Leaving 27th may, running is going to be the most challenging for me!
Good luck man.
19 days til basic. Been a long journey to this point. This video couldn't have dropped at a better time. Sit-ups are my biggest weakness followed by running. Appreciate all this
Also the sheets show the age group I'm not in but that's ok. I'll push harder
Sorry I must’ve skipped over one age group. Good luck on your military journey! I’m glad to hear you found this video helpful!
bro me too lol. 20 days exact from now.
@@isaacaiz5436i just signed my contract Monday, I’m waiting for a ship date ! What job you going into ?
I’m air national guard and I haven’t gotten dates yet💀 No one in my student flight chose propulsion so I guess I’m just kinda waiting😅
i’m leaving this february and i had no idea you didn’t need to do full sit-ups. thank you for the tips❤
I was supposed to leave 2/9 but was given notice I leave next week
me too!
OMG ME TOO! when are you leaving?
@@cattleyasturies292i just signed my contract on Monday! When you leaving? What job you get into ?
Thanks for the tips man, I'm trying to join the airforce right now and needed help with pushups since those are what I'm terrible at
You got this!
This was amazingly helpful
I leave this May, Ill be using this guide between now and then. Looking forward to BMT, thanks for the video!
Good luck on your military journey!
Same here! I leave in May!
Thank you for this bro. This is really going to help me out at bmt. I like the fact you showed us a diagram for the age and times you need to pass cause I'm a little older than most people at bmt. Thanks a lot! 😊
And what if you have a past knee injury you don't want to reinjured. Can you do short runs?
At bmt you'll have to do the full 1.5 mile. Since you've had past injuries its important to train hard but also listen to your body. Do not ignore the signs your body will give you. What helps with knee injuries is strengthening the muscles surrounding your knee.
thank you for the tips, very helpful 🤙🏽 7 days away from BMT
Good luck!!
Leaving March 5th🎉 Thanks for prepare video!
Good luck!!
@@TheWealthyWarrior_ Thank you!

@@quintongutierrez3341 Im shipping out from North Carolina

@@vixcinity80 you’ll be home before you know it. It’ll be a short tech school from what I’ve been told
Damn I should've gone af long time ago. Army we had to go all the way up to knees 15 yrs ago
Came from your TikTok lives!
Aye! That’s awesome, I appreciate it! 🙌
Homie let me see you do the officer TACP IFT or STOP/CRO IFT lol. Easy right?
Really appreciate the video! I have 39 days till bmt and I’ve been training upwards of two months now. Not a lot of people go into depth about this part of bmt, and im glad I found someone that meets my needs.
I noticed you stated that you got a 99 on the test. I was wondering what you started out with, like your push ups sit ups and run time. I’m really trying to get Warhawk and I don’t know how much I will be able to improve while I’m in bmt.
Right now my scores are:
Push ups: 59
Sit ups: 50
1.5 mile: 8:59
I’m also wondering how common it is for people to achieve Warhawk as I might also try to go for top male PT
There are videos on my page where I film my practice test. Check them out! My form and running just got better through repetition. I think during BMT I had a motivational boost to just be the best in the flight and I was willing to run till failure.
Warhawk award did not exist when I went through, they unfortunately took it away before I got there. I don’t know if they brought it back or not
@@TheWealthyWarrior_ Any tips on running? I suck at it but Im starting to run longer and longer. I’m ab 25% BMI but I’m way better at sit-ups than anything
I can crush pushups and situps. My weekness is running. Ive been doing a lot of jump rope for cardio so hopefully that will help me.
Jump roping is a smart idea, but try implementing timed running for 30 mins
@TheWealthyWarrior_ is there a particular method you can suggest to Excell in the running portion of the test?
Nice vid, I’ve been destroying this PT test since 2014. #warhawkgang
There’s a new version of the PT test right? Could you go over those ?
Yes I will, but it’s not available to you if you’re going to BMT (just fyi)
I can’t do more than 5
What should I do?
Are sit ups done on mats? There’s a difference between doing them on hardwood/concrete vs a gym mat. Hard ground puts pressure on my spine. I can get up to 80 otherwise
It’s done on a track
The push up, can I place my hand anywhere? Like can I do wideer ones?
Yes you can
67 push-ups in a minute is impossible!
Is the test only push ups, sit ups , and running? I had a shoulder dislocated in the past I just trynna see if I will be doing extreme shoulder work?
I think they added new ones you can pick from
Hand release pushups/ push-ups
Sit-ups/plank/somthing else I forgot
1.5 mile/ shuttle run
I go to the gym to run and only run for 20 minutes is that good? or at least how many minutes should I be running to pass my pt running portion?
Running for 20 mins is plenty! 2-3 times per week is plenty. Just make sure you can pass the PT Test for your age!
Is the running part of the test about speed or do you pass as long as you complete the 1.5 mile?
Speed. The faster you complete it, the more points you will gain.
For the sit ups, you don't need to go all the way back down?
going all the way down is harder and slower, even if its easy for you to do. I believe its like that in the test so you can get the required reps in the time. I pass the number of reps going all the way down just incase though.
I don’t know why but I can’t do a push up properly. My butt is up in the air. 😢
Focus on tightening your core and but and that should help you with your form
Do u need to do swimming test in airforce??
There’s no swimming! Unless you go special warfare
i leave feb 6 !
me too!
@@cattleyasturies292 ayyy! see ya there
Same

Good luck to you!! I’m outta here on the 13th
Did they drop the hamr run?
The hamr run is new and probably because it's new you can choose. You can choose between the 1.5 mile or the hamr
when i was in bmt you weren't allowed to choose the new variations . but since im operational now , i get to choose
@@lolade9856my friend js finished bmt a few months ago and she said they weren’t able to choose , so this is new ?
@@amarag3283the hamr run has been around for a couple of years. Maybe a little longer. They just don't let you do the "alternate" events in basic. You have to do the pushups, situps and 1.5 mile run while at basic. Once you're passed basic and tech school, then you can choose the events you want to do.
Step one: be able to do an pushup.
Step two: two working legs, you'll need them to walk the mile.
Step three: make sure you have a comfortable chair for the sit-down portion of the test.
Step four: warm your thumbs up so you can max out your typing score while bragging to your buddy in the army about how good your food was last night.
Congratulations on passing!
The Air Force has a PT test? I thought they just rode bikes and walked the fence lines at night to pick up trash around Lackland/Kelly(Medina)!
-Cheers! From a former sailor.
The most overweight and out of shape military branch is your Navy! Get off your high horse, your standards for enlistment is so low, taking non high school grads, very elite!
How to destroy airforce pt test? 😅😂 wait....come on....that's a funny story. I already pass Army Ranger PT test.
