"It's worth buying but I don't know the price" lol great review
it is the cable version if u new on pc. hall effect sticks never stick drift.
@@St4yS4fe I get that but it's funny he didn't even know the price and said it was worth buying. That doesn't make sense. Btw it's $200 dollars and $100 for the cable version
for the shoulder keys M1 and M2, I remap them into L3 and R3 which are under the joystick, and this has changed my experience of playing many action games, especially when I need to press L3 and R3 while moving.
it really is a godsend
But can't you already press L3 and R3 while moving? @@retropwned
@HurriedDragons True, but pressing down on the analogue sticks feels more awkward.
I remap M1 and M2 to map and inventory for Apex legends. Works out pretty well.
Its insane that i never EVER thought to do this with the V2
Its crazy that just the wireless feature raised the price by 100 dollars. The wired only version is 100 dollars.
It's the wireless ..the carry case and sticks caps ..and some shit about enhance rumble 😂...
It does have some extra accessories too, but I think the main reason is the wireless license that Microsoft loves charging a premium for.
@@StardustLegacyFighter Yeah the licensing is mainly what I was getting at.
@@StardustLegacyFighter wow!!!
It’s Xbox that’s why
This is terrible timing for them to make a new controller I just got a new one earlier this month
No worries the v2 chroma has better latency🫡
I did the same
terrible timing FOR YOU
@@nurgle-j5n yeah?………..that’s what I meant?
@@kevintraore9189 I meant I got a new controller being the 8bitdo ultimate 3mode
The top of the controller having extra paddles was FANTASTIC. And if you’re wondering what games they are great for my profile pic speaks for itself.
im going to be waiting another 20 days to get the tournament edition. Only difference im seeing is that the tournament is a wired only version but for half the price (100 pounds) and ive always played wired so that doesnt bother me one bit
Just preordered the tournament myself $100 for a such a nice looking controller is a hard bargain to ignore
Top button I plan on using one for y and then other for scorestreaks so don’t have to move thumb.
I thought about using one of those top buttons for maybe a dedicated dive button so I don’t have to hold down the button to perform a dive and have that delay. I tried hybrid, but with the controller I’m currently using it isn’t accurate and does inputs I didn’t even attempt to do too 😭😭😭
I have a question Razer wolverine v3 pro dos the controller ha to be off or on while is charging? Sorry my ignorance .. I enjoy ur videos thank to u I bought the Razer wolverine v3 pro in so far I'm loving it I got it yesterday.. keep up the great work much love from Hollywood C.A
So close to ordering one of these. I prefer lighter tension on the thumbstick.
Why, do you prefer to have less accuracy?
@primemachine146 What makes it less accurate? You are not impeded by the spring to adjust your thumb position. I know where i want my thumb to be. Plus over long gaming sessions there is less fatigue. Bit similar to the way I use my mouse in fps glass feet on plastic pad.
@@primemachine146 its preference tho, plus alot of pro players especially apex run lower tension
Glad the sod made it to the next version of the controller. It works wonders for fighting games.
Perfect timing! My Xbox elite right bumper gave out on me!!!! You continue to impress, my good sir!😊
Mine has been struggling now for a month. Been waiting for something like this. Hall effect joysticks and similar rear button setup like my elite 2 series
i have the best luck with just the core controllers. funnily enough the "elite" controllers seem to be a lot less reliable.
My right bumper on my elite also has given out (a good while ago) and I’ve been waiting for a good enough replacement for it and this seems like it would be a very good replacement!
@Precise_Ant76 I fixed my RB on my Wolverine Ultimate controller using isopropylic alcohol, it wasn't registering some presses & double registered others so reloading in gears 5 was a nuisance - try getting sum in there & shake it out, then wait 24-48 h for it to dry out before reconnecting it.
@@jairdabriniI’ve tried that method and it only worked for a little bit and went back to how it was before. I just want to get a new one with new features that can hopefully last longer than the terrible QC of the Eilte lol
Razers controller software is laughable. Having six additional buttons but not being able to bind paddles to stick inputs (console) / keyboard inputs is a deal breaker for me.
L3 and r3 are the only stick inputs that would be justifiable to bind to any of the extra buttons. Everything else you seems dumb
I know it's tough to get used to but there's actually a scientific and medical reason why razor does that. It's been proven that you are more likely to get carpal tunnel and other hand strain issues with the shape of the traditional Xbox controller. Razor actually hired medical professionals to help design the controller in a way to where you would more loosely hold it and not get hand strain over years of gaming

@@mellonsymphonic8658fr this mf the trust me bro final boss
I don't know how true that claim is, but I do love the ergonomics of this controller a lot.
It feels super comfortable and perfectly shaped for my hands, regardless of whether I use a traditional or claw grip.
@@louieduarte7436😂
Your killing me smalls, the old back paddle configuration was my favorite controller over the years, an now there isn't an alternative on the market. I wanted hall effect sticks on this controller too. I actually dropped the Gamsir controllers to come back to the wolverine, specifically for the paddle configuration also the the M2 button is used as a mouse click trigger in competitive shooters, If the M2 now feels like the bumpers this controller is dead to me.
Dear Razor, all I want is a copy of the Wolverine V1 at 1000hz , with hall effect sticks and 100% mouse click buttons including the paddles!
Then you would have the perfect tournament controller.
Sincerely the owner of the Razer; Sabertooth, Wolverine V1 & Wolverine V2
Did you copy and paste the same comment on multiple videos about this controller?
I could have sworn that I've already read this comment before, but under a different video. 🤔
@@StardustLegacyFighter yes
same i like the old 4 paddle design in the middle of the controller
The old paddle design was hated by most in the community , this is has way more ergonomics than having to strain the fingers to something unnatural to the hand.
@@brandonsimms3268Thanks for confirming that, I thought I was going mad. 😂
Loved the video but just a tip when you're doing the sound test of the button presses it's probably a good idea not to talk during that part lol But outside of that good video man
I loved my wolverine v2 chroma been using it for a while now so i might get this one later
Oh. My . God. FINALLY they made a controller without the stupid back button placement! This looks WAY more ergonomic. It actually has everything I look for. Wow. This might actually be the one .
I hope they make some sort of dock so I can just drop the controller into it to charge. Hate having to plug in to charge
@@uradeutsch That's a good idea.!!
No dock, unfortunately.
The 2 shoulder buttons i usually map to x and y. Its really clutch once you get used to it.
Personally I assign the top left extra button to the A button (bumper jumper) and the top right to Y
Looks like the others. Works like the others. It's the others.
?
I really wish we had more Customizations
i use for the shoulder keys M1 and M2 X and Y for games like the Witcher 3 never need to take thumbs off the analog stick when fighting
@guitarslayer311 good idea, thanks for the recommendation.
Also one thing you left out in the video there was no mention of how long the battery life is. Especially when you tweak various settings
It's pretty solid.
I've been using it for 4 days straight, and it still hasn't been completely depleted, despite only being partially charged out of the box.
I feeaking love this controller. The only knock I have on razer is that they cant seem to build a good stick. Since the OG wolverine days Ive always gotten one with a crooked stick out of the box. This one too.
I'd send that back, lol.
@@StardustLegacyFighter yeah I sent two back already. Same issues lol
Great video but I wanted to ask can you turn on your Xbox with the wireless dongle
@iSyllable Yes you can, I actually showed that in the video.
Ok thanks idk how I missed that but I’m definitely getting this controller
I play claw and cannot wait for mine to come in.
cool but i saw a dude on reddit with stick drifts out of the box LOL
Perfectly normal for hall effect joysticks.
The only ppl making a fuss about it are ppl who don't know how hall effect joysticks behave.
I assign the extra shoulder buttons to Left and Right stick click because I hate clicking down the sticks.
I got mine yesterday and the Hall Effect sensors feel so different to me. Even with lowering the dead zones in the app and in-game, the controller does not feel as snappy as my Scuf Instinct Pro. I played with the V3 Pro for a few hours and then switched back to my Scuf and the difference was immediately apparent. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong, but my Scuf instinct thumbsticks actually feel more precise and my aim is much better with them. Not sure if it's a matter of me getting used to the hall effect thumbsticks or what.
It'll take a bit getting used to, and also, not all hall effect joysticks are made the same.
I hope this isn't the case, but this controller could be using cheap ones in comparison to the in-house ones made by Gulikit and Flydigi.
We'll only know for sure once a reputable channel is able to do a teardown for this controller.
Kudos to Razer for fixing the back buttons, using hall effect joysticks, and providing a carrying case.
My biggest gripe with the previous model was the poor value, especially when compared to the competition.
I recently purchased the Victrix Pro BFG, and I'm considering sending it back and getting this controller since I don't need the option to use a different layout or a dedicated fight pad.
I got the original wolverine and I liked it very much until it started stick drifting. The Hall effect sticks sound very appealing, but the higher price tag does not.
There's a wired only version for 100 dollars
Thanks Joelster
Lol they made that accessory pocket in the lid useless. Its upside down as you open it. You gonna dump everything every time its opened
Only if whatever you're putting inside is very loose.
Ich habe mir diesen Controller vorhin bestellt für meine Xbox Series X ❤
Stubby grips make it a no-go for me. Just get a Hypr which is a custom Elite 2 with hall effect sticks and stick tension adjust
Hella negative reviews also they’ve basically abandoned there brand? And ignore past customers
They are shite lol
Modded controllers are usually overpriced and have a shit ton of issues.
@@StardustLegacyFighter No issues at all love this controller.
@@MadClowdzGood for you, but most ppl can't agree unfortunately.
Awesome!
Can you remap the buttons to keyboard inputs?
are stick as stiff as razer wolwerine v2 chroma?
Does it have the same deadzone issue v2 had ?
I'm not sure what issues the V2 had, but I can tell you these feel less snappy and responsive than my Scuf Instinct Pro even with the dead zones lowered in the app and in-game.
does it have gyro support?
No
Man is death gripping his controller..forced to hold this one without a death grip and is some how more tired 😂..what shit im i hearing...😂😂😂
Where is the app for pc?
Is a PS5 version coming out?
It’s $350 In my region 😢. I feel controllers doesn’t need to be this expensive. Looking for a Xbox elite controller replacement. My Xbox elite controller right bumper doesn’t work properly and left stick drifting like fast and furious 😂
This one is far better than the Elite Series 2, although you could probably wait for a good deal late on down the line.
Does it have impulse triggers and rumble motors like the original xbox controller?
It has both.
@@StardustLegacyFighter that's great
I’ve been looking for the Elite Series killer for so long. The Elite Series are so problematic and poorly built, but none of the other 3rd party controllers I’ve tried have a good enough feel to be a replacement.
try Flydigi Apex 4 or Flydigi Vader 4 Pro, best gamepads out there with cheapter price
No PlayStation version 😢
$200 for a controller and they didn't have the foresight to make it compatible with their razer branded xbox charging docks.
Everything else look fine.
$270 Canadian on their website - pretty rich for a controller. I think it would last a long time though if cared for.
@@kylerobinson6102 Razer Wolverine V3 Tournament Edition. Same exact controller, but wired only and no case : $140 CAD.
@@arthby oh I already have one from a couple years ago. I think it's a wired V2? Fantastic controller.

How is the connectivity? Does it disconnect or is it steady eddie? @averagejackmedia609
Play CoD with a short stick and don't use the shoulder buttons. Why are you testing if you have no idea
can you remap the paddles to a keyboard input?

If only they would make it in white
I'm surprised they don't, but then again, their Xbox controllers have always been black.
Does anyone know if Kontrol freeks fit on this controller
What sucks imo about the controller is that it’s polling rate locked so you can’t access the 1000hz on the Xbox at most maybe 500hz (2ms delay) if you overclock
But is going to be 250hz stock for Xbox (4ms delay) like wth 🤦🏽♂️
Xbox is polling rate blocked
@@Teilzeit02 no higher than 500hz while PS5 has access to 1000hz and has for years
Thats Not true , Gamesir G7 se hast 1000hz on xbox
@@rhoadeiut you're talking out the ass rn
@@kenzilbaptiste2519 victrix gambit exist🤷🏽♂️the info is out there on polling rates and overclocking, is there anything of importance you want to contribute?
Can Kontrolfreaks fit on the thumb sticks
might need the ps4/5 ones
Comming to PS5 as well?
It should be since there was a Wolverine v2 pro for PS, which was released after the Wolverine v2 chroma for Xbox.
End of the year joke from Razer...so I ordered the GameSir G7 HE in response to this joke.
can’t wait to upgrade from my g7 se great controller but lacks so much high end features
Yeah, I mean it's noticeably more expensive in comparison, but at least they're finally implementing hall effect joysticks and slightly higher polling rates, although it's wired only.
Apex 4 for half price way better lol😂
there’s a wired version for half the price
Chinese cheap plastic can’t be better. Stop to misinformation just because you can’t spend 200$ on a new controller
@@daniele728 Misinformation lol
@@daniele728 lmao, 50$ Vader 4 Pro still better than this shit
@@daniele728They're both made in China, you doughnut.
And btw, China only brands have a far better QC than ones that get sold all around the world, this is similar behaviour to JDM goods.
Can this turn on the Xbox wirelessly?
6:17 it mentions it does
Yes wirelessly & corded. I tested it yesterday.
Polling rate????
250Hz on Xbox in both wired and wireless modes.
1000Hz on PC, but only in wired mode and 250Hz in wireless mode.
Are the V3 as wide as the V2, or have they changed the actual width of the new controllers vs the old V2's? Is the ergonomics the same or different (V3 vs V2)?
Btw, the gaps around the LT/LB/M1 & RT/RB/M2 buttons seem prone to accumulate alot of dust & dirt. Build quality wont probably be as the same lvl of the V1 Ultimate.
Why would the v1 ultimate be better built?
I’d rather have dual sense edge tbh Sony just improved the overall pc comparability so hopefully it’s up to par now.
It’s not sadly.
@@kingofsayians2224I’ll have to stick with wired for now than no biggie still worth it more for me personally
lol
The edge was always up to par. It’s the best pro controller on the market by a decent margin. This controller doesn’t change that.
This controller doesn't compete with that, hall sticks have their own trade-offs and market.
For gamers by gamers my hole. How dumb is it that oooooh you get 6 new buttons that aren't really new buttons at all but the exact same input as buttons already on the controller without being able to remap them to keyboard functions.
That's my biggest gripe with these "pro" controllers, as they restrict so many basic features, because they assume their users are all pros, who won't be allowed to use things like macros and keyboard buttons in LAN tournaments.
what would happen if you overclocked it? 😂
Does anyone know if any kontrolfreaks fit on this controller?
On the v2 they dont
@@theFoxxx866hopefully they changed them :/ 1 tall stick isn’t enough
I can't comment on the KFs but the skullcrusher rubber caps do fit.
I read on REDDIT it can
2,4 ghz - 250 hz connection, wired mode 1000 only in pc software, instead share button better should be turbo button(autofiremode), i mean wtf noautofire mode , this controller sucks
It's because it's marketed as an "esports controller", and all of those things are banned in tournaments.
I wouldn't buy this controller for the features alone, as there are far better options available.
finally the controller we need. Its 200$... we dont need it...
The wired only version is 100 dollars
@@SkyBlasterOGactually a good deal
Hall effect sticks suck for fps games. The trend of them needs to go away
@@abelke nah you suck
They don't suck, you just don't understand them properly.
Whilst it's true that some of them are bad for input lag and precision, the better quality ones are miles better than any POTS joysticks.
Also, TMR joysticks are going to be even better than hall effect joysticks, so watch this space.
