Hi Gus, well done for these informative videos. I bought the XA11 a week ago, my first dedicated video camera and extremely pleased with it. I also have a very high end DSLR but the menu's are so confusing combining video and photo that it kind of made sense to go this way. I was initially disappointed that you cant use the LCD and viewfinder at the same time but found that the viewfinder is far better IMO than the LCD and also allows x2 enlargement when using the focus ring and used with peaking it's so easy to get the focus spot on (in Manual mode). I dont use digital zoom, I thought it would be great to have the extra length but optimal sharpness is at the far end of the optical zoom and starts to degrade after that point. Regarding the slow motion, when you choose the 0.5 option you have to set to MP4 not AVCHD wich may be the reason one of the comments here didnt have success following your instructions. Havent found 0.4 or 0.8 in the menu options, might be different on UK PAL model? Just been filming garden birds feeding at 0.5 making it really enjoyable to watch. Much more to learn ............
Hi Gus Question for you. I'm looking at this camera to shoot RUclips Videos on, if I record in the MP4 format are those files easy to transfer to Ipad Pro? I wish to edit them in lumafusion hoping you've had some experience.

Thank you Sam, glad to hear you have received yours. I’m not sure if you can load picture profiles. The XA11 does have different looks you can pick from, wouldn’t be as good as an actual picture profile but it’s pretty good.
Gus no matter what i do The set frame rate and fast and slow motion option is greyed out i can't access it to change it please help my settings look the same on your screen
does screen on xa11 flips backwards? Can you actually record yourself and watch it on the screen? Is it worth buying this camera or something else for the same money is better?
repairvehicle you can flip the screen and be able to see yourself while filming. It depends what you are using it for, for me, this is the camera I shoot the most with for review videos or any sit down videos in the studio. What were you think about using it for?
Weezy G. Thank you! The XA11 does have a different sensor and a 20X zoom, zebra lines to know if you are over exposed, and focus peaking. If these features are important to you, I’d say it would be a good upgrade.

Whats the max Framerate of this cam? My Gopro can do 240fps for example so i can slow down 10 times and be at 24fps

Gus DaCosta , for RUclips primary. Also, for some personal video recording.
repairvehicle I’d recommend if you are not going to vlog or take pictures. 👍
