Rodney Dangerfield was a comedy God! I like them old Johnny Carson reruns where he does this thing on stage, comes up and sits in the chair next to Johnny, and does a whole new set while poor Mr.Carson tries to conduct his interview. Comedy gold! Norm McDonald did 1 of Rodney's anti interview sets when he was on a late show. Not only did he get no respect, but I don't think anyone knew what he was doing. To me that made it better, and you could tell by the smile on Norm's face he understood that. Rest in peace Mr.Dangerfeild, and save a joint for me...
AHAHA!!! Oddly though the man got a ton of respect in his later years, I love him for truly trying hard to make himself the man he wanted to be, I mean how many people can say that they have done that in one lifetime. This man deserves all the respect, One of a kind, LEGEND!!!!!! I hate the fact that I was a kid when he was just breaking through and finally getting what he deserved, all those years of hard work for this man. I was too young to truly engage in him and I look back and there were no one else better than him at all...Rest in Heaven, I bet your still making everyone laugh where you are. It was his nature, the funny bone was always inside of him and always will be. Some comedians are only funny on stage, some are actually pretty funny in person to and this man was one of them, just a natural....I wish he was here now amongst many other greats that had his same comedic dna. John Candy, George Carlin and I can't think of many right now but maybe you guys can help me out. :) I did rewatch and look more into Elvira, and honestly she is pretty funny, she could have done stand up easily.
