Would you like it if we tried to build a DIY speaker smart speaker? On a budget? Let us know and we hope you enjoy the video!
Yes
Hi have a look at Doublsum here on RUclips he builds custom speakers his videos may help you design yours!
Yes, but just because I can 😎 if you don't make one by March 2021 I'll do one and post on my channel. (I'm that backlogged between work, and RUclips videos) but I'm totally down for it.
Yes
I love my Sonos and have had it installed for years using separate ceiling speakers and it just works but as you say it’s SO EXPENSIVE! Glad to see other companies bringing out more affordable setups 👍🏻
Installed these in my bedroom last year and be flawless. Amazing sound quality and so easy to install and use
Broooooo, mad upgrades
You need acoustic hoods over them units in your loft. They provide good fire protection too
I love it! Thx for posting!
How long have you had them for now? Would you change anything ?
next install: fire suppression system in the roof
What for
On a 12 volt?. Naw. But would pick the plug in connection off the insulation nail it to the stud or maybe wrap it
@@stevengibbons1101 Fire hoods are designed to stop the spread of fire from one zone to another, it's not necessarily to prevent damage from the item itself catching fire
@@MatSmithLondon not sure what your point us big guy
@@stevengibbons1101 You said no point in any fire suppression system for the loft, because it's only 12V. That misses the point, at least here in the UK we have building regs that require fire hoods to be placed over fittings, regardless of what voltage they are. It is related to the fact there's an opening in the ceiling which can encourage fire to spread through loft...
These should have fire hoods.
Great video!
Loving your content Alex! has been a fan of u since building of the dream gaming setup 5 years ago thats mental. Stay awesome Keep smiling. Love from Singapore
Would be nice if they sent you more through so you could test the multi room experience. Nice review.
Sick video Alex
Great video👍
I do a lot of my own DIY stuff and I have a Deco mesh unit in my loft, along with wiring for an echo dot on my bathroom ceiling.
Do you ever worry about things getting hot? With that insulation in the ceiling do you not think that could have an effect on the cooling of your gadgets?
Very nice Mumbo outro 😂
Keep up the great work on all your videos
We thank you!
Sick Alex
I use some Logitech Z333’s with an old laptop that has Spotify and Viper for Windows w/ equalizer APO. Sounds pretty good for what it is 🤷🏻♂️
Beast vid bro
I really enjoy this Vlog with the info on the install & set up. One question Alex, why weren’t you wearing eye protection while you were drilling & cutting above your head (or anytime for that matter)? Safety First! You only have one set of eyes.
This is an unrelated question, but where did you buy the orchid plant behind your desk?
I'm renovating a bathroom for my teens and they all listen to music on their phones. I'm actually shocked how few options there are for built in wall or ceiling speakers, bluetooth of course. A portable one isn't convenient. You have to charge it , it takes up space and the kids will end up taking it to their rooms. And no, those ceiling fans with the built in speaker are crap. I could rig one up I suppose but I'd rather just buy one.
very nice video
I have a google home mini in my bathroom! It works perfect for me
How do you power it
@@jackgreen4856 I have an output in my bathroom
We have one too, but I’m bourgeois n extra
Another great video 😁👍🏿 on another note, where did you get your pencil like cover for your Apple Pencil? Iv looked everywhere and can’t find one like it.
You get them straight from apple it’s not a cover it’s the actual Apple Pencil your seeing
awesomely done, nice firehazard tho :D no leaking or molding afterwards? didn't see how the sealing works.
yep, if up into a loft they most likely need a fire hood... 40 quid
Nice set up mate!! Also what song did you have playing the first time? (8:14)
Jordyn edmonds-Refresh
Am I compelled to send you a shaver?
Udm pro in a rack? Video comming up?
Smart
Dude, you should do a video that how to do NAS :)
Weird question that I kept asking myself whilst watching this video is, do they do PoE powered amplified ceiling speakers at all, if anyone knows the answer and has a recommendation for some that would be great, other than that great video and now has me thinking of getting some ceiling speakers sorted for my kitchen.
PoE powered models are launching in 2021...
@@LitheAudio Brilliant, I will keep an eye out for them :)
Found you from the gadget show lol
Your legs r gonna be hella itchy you just walked all over insulation 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Do they integrate with Google/Alexa? The instructions suggest so but reviews I've seen so far do not cover that aspect.
Yes
I’m pretty sure you can listen to Spotify via AirPlay
I may missed it but i assume they IP 54 rated? Good vid though - thanks
Power can be spurred off the ceiling lights. Check the manual
yeah, but if he's already got standard mains power in his loft then he doesn't need to bother with that
Doesnt mean you have to though and if it were me id have neither used extension or spurred of the lights - I would have used a 3A or 5A switched FCU off sockets circuit
Hi tech flow. Have you heard the kii three's. A heard a lot of great thinks about them you should check them out.
Is it ok for sauna rooms?
Steams going to do that speaker by the shower the world of good lol
They are bathroom speakers so I'm guessing it's been designed with that in mind or so you'd hope 😅
Depends if they’re IP rated or not
@@josh_2174 Yes IP rated and designed for bathrooms :)
What’s the fire rating and IP rating of those speakers? Have you introduced an external socket circuit into the bathroom environment?
Just take a feed from the sw / Light into a Spur ( above the ceiling ) and take it from there into the speaker
Ip65 and fire cement
They're IP44
Yall need to either clean your sensor, or your back element of the lens 🤣 can’t stop seeing it!
What about just using a set of car speakers and a Pi? This could do the same thing for a lot cheaper. I was also going to say about the fire safety but I can see others have already said about this.
An extention lead plugged into an extention lead... Fire hazard right there 🤦♂️
It doesnt matter if you chain extension leads as long as you dont overpower them.
@@2005Bener exactly plus most extension leads have overload protection
Why should someone not buy the current WiFi series of speakers and wait for the 2021 PoE versions?
Luxury of toulet speakers
Gadget Show!!!
Could I play them via airplay at the same time as my sonos in other rooms?
Yes, you can use AirPlay 2 to group all Lithe Audio speakers together and any other AirPlay 2 speakers or TV's to all play at the same time.
How are they with Alexa/G-Home? Seamless integration?
Connect via blurletooth
Gosh if you were in the u.s. we would be good friends lol
5:50 why not use a jigsaw?
If it has RCA, run it off a Sonos Amp?
yeah and blow the speakers at the same time not!
Alex, get rid of the Yale alarm and replace it with a Ring Alarm. ( buy other sensors aswell for ring alarm ) and also buy nest smoke alarms
Ring is garbage
@@HARLEYMLM1966 at least its better than Yale
Are the waterproof or water resistant?
Yes, that's why they're bathroom speakers 🤪
IP-44 rated cones. Designed for steam and condensation. Avoid placing directly above a showerhead and splash zones for full longevity avoid.
What if the magnetic covers fall off whilst ur in the shower 😂
How many can you pair to one room?
up to 30 speakers :)
Are these in the US?
Yes
@@sagas001 Doesn't appear to be in the U.S.
Are they waterproof? Just thinking about steam and condensation from the hot shower?
The Bathroom speakers are IP-44 rated and designed for steam and condensation. Make sure you choose the ones with the white cones.
Its all fun and games till you slip in the shower doing the charlsten. Ha cha chaa old person joke lol
Pleaaaaase clean that sensor :D
Interesting
Indeed
👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌🔥🔥
Google Chrome Audio, cheap and seamless 😀
very good, but discontinued :(
Alex : pretends to be a top dj in the bathroom
Everyone liked that

1,200 for the speakers, not like he bought that iPad for like 3k to browse the internet.
iPad was £749. Just because you can’t even afford a Freddo. Keep your mouth shut.
