I purchased this kit and it worked very well. I used 7 ounce bridle leather throughout except for pockets and used pigskin for liner. I would suggest attaching rings to gusset once sowed. My issues most likely was due to thickness of leather used for gusset. Otherwise went very well. I put a pocket across back to hide stitch lines for internal pocket. My wife also wanted the pocket. Anyway, it turned out good. One CHRISTmas project completed. It took me some time due to 1st bag and doing saddle stitch. Again, good product from Odin!!!
Hello! I watched the video with pleasure! Excellent presentation of the material, everything is clear and nothing more! I wish you success and prosperity! Health and goodness! Hello from Russia!
This looks great! I like how efficiently you work, too - like lining up pattern pieces so that one cut divides two pieces rather than each pattern piece being separated by space. Cumulatively that wastes so much leather. You've made a beautiful bag and I hope the owner enjoys it for a very long time.
Great video, I love to watch you craft leather. I'm going to attempt this bag for my wife. If it comes out anywhere close to the one you built , it will be amazing
My black workbench is covered in a 3/4” thick sheet of UHMW. It’s basically one big cutting and punch board. My other work is covered in HDPE. Both materials work great. HDPE is a bit easier to cut with normal tools.
Beautiful, the product and the video. I always wonder where to get this large metal ruler you are using at the beginning to make the hide straight. If you have a link many thanks !
Excuse me 🙏 😊 .. Does that liquid product that you put on the edges of the skin dry immediately after it is applied? !؟ And why do you rub the edges and You do the sanding process them after you put it on ?! What's the difference between a flat sewing machine and cylinder bed machines ?! And I wish you would give me the best brand for her .. thanks and I'm sorry for my many questions ?!
This is amazing! I am looking to start making purses, doing my research. My question is: do you need all this machinery to make purses, or can you do some parts of this manually with some tools?
I do sell acrylic templates for this bag, but have some PDF patterns yet. You can find the templates here - odinleathergoods.com/collections/acrylic-templates

Glad you enjoy it!

Beautiful purse! Great job on the beauty of the video. Enjoyable and relaxing!
Every step done beautifully. Masterful.
Beautiful work! Love the simple elegance of this piece.

How did the bag turn out?
Well done! That's some real quality workmanship and the video is well shot.
Wow, that was absolutely beautiful to watch!
Great video and the cross body purse looks great. Think I'll head over to your site for the patterns and give it a try.
Thank you for the very well done video!
Wow have you got it. Super nice work!!
I LOVE this purse. It appears you demolished your "mental block" for purses! Very beautiful ☺
Approx length of strap?
Found your channel a few months ago, instantly recognized the quality, and love the latest in depth videos. Love from Benbrook! (Fort Worth)
Also, completely epic beard!
Thanks bud!
I love your work, man. you are like the Bob Ross of leathercraft.
HAHAA I hear them jets. My son used to live over there, used to drive me nuts when I visited him.
you don't have pdf pattern !¡?
Hey Bro miss your Tuesday shop chats but nice to see a new video!
Great execution! Thanks for sharing.
does this pattern lend well to a softer garment leather aswell?
just gorgeous
just....WOW!
Where would I find the pliers you're using to crimp the seams?
Those edge crimping piers are from Amy Roake. You can find them lots of places, but I suggest bit.ly/2WSlS7G.
Perfect. I heard that. I felt the satisfaction
It's always great when the gusset lines up correctly. :)
heya. man, nice work. Whats the name of the white glue you use
Hello there, i love the presentation and the beautiful bag you created. Is there a link to purchase? Thank you
Very nice, Mr. Odin. Can you tell us what stitching machine you were using to sew the gussets together, please?
Love the bag, going to pick up the templates. Where do I find that snap closure? It looks different than the Loxx.
What type of surface is on your workstation? Is that stall mat or something?
My black workbench is covered in a 3/4” thick sheet of UHMW. It’s basically one big cutting and punch board. My other work is covered in HDPE. Both materials work great. HDPE is a bit easier to cut with normal tools.
Do you always match your shirt color with the leather edge color? :-)
Nice video. What ounce leather are you using for the bag?
Beautiful, the product and the video. I always wonder where to get this large metal ruler you are using at the beginning to make the hide straight. If you have a link many thanks !
Here's a link you can use amzn.to/3rRKA3z. You can also find them at your local Home Depot or Lowes.
Beautiful!
Thank you.
Bro that's a nice looking bag,
Thank you! I’m really happy with how well it came together.

I love the bag. Where do you get the clamps /Pliers when you crease leather onto the D Rings?
Here’s a link to find them www.rmleathersupply.com/products/amy-roke-leather-edge-clamp-pliers
@@OdinLeatherGoods Thanks a MILLION!
Very nice!
What machine are you using? Excellent work.
Nice purse - I bought a template. Can you give an idea of the dimensions so that one can purchase enough leather?
The finished bag is about 8.5 wide x 6.5 tall x 3.25 deep. You'll also need to allow enough leather for a shoulder strap. I'd recommend 48"-60".
Beautiful and Bad @ss at the same time, wishing prosperity and Love Bro' on anything you will in to this world
Salute from UK

What is the brand of dye you use for the edges and how can I get it? From Costa Rica
I think it would look cool with a magnet closure
Дела мастера боится !
Hi there! Beautiful work, will there be a template for this bag as well?😮
new to this - what is the stuff used on the edges called, that seal the fabrics together? I see you burnishing it :o Can we do different colors?
what thickness leather did you use for this?
What do you put in the cans for your edge? Is that edge knot?
Also what is the cloth you are using for your edges?
Odin, in the first 5 seconds did I see you using the rotary cutter at an angle against the ruler?
I think it more of an optical illusion. In reality, the blade is really closer to perpendicular.
❤❤❤
Thanks for this indepth video, please which type of glue are you using.
I love using Aquilim 315. Here's a link you can use to find it - bit.ly/3fQ16vT.

Beautiful bag! Don’t you sell pdf patterns???

@@OdinLeatherGoods Thanks for your reply! PDFs are very practical and we receive them instantly!
What is the length of the strap please?
😍
If u have time I would like to get some thoughts on products I am making
Sure! Shoot me an email through my website.
what is the tool being used at 2:47 and 4:49
It looks like you stay pretty busy, but if you ever offer classes once Covid is over I would so be down.
That may become an option for us very soon. Stay tuned for more details.
I purchased the acrylic template, the gusset is longer than the front piece causing an overhang. Is this correct?
Yes, that is correct, trim to fit once you’ve stitched it.
This is beautiful! How do I order one similar to it, I couldn't find it on your website.
This was really just a one-off project. We could probably create one for you to though. Shoot us an email at hell @ odinleathergoods.com.
👍😉

Do you sell those? If so how much?
I sure do. Check out my website.
@@OdinLeatherGoods what's your link?
Bags like this are far more valuable than just slapping a designer label on a cheaply made purse.
Video production is top notch, but I wish you spoke more like a tutorial than a promo video. Beautiful purse!
we know u can make it what's inside it !!??
What kind of glue do you use? It doesn't look like the fiebings white glue.
I use Reno’s Aquilim 315. It’s a water based contact adhesive that works as well as Barge or Masters. Gets a link… bit.ly/37gtiU4
Nice bag, but would look so much better if it was hand stitched.
;) You’re welcome to hand stitch it too.
If that’s that German glue it’s bad to the bone
Why dont u make the pattern available for all?
What glue do you use?
Beautiful!
