Smart as always. The Bigger the historical figure the easier it is to type them I think, as long as there's substantial information on them. Due to mistypings, I've used certain celebrities to type myself against. I've also used celebrity typings based on the kind of women I like to theoretically narrow down my type as well. Certain Types are going to like particular types, period. Textbook Compatability can get a little iffy when you try and apply it because what's on paper doesn't always work so real life examples are usually more helpful. Obviously fictional characters can also be typed but only if it's a well written, well developed character, meaning they have to act like a real person would. I've seen many characters typed and I'm like: "no one acts like this because this isn't a real person so this typing is worthless."

When it comes to historical figures it’s definitely possible to type them especially when your reading their thoughts on paper. I guess the best example of this would be meditations by Marcus Aurelius as the first chapters he reflects on what learned from people who gave helpful advice to him and how they played a role in who he is as a man in terms of how he a accommodate himself to others or not take offense to others vulgarity

You can ballpark historical figures to likely types.
Napoleon was likely SLE or LIE.
    Einstein LII, ILE, ILI.
    Etc.
    Ballpark.
DCNH, Upbringing, Enneagram type, off camera differences, trauma, culture, and 500 other small things alter how one comes across in society.

The same can be argued about anyone. By that standard you might as well conclude that no one is ever type-able without an outrageous amount of time and effort that is no longer practical.
