this style of video!

Graceling is definitely YA, not Adult! ( But i do look forward to reading it!)
These all sound really good! One of my fav underhyped fantasy is The Dollmaker of Krakow. It has such magical and whimsical writing but is also mixed with a historical setting
Ooh that sounds interesting!
Yes! I loved it too!
Also, yes, Graceling is an all-time favorite for me! Love seeing it on this list.
It's so good!
Ok you’ve convinced me to add some of these to my tbr list!❤
Ooh yay! ❤️
This makes our day! Thank you so much for sharing the love and we hope you enjoy the stories as much as we did!! 😍 Happy reading!!
A DARKER SHADE OF MAGIC YES
YEPPPPP it needs to be talked about more

Agreed, feels like the creator sort of missed the previous years' hyped books, because you could NOT escape ADSoM a few years ago😅
Really want to read Shades of Magic, but I've just recovered from Gallant and I don't trust Schwab not to wreck my fragile heart again.
Gallant is on my shelf right now…still haven’t read it but this makes me nervous haha
@@olivesbooknook sorry😅 But if you like Schwab in general, I think you'll like it, too.
When I saw the video title the first book that popped into my mind was Graceling. I actually yelled “yes!” and pointed at my phone while I was doing the dishes when you said it 😂 Fire is also my favorite in the series.
Wait this is awesome, makes me so happy!
the Septimus Heap books by Angie Sage, Kevin Hearnes book series (The Iron Druid Chronicles, the ink and sigil series and the seven kennings series), the Dreamwalker series by J.D. Oswald and the A Dark and Hollow Star series by Ashley Shuttleworth.
Ooh, thanks for all these suggestions!
The graceling link is missing, great video 💙
Op, thanks for letting me know!
Graceling was recommended to me by my favorite librarian and it was so good! There are 5 novels in that world now: Graceling, Fire, Bitterblue, Winterkeep, and Seasparrow. All worth reading.
FIVE? Woah how did I not know that
I'm trying to find books that aren't tiktoks "smut" books as I'm trying to get back into reading. I have added most of these to my booklist and I am very excited to read em! Thank you for the video
Oh yay! I hope you like them!
I just discovered your channel a few days ago and you’re now my comfort book tuber ❤ we have very similar taste so I always take your recs!
That's so nice wow. Thank you so much!!
Every time you open your beverage you hold it and make a face like you expect it to explode
Well what if it does explode
@olivesbooknook hahaha. Then I guess you are prepared. Always look forward to new content from you. Happy reading.
LOVE the Epcot sweatshirt!
Haha, thank you!
the entire graceling book series is very underrated
I love them ❤️

Thanks so much for the kind comment! I'm glad you're here. And thanks for the book suggestion as well, I'll have to look into that!
Some more unpopular books I would say are The Queen’s Thief by Megan Whalen Turner, Penryn and the End of the Days by Susan Ee, Curse Workers by Holly Black… these all have lesser than 100K rating on GR… love the recommendations in the video esp The memory thief…
ooh thank you! i'll have to look these up!
I’m new to your channel but your videos are such a vibe
thank you so much! welcome!
I don’t really enjoy reading fantasy at all BUT I love listening to your reviews and explanations 😀 so I stayed for the entire thing. It was amazing.
That’s so nice!! Thank you so much!
one day twelve kings will be on these lists T___T the most underrated
i've never heard of it haha - i'll have to look it up
Fated by benedict jacka is one of those books i really want to talk about with people but it seems like nobody knows about it, which is a shame because i kinda really enjoyed it and want to know what the rest of the series is about
i've heard good things about it but haven't picked it up yet! i'll need to look into getting a copy
VE Schwab is one of my favs! I love Vicious by her the most. 😊 Definitely underhyped
I haven’t read viscous! I really need to
"you can't argue with science" haha oh boy how i wish that was true
One underrated fantasy series that deserves more hype is The Cradle series by Will Wight📚
i've never heard of it, but i'll have to look it up!
I started reading “a crown of ivy and glass” by Claire Legrand and I’m not on booktok or bookstagram and just recently (1month ago) entered into booktube and I haven’t seen anyone talk about this book I just bought it because of the pretty cover. Also I added most of your recommendations to my tbr haha
i haven't heard of either of those books but i'll have to look them up!
Graceling was soooooo good! Thanks for reminding me of it 🖤
You’re welcome! ❤️
My TBR is scared to see you recommending books. I will literally buy them all 🥲
Hahahaha 😂
Awesome video so inspiring to us newbie booktubers! You make it look so easy 🫶🏻
