What about the the TRD emblem!? That’s +20HP!
Truth! I was going to by a TRD CAI then I did some research. A SR5 already has a stock CAI. In fact it is a true CAI. Where most after market CAI seal a box in the engine compartment. Toyota’s filter housing draws air from the fender compartment. I purchased the air flow accelerator from my local Toyota dealer and a K&N air filter. It is easy to install, but removing the filter housing is a must. Make sure and save the seal from the paper filter. Push the fluted end all the way into the fender. The ridge that is right of the fluted end has to be pushed in or it will not seal properly. Total cost $62.
J Jims J Jims Just checked today, and I can confirm my 2008 Tundra Crewmax SR5 has the stock CAI and draws air from the fender compartment
Love the honesty. I did notice they were pretty much the same part. Stock vs TRD with the biggest difference being the air filter. I switched to a k&n air filter as I did in all my cars in the past and have great results. I just save the paper filter and toss it in when I clean the k&n until it’s ready to go.
Thanks I just did this to my 2016 scion tc after watching this video and then researched and found a forum on the tc as well about the same thing . Bought the trd flow accelerator and bought the trd air box for the looks. I already had the aem performance filter. And man it worked. I can feel the difference in performance and sounds great and spent around 130 bucks instead of 400. Thank you man!
Anytime!
I installed the air flow accelerator today with k&n filter. Definitely better throttle response but not difference with sound. With shipping only spent 16 bucks so can't complain.
My used ‘17 Limited CM came with the TRD intake and TRD duel exhaust. I absolutely love it. Just bought it ONLY 23k miles!
Congrats on the new truck. Did you purchase it in your hometown of Yuma, Arizona? 😁
Hey Tundra Dude, Wes here again. I want to say thanks for this video. I really wanted to put a cold air intake on, but just couldn't justify paying $400 for the Whole TRD set up. Thats the way I am, I think it comes from growing up on a dairy farm, when we always looked for the cheapest way to do things. Thays why I wont buy the TRD dual exhaust set up, I will piece it together my way lol. So yes I ordered the $15 air intake accelerator and the $65 air filter. I cant wait to hear it with the peddle commander hooked up. The commander will get it to really talking. Thanks
I just bought the K&N filter for my stock air box. Blew compressed air through a brand stock air filter and the brand new K&N and could feel the big difference in the less restricted airflow.
+Jim Underwood enjoy it!
Understand that your "less restricted airflow" means less filtration as well. Engine oil silica levels are always higher when running these oiled filter media. That's backed up by thousands of miles of Blackstone Labs oil analyses.
Further, simply bolting on an intake with a different flow design or a filter with a different media doesn't do SQUAT to change horsepower, gas mileage, throttle response or anything else. Period. Air STILL has to flow through the throttle body, through the intake runners, through the cylinders, through the exhaust manifolds/headers, through the catalytic converters, through the muffler, and through the rest of the exhaust piping. You can attach a garden hose to a fire hose but it isn't going to increase the flow through the garden hose.
Further, the Toyota ECU's A/F mixture and timing maps are going to control air flow. It reads data from its suite of sensors and adjusts back to programmed equilibrium. You simply can't cheat the ECU with bolt on components.
These "cold air intakes" are just a way to separate you from your money. Advice? Put it aside for gas.
Don't believe me? Go here, do a search for "cold air intakes", and start reading real world results: www.tundrasolutions.com/
well said..
Tried this on my toyota 4.7 motor with zero improvement.
Im going to try this mod. The stock air box and the plumbing actually have a built in oil catch can. I like the fact that this mod lets me keep it. Thanks
+Freedreaming let me know how it turns out!
yeah, it is something to think about, but I do like the "TRD" look! I still can't believe how much difference the swaybar changed the handling of my Crewmax!
+James Miyake the truck really should come with the sway bar, in my opinion of course. I agree with u about the TRD look
I know this is from 11 months ago but does the sway bar negatively affect the off road manners? I've heard that it does. While it is good for on road the off road driving can cause problems like debris getting stuck and some suspension travel issues. That is only what I've read aka anecdotal.
+trainNGain TT if you do extensive off roading, i would avoid the sway bar. It interferes with rear articulation, and yes, i could see a rock getting stuck in there or wcs ripping it off
Get a Procomp lift and forget the sway bar
A K&N inside the stock air box is best option. There’s a group that tests odd things on a chassis dyno, they found that K&N or similar filter inside stock air box produces most hp and it’s really only a minimal gain,
Again, great video! I bought just the filter and air flow and it works perfectly fine with my 2014 SR Tundra! Better fuel mileage as well. I'm getting 10-20 miles more each tank. A little more power/horsepower too. Highly recommend to save money
+dan vang haha Thats awesome! Im glad you like it
dan vang so you got better gas mileage out of It? Kool where did you order your parts from?
+Joe Caballero available at sparks parts! Promo code TundraDude34 🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼
I did this upgrade to my 2013 Sequoia, cost me a total of about 62 dollars. The TRD intake system costs best I've seen is about 375 dollars. and yes the air flow accelerator does not fit exactly the same, though there is a good seal on my car. As long as the tabs connect I believe this works fine as far as more power, I don't really know! Great Tip, thanks!
Best way to find out if this theory is correct is dyno the truck with trd cold air intake and with out. Then try the k & n filter with the stock air box amd the accelerator.
Another trick is to cut out the fabric filter media from the upper air box assembly, also...both resonators can be removed, cork the openings with just about anything, including spray paint can tops. You will need to reattach the fuel rail vacuum line, fittings found at Home Depot.
Which resonators do you mean?
I have a 2019 TRD sport crewmax ended up putting the accelerator and the trd air box cost was about 110.00 then ended up putting the AFE super stock tube along with it. It sounds great with the TRD exhaust and no annoying whistle.
@ C Parkerz: I've got a 2019 Tundra with the TRD package, could you provide the part numbers for the air flow accelerator, box, etc. My local Toyota parts department aren't too smart. Thanks man!
@@fawkesbox2591 part # PTR0334079 is the air flow accelerator should be about 15.00
By chance would you have the TRD Lid part number as well? And how was install with AFE’s tube to the lid? Easy?
@@adjames9474
Part # PTR0300140AA
And install was pretty easy but AFE ships a hose for the crankcase thats too short I just picked one up at the local auto parts store. Also be careful when seating top and bottom box those little plastic tabs are easy to break off believe me.
C Parkerz awesome thank you! And plastic tabs on the box for the clips or which tabs specifically?
12 Tacoma did same thing my accelerator cost 8 and 32 to ship it's for an 2011 I lined it up and kn filter went from23 to 27.3 on a 900 mile trip
The trd tubing that goes from the box to the throttle body is actually bigger on the box end but u can just tighten the clamp down more
I’ve had several cold air intakes on different vehicles, I don’t see any notable difference, there is the sound, but the overall gain is minimal at best, would suggest spending hard earned money on other items that have more effect on mpg, horsepower, or positive functionality jmo
Do you have any suggestions or recommendations from experience? Just bought the 2020 SR5 crewmax.
I am in the market for a 2017 Tundra Crew and while doing research I came across your channel and I find it very helpful. This vehicle will be a daily driver (yeah I know a little silly) mostly highway and I am looking for some ideas on how to get by with more gas millage.
+Chad D. Wilson thanks for watching! You can do the little things like road friendly tires, tonneau cover, maybe an intake and exhaust, drive slowly and keep the weight down lol. The 38 gallon tank will keep you out of the gas station a bit more. The best part about the Tundra is that it will last a very long time, which will save u money in the long run 👍🏼 When I do alot of highway driving, i usually hover around 18 mpg
I have a '15 Tundra DC 5.7L. For mileage (and hauling, and towing), I HIGHLY recommend the Michelin Defender LTX M/S LT285/65R18 123 (load E). Excellent road manners, phenomenal in the rain/light snow, best wear characteristics and warranty in the industry. On the higher end of the price range, but if considered on a per-mile basis, the best tires out there.
+remmy700p thanks for the info Remmy! 👍🏼
Hey!!! T.D.34...I took your advice in the video an went the cheaper route, I installed the air flow accelerator and the TRD filter only on my 2020 Tundra TRD Pro And I just love the sound that I hear coming from the inside of the truck an from my TRD mufflers it’s an awesome sound. All though I’m not hear any whizzing so that’s a plus....everything was so easy to install an i’m a happy camper. I would recommend going the cheaper route like Tundradude34 said an save some money!!! 😄 Thanks Tundradude34👍🏾
Awesome!
I’m a little late to the tundra game but I have a 2021 TRD pro. The very last year in that old school body style with the 5.7 V8❤❤❤ I think I’ll spend the money and get the whole TRD intake system. Plus it’s getting hard to find since the newer model came out .
Check out sparks parts!
thanks I been going back and forth with myself trying to figure out if I should spend the couple hundred bucks I'll do this instead. and my buddy works at toyota so I should get employee pricing 👍👍👍
+chet hout nothing wrong with saving a few bucks lol. Thanks for watching
Just won a bid on a slightly used trd intake on ebay for 211 shipped, but didn't know its close to stock. I didn't want a fipk open element filter.
i have just installed trd air flow accelerator only and the effect is noticeable
Tundra dude feel free to post a link to my channel. I made my video from yours as an idea after watching it. I went a little further with the side by side with parts old versus new as I unboxed and installed. Your right only filter is needed. I wouldn't even buy the "air accelerator"
+Wildeman 74 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Buy a the K&N cold air kit and an airaid throttle body spacer. I get 2 mpg more and best 400$ I ever spent
My stock 2010 air box has it already. wonder if they took it out for the new models? dunno.
Not sure
Just ordered the Air flow Accelerator !! Thanks for the video !
I have a 2017 tundra platinum and I’m scared if something messes up in I get one
Id rather buy the entire system. I am curious why the stillen cai won't fit the 07-13 tundras? I mean one little part we could work around or is it a major deal? Id really love to use that cai on my 08 tundra. I use "4.7" from the parts store air pumps and they work just great on my 5.7
You are right. But how do you get your hands on the modular tube that doesn't have the big baffle chambers on the back for faster flow to the throttle body?
At that point, you’d probably have to buy the whole TRD intake system
Truth is that CAI barely does anything. You only get a sound benefit with turbocharged cars. Better to save the money for something like a supercharger
Why not keep original air box then just from in a K&N air filter ?
+Asaf Farfar thats a fine option too. The full system is less restrictive though
TundraDude34 I figured as much. On my FJ it's only a K&N filter.
i just need the tube hose where i can buy it
can you pit the link of the products, thanks
This would be helpful
It these built power and added mpg the factory would already be doing it. The open designs are cheaper to manufacture too.
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks for the tip ..ordered one today from Toyota..since I have already the TRD filter for almost 2 years now.. CAN $29 + taxes..
+Johny Hansen everything is more expensive in Canada lol
You got that right !...
+Johny Hansen 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Thank you for the great videos, tips, and advice. 1st time tundra owner (2013 crewmax tss) and I love it! I'm not mechanically inclined and not ashamed to admit it,lol. could you offer a video on how the easiest way to replace the accelerator is, Please? or, if you know of a video showing this procedure, point me in the right direction. I really appreciate the help man!
+Kevin Smith thanks for watching! Do you mean the air intake flow accelerator?
TundraDude34
yes.
If I install the Trd Cold air intake can I still use a K&n filter instead of trd filter?
On your recent videos about the supercharger did you have to change air filters again and or a accelerator flow? Just wondering because I have a 2020 TRD pro and I have plans for a supercharger down the road not sure if I should just leave the airtake system alone if it’s going to be altered by the supercharger please let me know and thanks again Mark
When i put sport tune with super(94octane), dc becomes so agressive its scary. lol
I can imagine the feel putting blower on 2600kg double cab...its completely different truck.
sick ride but uncomfortable for too long compare to regular or mid settings like mine
Can you add a video on how to install the air accelerator on a 2016 Tacoma , also can you show us what the difference is on the inside of the intake , thanks
+Auggie Negrete i dont have a Tacoma to use as a point of reference unfortunately
TundraDude34 can you do it on your tundra then ? I would really appreciated if you can show us how to replace it , thanks in advance
+Auggie Negrete no problem
i love all of your videos on the air take system for the tundra there all awesome. i have a 2020 TRD PRO so should i just go the cheap route an do the air flow accelerator an the TRD filter or buy the whole kit?
I would buy the whole kit. Make it a pro that it is...😀 I have a 2020 trd pro myself
Does the trd cai come with the accelerator already, or is that another piece you buy seperate. Thanks for the great channel.
the trd intake system from toyota comes with everything needed, you don't need to buy anything extra I just bought one for my tundra .
What was the difference in performance?
What k and n filter?
I should use the same one for the box? Or the open one
Where can I find this TRD Airflow Accelerator? I called the dealer and they don't have it as an independent item. Only within the larger intake system.
+0morphine0 just google search
trdshop.carlocktoyotaoftupelo.com/index.php?p=cart
So after I installed the accelerator into the fender well, I noticed that there's a gap with the accelerator being pushed all the way through. Now is it better to leave it as is or put a piece of weather stripping or similar to close the air gap and make it airtight?
I have mine as is, with the gap.
Hey TundraDude, great videos, watched 'em all! I've got a 2016 CM TRD that I've put a TRD intake on recently. I had a pretty bad whistle with mine so I ordered the basket-free throttle body gasket that you did a video on. It seems it has just changed what range the whistle happens, but I still get a whistle, does yours still whistle as well? What else should I look at to get it to stop completely? The bigger question I wanted to ask you though is about how oily the TRD filter comes. I noticed that after driving about 1000mi with the new filter and stock basket gasket, when I went to remove it the basket had a good oil film on it (presumably from the excess air filter oil). I would have to believe that the MAF sensor probably has a good coating of oil on it at this point too. Do you think it would be a reasonable idea to pull the sensor out and spray it down with some cleaner? Also, do you happen to know, is the TRD intake tube a larger diameter than stock? I gave my stock one away and I can't double check now. Thanks for your time if you get a chance to respond, appreciate it!
+10 Gauge hey man, I appreciate you watching all the videos! For my truck, the whistle was completely gone after i changed the gasket. As far as the filter goes, mine was oily, but nothing crazy. If I were you, i would contact TRD and see if they will send you a replacement filter. Maybe the one you got ended up with too much oil somehow. Ive seen weirder things happen lol. I dont have my stock intake tube anymore either but im almost 100% the tube is the same diameter. The top part of the air box is larger then stock for more volume but everything else looks the same. Anyway, let me know how everything goes and thanks again for watching 👍🏼
do you think the tundra is going to have a diesel engine next year? I am in to diesels and I think the tundra would make a great mix with a diesel motor
+Joshua Mendiola Hey Josh, no definitely not next year. They scrapped the diesel idea back in 08 or 09 i believe. There is always a chance for a diesel tundra one day, but not in the foreseeable future. Thanks for watching
No. 2021 is the last year for the 5.7. Tundra is doing a twin turbo v6. And electric for 2022....
I can not locate the airflow accelerator anywhere, can someone post a link of where I can buy it?? I have a 2008 Tundra 5.7L engine
Email jamie at sparks parts dot com. Use promo code TundraDude34 to save 5% 👍🏼
Great thank you for app the info, it’s much appreciated
Anytime brother 👍🏼
Would I notice anything just buying the trd filter? And it's the same size as stock?
Do you happen to have the part number for the filter? I'm in Canada which I don't think makes a difference, but apparently it doesn't fit 🤷🏼♂️
+Cal Bailey what year is your Tundra?
I just bought 2013 crewmax 5.7 it says trd on bed but looks like i have a stock air filter box. Will what you are suggesting work. Or what other air intake mod can i do thanks for all suggestions
Hello TD34 I am new to this mod stuff have had a Tundra for only a year and a half. Not sure I get how to do this from the video although I understand the concept. I see where to place he airflow separator, does the air filter go inside the regular box, so that it looks stock when finished? AS I mentioned I am pretty much of a novice at this. Will this work for the regular Tundra(not TRD)? I have a 2010 4.6 V-8. I appreciate he time and effort that you put into the videos, really informative.
+Jim Miller Hi Jim! Yes sir, you remove the stock air inlet from the fender and add the trd air Accelerator and a TRD air filter. Im not sure if the 4.6 has the same air box as the 5.7. Most likely does though. You can google that or go to Toyota Parts Barn and see what they say. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the quick response. I think it is the same, My son-in-law has a TRD. So the TRD filter fits inside the box, then close the box back up and it looks stock like it did before?
+Jim Miller yea, basically by adding the trd air flow Accelerator and the filter, you are getting the performance of the TRD Intake without the looks
Thanks for your feedback.....I won't be looking at it anyway..LOL great videos thank you.
+Jim Miller anytime! Thanks for watching
Tundra dude. I have my Toyota dealer order the TRD square air filter for my 2015 platinum. When they went to install it into the factory black airbox, they said it was too big? The parts guy is going to double check the numbers, but have you heard of anyone else having this issue? Or do I need a new parts guy? Lol
+Cal Bailey i havent heard that issue. If u were to upgrade to a full TRD system, u still use the oem bottom part of the airbox. Maybe bring it somewhere else lol
Just installed the TRD Air Flow Accelerator today (12-24-2020) on my 2020 Tundra Platinum 4x4. Haven’t swapped out the air filter yet, still stock. Now let’s see if there’s any difference.
And big thanks for the tip on making sure the TRD part is fully inserted in the fender wall. If you don’t push it in further than it looks like it goes, the air box won’t line up correctly.
Update?
@@marshallhogan4165 Honestly, I haven’t been able to tell any difference after a month.
I been looking into the trd intake but I look at the dealership and they tend to sale the parts which is a bit cheaper.
If you want check out sparksparts.com and use Tundradude34 promo code to save 5%
hi, my small questions - i didn't get it - if you buy trd pro version - does it comes with accelerator and fancy red filter box(with TRD logo on it) and tubing - or it comes with like a regular (say SR5) - no accelerator, regular black box and tubing?
and what's about milage? have you noticed any changes after installing filter or the whole system (i didn't quite get what did you install finally)
tnx in advance! like your videos and i'm about to order 2017 white double cab trd pro next weekend)
+Dennis V Hey Dennis, thanks for watching! It comes with the regular black box and tubing, no accelerator. When you buy the TRD system, it comes with the accelerator, bigger upper air box with TRD written on it, TRD oiled air filter and tubing. I really saw mileage gains when on the highway but overall my mpg is up. It makes the engine a bit louder and also helps with throttle response. To avoid a potential whistle, I suggest you change out the honey comb throttle body gasket to the hollow one Toyota offers. You can find the part number for that on my "intake whistle" video.
Does the TRD CAI sound better during normal relaxed driving?
+callofdutyguy9 a bit of a deeper tone
Ok. Is having the modular tube make a difference in the sound. I have done the TRD Pro filter and air accelerator already. Noticed an not better throttle and mileage, but am looking for the growl that normally goes with it.
Mikey Doo! K&N makes a part (57-9036) which is basically just a tube with smoother airflow between the stock airbox and the throttle body. I think if you combine it with the TRD airflow accelerator and filter, you basically have the TRD CAI just without the red aesthetics.
Hmmm.... something to think about.
+Jack Maxfield Right? Just trying to help you guys out! 👍🏼
I have a 2008 Toyota Tundra with a K&N air intake and no longer have the original stock part. Is the TRD air intake legal in California?
It is CARB approved 👍🏼
Does anyone know if the modular intake tube on the TRD intake kit is the same length as the factory one with all the baffling chambers on it?
Do you really get better mpg's with an exhaust added on to the stock? I was thinking of getting the Dual Borla Exhaust
+Jay Man you get better throttle response, sound and a bit more hp, which in turn hurts your mpg because you always want to hear it 😂😂😂
Haha, heavy footed
I have already put K&N panel filters in my 2016 Tundra, if I go to TRD cone filter is it worth it ? Will it help the TRD exhaust ?
+glehman01 i would just keep working with what you got
Good advice.
I couldn't find the air flow part. Could you post a link?
I found it. Thanks
can i do this changes to my 2017 SR5 Tundra Crewmax with the regular black box intake? thank you Tundra dude awesome video!!
+Junior Perez shouldn't be a problem! Thanks for watching!
So dumb question if engine bay is hot. Is it possible to spray insulation rate for 500degrees inside or outside of box and intake tube to make air cooler to end heat transference
What are your thoughts on charcoal air filter delete?
In my opinion, not worth it. No proven results
it works well with injectors(15% more flow)catback and bullyD tune. Dyno doesnt lie:)
Not blower of coarse, but my tundra runs on regular for towing and has around 440 hp
towing gets to see only higher torque not hp because of rev regimes but when i go fishing or green light start i can feel it
How double cab picking up Mark knows,he has video
How you doing I have a question I have a 2017 tundra trd pro with the regular black box that already connects to hole in the fender. Is that the same thing as the trd accelerator? If not what's the difference and how do you install? I'm curious to do this with another filter. Sorry just a little confused
+Chris Cahuenas the one that comes on the truck isnt the Accelerator. The accelerator is rubber and the shape of It supposedly draw air more efficiently. To install, u have to remove the air intake. You plan on doing the air Accelerator and performance filter of full intake system upgrade?
TundraDude34 oh ok I see what you are saying now I understand what the piece does. Do you feel like it makes a difference? I was just thinking of putting the accelerator with a performance filter do you know if the Trd cone filter fits in the stock box? Not looking to spend so much on a aftermarket or trd cai if I can basically get the same with just doing those mods. Does it sound a little more aggressive if I do that mod?
+Chris Cahuenas the Trd Filter offered is actually the panel filter. Yes, it will add a bit of noise to the engine bay (nothing crazy)
The TRD filter is cone shaped in some videos? When did they switch to the panel filter? If that is the case I may just go with a K&N filter.
+J. Ko I believe they switched to Panel in 2013. Its so much easier to clean and replace IMO
Does this also work for the 2018 1794 edition? Just checked for a air flow accelerator but the part # only lists it up to 2017 models.
Is the airflow accelerator $14 at the dealer or somewhere else online? Thanks!
+Excel Anesthesia check at your local dealer. Cant be much more then that
Is adding the TRD intake to my 2019 4Runner SR5 worth it ?
Is there “air horn” they refer to the same as the airflow accelerator?
Michael Smith Yes the same thing most factory air boxes have had for decades.
For Tundra 2018 Limited 5.7 V8?
I have a 2017 Tacoma. Is it okay to just upgrade to the performance air intake alone?
+Sunit Patel as compared to what?
Upgrading the air intake or upgrading the airflow accelerator and filters.
+Sunit Patel if you have the means, get the whole system
What about for 3rd Gen Tacoma would this work also. Stock air box?
Yes it would work. I did this last week, easy installment. Get a Trd air flow accelerator and K&N
can you purchase the air flow accelerator??
+No Ma'am 979 yea, put in the part # i give at the end of the video into google search. Its like 15 bucks
Good deal ...keep the info coming !!!
Amazon has it
where can i find the red tube?
Contact sparks parts, i think u need the whole kit for it though
Can I do that to my 2018 Tundra TRD? Just by swapping those two pieces out? Does the air flow accelerator fit the OEM Air box? Your help will be greatly appreciated!
+Javier Sanchez the trd intake actually uses the oem bottom box, so the accelorator goes on that 👍🏼
So what effect does the TRD system have on the truck. Would this work on my 2007 Tundra?
+Josh Hoeve it adds some sound and helps with torque. The 07-13 Tundras had a bit of a different system. Check with a Toyota Advisor to see if the TRD Flow Accelerator would work in your 07. I think it will. Thanks for watching!
So when I was putting my cold air intake on I was looking at the air accelerator and thinking that won't do much. Reason is the air still needs to go through the same size hole in the fire wall giving it the same resistance as the stock channel. Defeating the purpose. ? ? ? . thanks
+Mitch Reive its more about the accelerators shape vs the stock connector.
You're exactly right Mitch. Aftermarket CAIs are only capable of doing one thing: separating you from your $$$.
Their "shape" having some sort of measurable improvement is ludicrous. If that were true, don't you think Toyota would have engineered it into the original design? After the EPA gas mileage mandates and CARB emissions control regulations? LOL!!
Do you have any comments about S & B filters just got one for my 2013 tundra have not opened it yet was considering pairing it with an American thunder flowmaster?
+Jonathan Bellows i never used one so im looking forward to what you have to say 🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼
Me too Jonathan Bellows. Let me know how it paired up together, thanks.
Plant looks like a weed leaf lol sorry good video though thanks for input and advise
Hahahah
is going to sound kind of ridiculous but can I do this on my 2012 Camry V6
+E.J Canastu im not sure what the Camry intake system looks like. Worst case scenario, u could just put in a high performance drop in filter
TundraDude34
it a little different but thanks anyways
+E.J Canastu anytime man, thanks for watching
Can I do it with my 2015 1794??
Thanks for the options
+Harbinger 8 anytime! 👍🏼
does a trd air filter fit in the stock box?
+Noah Vargas Yes it does. Ive never used one in my stock box but the k&n one fit fine.
+Noah Vargas if you are concerned, just ask a toyota tech online before purchasing 👍🏼
What’s the part number of airflow accelerator, looked on sparkparts & didn’t see anything mentioned about that part
PTR03-34079
Would this work for 2013 Toyota 4Runner Limited?
Sorry, im not sure
So you can use the air flow accelerator with the stock air box right?
Yea, part of the stock air box (bottom part where the air accelerator goes) is actually re-used when you buy the trd intake
Is it a clip or do you have a video that shows the part I need to transfer?
toyotaparts.sparkstoyota.com/install/PTR03-00140inst.pdf check out page 7 and 8 of these install instructions of the trd intake
Thank you very much for your help! Keep up the great content!
Put an Injen CAI and call it a day. I put them in every car I've had and have had zero issues, improved mpg and throttle and deep sound. And only $250
Where can I get the TRD airflow accelerator?
Amazon
great video !!!
+No Ma'am 979 thanks!
The red hose is cool as F 😉
No matter what you do any CAI will give you zero benefits except noise
What kind tree is that ????
+monsterwlf ????
