Just an FYI, Marine Corps CFT is done wearing their Boots and Uts. Having PT gear on is an advantage for those who do.
Done for fun. Not an actual test
@@BobGeanis that’s why he said “FYI” he didn’t say this isn’t how the test is done
When I was stationed with a guard company in Hawaii at a naval base long ago we used to do the Marine Combat Fitness test 3 mile run in utilitys, combat boots, light marching pack, cartridge belt with two filled canteens, and a M14. It wasn’t that difficult. It was all mind over matter.
Watch this 100 km run by Indian para sf..
ruclips.net/video/oG6rSdYVZQw/видео.html
Just an FYI, picking a "Intel analyst" to run a pt test for comp is an advantage lol
Something you don't see in the navy are sailors in shape. Good job Niko for representing the navy
Yeah I think every branch should undergo the same physical fitness standards as the Marines
@@sds6303not really depending on what task any branch should undergo specific training that best optimal training routine
@@sds6303 all of these tests have been changed in the last decade or w/e probably because the old tests are boring if nothing else. I think Nico should have had a separate course b/c I'm sure it was chewed up by the army guy. 800 meter is a difficult run and it's even more difficult if you don't pace it right. I wouldn't expect anyone not used to track and field being able to gauge it to maximize speed/energy on the first run.
They should've asked a Navy corpsman.
@MyGodIsBest like getting out of a sinking ship I'm sure is a piece of cake under all circumstances.
Impromptu wrestling match in the mud. How provocative 😂 and that marine fully went with it and started refing 😂
Honestly should be part of real test because when you close with enemy, they may try to wrestle you or struggle when you put the cable ties on them.
Its so refreshing to see this interaction between the Branches. It's different from the typical branch bashing we all dished out to each other. Lol Id love to see more like this! Very well done!
trick with ammo can lifts is to use ur legs to jump up, its wierd at first but helps out a lot
That's cheating
After I left the Army, I ended up setting a record with my Fire Department's CPAT test at 7 minutes and 13 seconds... it's supposedly the hardest physical aptitude test you can take as a civilian. You guys should do a video withbthe CPAT test. I'm curious to see how much better we've gotten over the years.
That would be interesting
Those are the most supportive Marines I've ever seen in one of these test videos
Watching the movement under fire brought back flashbacks and the fear of failure! Hardest part was the buddy drag and carry, especially if he's heavier than you. And by the time you get to ammo cans, you are already so short of breath that you'll be wanting to just drop to the ground.
Haha when the Army guy was doing the ammo can lift I caught myself saying "Zero, Zero, Zero, Zero....".
They really failed THE CFT lol
Bro them proctors def aren’t real s-3 mine woulda said 0 every day of the week
Right
I mean they did get a pog to do this 😂
Nice work Liam, especially for a 35F. That sprint isn't as hard as the ones you did in Huachuca I hope!
Awesome job guys. Good work on both of you.
Definitely root for both guys. They were awesome 👌 👏 congratulations
Good times bro, love being a part of your videos!
Thanks man! Always a good time when you're there!
Yo Austin, just wanted to say it’s dope seeing you go from the watch on chucky V to where you are today. Super proud of you man!
Dude I'm not going to lie... watching niko breathless after the 880... bro brought back memories.
Bring Liam back for more vids. Man absolutely crushed it.
He has a hell of alot of heart. And I respect that.
Ya forsure. Very impressive
He in better shape than 80% of today’s Sailors 😅
Respect for the 2 min under fire and the 102 AL; not as easy as it looks
Most of their Ammo can lifts should not have counted
Dang, this was so fun to watch. Keep up the good work bro!
thank you!
Half of nikos ammo can lifts didn’t even count. Rarely went below the chin. Hell of a job to both.GO ARMY💪
🎺🥁For where e’er we go,
You will always know
That the Army goes rolling along
Hardly any of army or navys counted. Army never fully extended his arms
An 880 in boots is a hell of a difference than them go fasters. And these guys actually have the same uniform equivalent. I dont understand why they didnt just show up and take their tops off to do the test🤦🏻♂️
Looking good Austen keep up with good job ❤
That ending 😂 pure awesomeness
LOL!! Had to rewind for Austen's face when they started wrestling
SANTA ANA TAPPING IN. MUCH LOVE MAN
i like how the marines are so into it
That’s every pt session, we always root eachother on, it’s why I hate but love pt at the same time lol
0:15: The 880-meter sprint is the first event of the Marine CFT, testing endurance and speed.
1:13: Liam, an Army intelligence analyst, is determined to win the event.
1:25: Despite their friendly nature, there is some friendly competition between Liam and Nico.
5:01: Participant 1 reached a score of 102 in 2 minutes.
5:36: Participant 2 is expected to reach at least 100.
5:49: Participant 2 reached a score of 30 in 30 seconds.
9:11: The person completes the workout in two minutes and four seconds.
9:46: The person struggles during the workout but keeps pushing through.
10:20: The person finishes the workout with a good time and is encouraged to keep going.
Recap by Tammy AI
the cft is done in boots and utes for the 880 and slicks for the muf, not pts
I love your videos you should do the more to compete against Navy, Air Force military, and Army all of them together❤❤
Good job to both of military brothers
💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽Rooting for the Army💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I love this shyt ! Str8 Fire 🔥
Both their 880s would’ve been 3:30+ if they wore boots and utes
I also ran it in RAT boots, big difference go throw those bad boys on and give the CFT A try , I still had a 300 score with time to spare, If I'm not mistaken I ran a 1:47 for manuever under fire.
Damn, you ran it in rats too? Respect brother
They were pillow blocks
@@thatguymike131 lmao rite. You'd know.
@Chockyglocky 0 yea. Never had a 300 PFT though. Always maxed pull-ups and sit ups, run I could never get under about 18:40 lol
@Chockyglocky 0 wish I would've went Recon when I was in. Oh well.
To end on a wrestling match was hilarious and awesome
I remember for our CFT’s we’d try to dump out the sand when they wouldn’t look lol, good times
😎 Respect is Earned, not Demand. 👑
Ya boy Nikko got the gains
Man bringing back on how easy and simple it looks but man it’s just a suck fest to do. Ammo cans destroy shoulders & that Maneuver Under Fire just everything hurts after
W camera mane fo sure
Let’s see them do the Marine Corps crucible lol. 3 days of absolute Hell lol.
"The department of the navy crucible"
That would be cool to see grappling matches against other branches
Let’s go army way to represent
That’s crazy I worked with Niko here in Coronado
Get an 11B on here for this one
the "that's what she said" got me lmao
You should try the Georgia State Trooper cadet program and do the mobile field force training they do
Austen Alexander's Humour is Next level 😂
Nice job, guys! Now let's see a Marine do the ACFT 🤘🏼🔥
Would be cake even the fattest of out of shape marines do better then the army guy did
This was lowkey hard to watch but they did good for their first time tho
Take a good marine, send him to Army Airborne School, then to Army Ranger School, now you have an elite marine.
Knew one. SSGT. William R. “Bobby” Hill
Recon Marine, Parris Island DI, Great Marine!
Right now you make a point for sure. The army has gone woke. This is very sad. Sure hope this will change. Overall, the training for basic infantry, empathize physical strength and endurance. However, this is weakened as well. Advanced training is for the building of skills, advanced weapons, navigation, communication. Now, the special forces training ( Green Beret ), has a selection process that determines which candidate has the psychological make-up that suites the missions a green beret will perform. During this phase a psychologist will carefully observe each man and determine the ones that will be selected for acceptance into special forces training. In general having brains and bronze with great people skills and moral fiber, communication ability is a good sign a person might be selected.
@@ralphriffle1126 How is this a bad thing, having a psychologist evaluate candidates? And did you mean brains and brawn?
When did you serve?
@@ludosad621 the mission requirements are such that normal mentally will not work. A person with above average skills, self actualized, able to learn new languages, able to demonstrate the skills to befriend, lead, educate people from all levels of human existence. He must be able to carry out his mission regardless of extreme conditions, for extended long periods of time. He must live among the people he is working with, earn their respect and trust, he must become one of them. That is the mission of the Green Beret
@@ralphriffle1126I think I misread at first, and for some reason thought you were implying a psych-eval was a bad thing for the SF types. My mistake!
When u put a Clerk instead of a Infantry related MOS to do extra PT really smart Marine keep those crayons coming😂
This is pretty awesome
Nico is really good and fit esp when putting 110% in this
I get out of breath watching them do this 😂
Wow amazing military marine corps
Im enlisting into the Army Monday, wish me luck❤
Awesome Video Bro.
That MUF score was really good
They were in pt attire so ya it should be good 😂
The CFT is easier to score a perfect score than the PFT but it takes a lot more mental toughness
Ha! The wrestling match wasnt even planned and the marines were ready! Austin didn't even close out properly HAHA! Austin was like well that happened quickly!
These boys be running my mile splits
This looks fun
I felt the burn🔥
navy guy is the definition of a sleeper build
"Put those big legs to use!" killed me 😂😂
First the CFT is completed in boots and utilities. Second the two participants did next to no ammo can lifts correctly. Arms are to lockout. One cannot wear a long sleeve shirt.
This makes me happy always getting 300 CFT in boots/uts. Good to know not just everybody can do it haha
Love this
Army guy is the big dog here. Raw endurance and stamina.
“If you didn’t puke, you didn’t put out.”
This is 🔥
Awesome 🇺🇸
CFT is actually super easy. Hardest part is the Movement to Contact. With boots on each step feels like you are lifting a 40lb weight
The NAVY guy lost because he slipped in the WATER?? DaMN!!! Too Bad #TeamLiam Sends there regards!!
I really respect the marines and can definitely say they are indeed the most hardcore branch fs
Go Army
Nice job chief,nico
Why are they not in boots and Uts? That’s how the CFT is conducted
What base is that? Looks awesome. I was never stationed there ☹. Did 13 years in the infantry before being medically retired from falling hasty 6 (JWTC e-course for those that know).
Dude said lockout to the navy guy. When doing the ammo lift 😅. Army guy was not locking out for a lot of those reps
Great video
E4 Mafia representing for Army
Hey guys, as you do physical tests from all over the world, I would really love for you try the Indian Army Physical Fitness Test that's conducted for the recruitment that would be really good video I think. Hope you do this video guys. You can also do the indian navy tests they are also very competitive. Love from India.
No more ammo can runs at the end? Or they replaced them with kettle bells ?
Neither did a single clean ammo can lift
I’m 7041/ S-3 in the Marines we supervise the CFT/PFT the ammo cans are supposed to be 30 pounds. But awesome video tho
Ya i was like no it’s 35 lbs always has been. Went and looked it up and it says 30lbs everywhere. Is this some sort of myth that just stuck with many marines to do 35lbs? I still max out but it’s interesting as I’ve always done 35lbs
😂😂😂😂 The Short guy thinks he perfect than told guy. It’s a competition
The ending 😂😭
Sprinting two laps is really extreme
Good job
To make this fair they gotta pick out soldiers who can max out their branch acft to try out other branch acft.
Pretty sure NO branch is gonna send their creamiest puffs to another branch's CFT.
I had to do mine in boots and Uts at boot camp. The run was a nightmare and I was scared about my final one because if you fail you'll get drop a week back. Passed with a 3rd class. Going to get better because that's what the Marines is about.
3rd class is trash
Do u have to do the things shown in this video? Is this part of bootcamp?
Yes
@@inbaconwetrust1739the test in this video is done annually. First time would be in boot camp
A lot of comments about Army and Navy not wearing boots. Is there a branch policy not allowing wearing of boots and cams for fitness tests?
I spent a lot of time training and working with US Marines whilst I was in the Australian Defence Force and the marines would always run in boots, officially OHS/Military policy wouldn’t allow us to run in boots. We could wear the can’t see me jym jams but weren’t allowed to wear boots for runs, we tried to when we could. But our standard physical fitness test was PT gear. I always admired the USMC for doing fitness tests that required wearing boots as it was relevant to a combat fitness test.
Even when attempting SF selection those activities deemed to be a run were done in full cams, battle gear and rifle but still wearing runners. Only those activities that weren’t running activities we wore boots. Now that didn’t mean they didn’t say an activity was a timed 3.2km(2mile) event in boots and had us wearing boots but we chose to run they couldn’t force it.
For this specific fitness test, it is absolutely a requirement.
No gear for the Teufel Hunden? Also, Doc has his Marines watching his back.
So they gotta do it in boots and utilities for the full experience
Wait wait wait wait a minute. I can excuse the not wearing full uniform and boots because they maybe didnt get told, but using two tiny kettlebells instead of the 2 Ammo cans that are supposed to be used? Cmon lol those were like at most 15 lbs, meaning they carrying 40 lbs than needed
I want to join the Marines but I am a Nigerian
It will work out by God's grace
Thank you for this video Austen 🥰
I am a Marine and I know a Sergeant from Nigeria!
I knew more than one guy I served with while I was active who came to the US and got their citizenship fr enlisting.
You should reach out and figure out if you've got options!
Should be boots and utes and two 35 lb ammo cans for the MUF so would of probably knocked them both 20-30 points but overall great to see.
I’d be more interested to see it done in the proper uniform, I ran a 2:44 880 in boots and utes and it was hell, their scores are good but I’d be interested to see their scores with MARINE CORPS boots on
or, y'know, make a youtube video
I do this everyday with my welder n my tools😂 sounds like fun. Ima try this
What happened to ammo cans being 40 ibs?
