Phil was just so polished in everything he did. When he was on SNL, he was the glue. He’s literally a knockout in every interview, perfect guest for any talk show host. Had an incredible resume with improv, voice acting, and art illustrations. The guy had the brightest future. I think he could have been on par with Bryan Cranston if he landed a comedic role like Hal in Malcolm in the Middle or a dramatic role like Breaking Bad. He could have played roles Tom Hanks played, he had that kind of charisma and range. He was just so damn likable. And clearly was an amazing father, this video showcases likely his proudest moment at SNL with the announcement of his daughter’s birth. Rest In Peace comedy hero ❤️

There was one Sinatra group episode where Billy Idol was on the panel and Phil said - "I've got chunks of guys like you in my stool." Then there's the Green and Fazio ads - "do you want to spend the rest of your life wondering, maybe I should have sued?" And of course we can't forget Troy McClure and Lionel Hutz. A comic genius. Jon Lovitz, Dana Carvey, and Phil Hartman golfing with Jack Nicholson...
    PRICELESS.

I was in basic training summer '98. They totally cut us off from the world. I didn't find out about Monica Lewinski or Phil Hartman dying until something like 6 months later. He was my favorite comedian at that time. I liked those commercials he did where he was dressed up in a trench coat.

I must have been the only one watching it, but I was a huge fan of News Radio which Phil starred in for 4 or 5 years until he was murdered. In my opinion it was the best thing on TV at the time. Phil was awesome in it, and I was stunned at the news. I only found out later that nobody watched the show. So if you get a chance, check it out.
