I've had them both for several months and this is what I think.
Have a look.

Green Nectar…I love it.
Thank you for this review sir. I just bought a 2019 1794 4x4 trd off-road, and was thinking about getting the trd dual exhaust and cold air intake. However, after watching your review I decided to stay with stock. Your review answered my questions...thank you!
Glad to help. Congrats on the new truck and thanks for watching 👍
1794 got off road?
Honest.
It is the passenger side that drops lower. That is just due to age and exposure to the elements that cause the original hanger to stretch. When you buy the TRD Dual Exhaust you receive a brand new rubber hanger for the driver side. You have to remember to ask for a second one to go on the passenger side. That will even out the appearance of hanging level.
Makes sense to me👍
Besides the sound, don't expect any power gains. Even if you put leaf blower straight into intake pipe, it will still not increase any power. Most of the time is the sound giving that placebo effect!
Yup! You are dead on👍
Then why is my old 5.0 so weak?
What mods can I do for a power gain
Super charge it😁
My 2014 has single exhaust.
Trd exhaust sounds great but I'm concerned about long trips and hearing the exhaust the entire trip.
Depends on your taste. I love mine. 👍
What is your suspension set up and will suspension void warranty? Thanks for the great videos
I have a 3/1 Ready Lift. If there’s a failure and it can be attributed to the lift, then that part wouldn’t be covered. However, if a mirror falls off (nothing to do with the lift) it would be covered. 👍
I was gunna say you really dont hear the TRD exhaust too much in the cab at cruising speeds - only when you step into it - intake now is a different story
it Drones and i took mine off!
I miss you having a tundra 😢
I don’t think its worth the $ considering there are times its nice to b quiet and in stealth mode. iL stick with my 381 HP single exhaust
hello
It’s pretty tame regarding sound. Just right IMO👍
I agree Mark. I have the TRD exhaust on my Tundra and regret the purchase for the most part. There are days I love it and then days I don't want to hear it. I think everyone hears drone differently. I would never say this exhaust is just a small step louder than the stock exhaust as he said here. Again everyone hears things differently. To me you know it's under there. Just my opinion. I really was here for the CAI review.
Been looking for this trd cold air intake can you please send me the part #. And where did you buy it?
I got mine from Sparks Parts. I do not recall the part number, but it should be on the channel if you search for the install video👍
I was considering buying that TRD Air Intake Exhaust Package too. Other than looks and sounds I guess it doesn’t give any additional performance or have any added benefit to MPG . I’ll stay with stock. I
Yup, it adds some bling under the hood and gives a little whir when you get on it. Other than that, no great benefit from my experience 🤔
Does the trd intake have that carbon mesh filter built into the lid?
It may? I don’t recall TBH🤔
@@RobMotive I’m curious to know if I should just do an airbox mod and drop in a more free flowing filter.
Depends on what you’re trying to achieve I suppose. I don’t have any issue with the current setup👍
I definitely think the intake and exhaust are worth it. Love the sound notes they give. Sooooo now the elephant in the room! Since you don’t have a vehicle now are you changing he channel to shoes that make your gear Throbb? 😂😂😂
Lol! Shoes and sleeveless shirts!! Get em’ now over at Tee Spring!!! www.teespring.com/throbbnation-tee-s-and-tanks
😁
H E double hockey sticks, YES they are both worth it! 😂👍
Amen brother!! Yes indeed!!👍
what kind of gas u are using? is your gas cap said E85?
I use premium unleaded. Octane rating of 91.
thanks for your reply.
So what vehicle(s) do you have to drive at home in Ohio now?
At the moment a Civic Sport Hatch Touring. However, we leave soon for Texas👍
I have a 2019 Tundra trd pro. Is this cold air intake the one that comes stock with my truck? Because mine looks different, it’s not red. I can’t find anybody to confirm that it’s an upgrade to the trd pro or it’s for an upgrade to the regular base model Tundras and it just looks different?
The only difference between this and stock is a larger air accelerator. Whether or not that makes any difference is a hotly debated topic🤔
RobMotive thank you!
Glad that you are still enjoying your upgrades on the truck.
Yup! I like them both. More to come😁
Really been enjoying your videos lately. Keep up the good work!!
Thanks Jon! I appreciate that👍
Great job
Does the duel exhaust give you more power..
Might add a horse or two👍
Yes yes yes just for the cool factor. I would put them both on just for looks. Tundra +TRD = yes please
Yup! I agree👍
do these mods increase gas mileage and low end torque. or do i lose both at the cost of sound or drone?
From my experience they do not. I wouldn’t say you loose them either though .
it sounds good when you do video better than with the factory exhaust. i never did a cold air intake but mopar makes a cool one.
Yup. There’s definitely a deeper grumble. I do like it👍
How much faster is it how much hp you get out of it
That’s a big negative to both😬
RobMotive so you don’t get any power
Not in my experience.
You got what you wanted and it looks good, Chrome. Good video. If you want to get the most out of your performance parts you need to get it tuned after installing. At a shop that knows and is certified in what they're doing on a dyno. Sometimes after installing parts, even factory you can lose fuel mileage and performance.
They’ll be more coming for the Tundra..stay tuned😁
@@RobMotive ,same throb time, same throb channel ! ! ! I will stay tuned in to see what happens next.
Lol!! “I’m Throbb Man”...
@@RobMotive Cue the onomatopoeia!! BAM!!
What is this foreign language you speak??
The exhaust sounds nice but for the money it doesn't seem worth it. No performance change at all, just a bit nicer noise but for 2k.... no thanks.
Can’t disagree. It’s not cheap!😬
Throb Nation
The intake totally worth it the exhaust I don't know it's not bad still a little too quiet for my liking you should have went with a borla atak exhaust but that's just me. By the way Rob sorry I missed your live stream unfortunately I came down with a bad case of the head cold so I'm a little loopy LOL.
Hey Dan. A little throatier Exhaust would be good, but I’m happy with the TRD exhaust👍. Hope you feel better!!
Grab bar time now
Haven’t decided on that? Concerned it might actually be in the way??
ThrobbNation I use mine all the time. It disappears but adding it you do take looks at it for a few days
The vehicles I’ve owned that had the best sound were;
1970 and 1980 Pontiac T/A
1974 Plymouth Satélite w/440 6pk
And a 1976 Corvette without cats 2.5” H pipes with 1982 Corvette mufflers
However I’d like my TRD Exhaust even better if it was an H prior The the glass pack that take the place of the OEM muffler.
I could go for just a bit more sound. The Carvan was spot on for me 😁
ThrobbNation I’m content with my TRD, however I’m considering taking it in and have an H pipe strategically located that will increase torque by balancing the back pressure of both engine banks and not only improves the torque but it also cancels out “The Drone”
or that RRRRrrrrrrrrrr! Sound at wide open throttle.
Hmmm...how much added torque can be expected?
ThrobbNation back to stock, actually people are splitting hairs over the differences. They’re so minute it’s negligible.
Just like the difference between a 308 or 3006 match 168 grain hpbt (hollow point boat tail)
Someone in my neighborhood has a similar glass pack setup on his Tundra and as a truck enthusiast I love it. As his neighbor and corner house not so much haha. I know everytime he drives past my house. Very distinct, and very loud. Sounds pretty good though
Being a chrome hater also, can I ask why you got the chrome tipped TRD exhaust instead of black? When I build the 2019 Tundras (purchase at some point..) you can choose either and I’m not sure if they’ve always had the black one.
That’s the thing. I couldn’t get black. I’ll be painting them soon. I’ve painted tips before so it should be pretty easy👍
Ok, thanks- must be a new option then. Are they just changeable tips that tighten with set screws, where you could get black ones?
Unfortunately they’re not. They are welded on.
