Made mine out of two blue Jean back pockets. Folded in half and glued the side and bottom together. Used Daisy stainless steel bb’s. Heavier than copper. Then glued the top to close. Forms to my projects better than a leather weight.
I make my craft weight bags with scraps of fabric and dry rice. They second as pin cushions. Will have to make one out of leather next (obviously not for use as a pin cushion). I’ve put a magnet in a leather bag before and used it to hold my pins as I take them out of my fabric while on the sewing machine. Works pretty good.
This way you font have to line up the edges perfectly or worry about the layers slipping while sewing you can just trim it to a perfect fit after stitching

You could make a funnel out of paper.
Can you make a video on how to make a stamp out for belts
What’s the purpose of the “backer” vs having two pieces the same size?
