This episode aired February 2022. In October 2022, Fussy raised another £1.1m from crowdfunding investors, valuing the business at £6.2m. They are expanding into the EU in 2023 with plans to sell in Australia and the US in the future. Best of luck to them, cool product.
Aired in Feb 2022 but i think it was FILMED much earlier because at 0:20 he says he wants his brand to appeal to the instagram generation (old) instead of saying the tiktok generation (new)
One of the most wholesome ones! Deborah and Peter really seemed like they're ecxited because this one is a little more than just about bussiness! It's about making some little good or the word!
Having a deodorant shipped to your door instead of just using bar soap is not "good for the world". "Eco-Brands" are just targeting a customer group that feels pain and shame for existing and therefore feels a moral need to buy their stuff
It’s better for the world then buying deodorant cans that take 100s years to decompose when you can reuse the materials used on this one and the box it gets sent in can be decomposed too so it generally is a lot better
I love the idea of this and the same for wild, but I don’t think it’s affordable for most people. Deodorant off the shelf it’s like £2 maybe £3 last like six months then you buy a new one. I love the idea of reducing plastic and I think we need to do it in every room in our houses, but £25 is quite a lot of money (just had a look at their website) and I personally I’m fed up of everything being a subscription what happened to just buying something.
Totally agree. I don't do subscriptions at all anymore- you almost always end up paying more than what you would if you bought the product when you need it, or when your budget allows for it, rather than at the volume and freqency determined by the subscription model you lock yourself into. And they are often a hassle to unsubscribe from.
I think the last subscription i ever got sucked into was Readers Digest about 25 years ago. Have never taken another subscription of any kind since. I really have no idea why people bother with them in the first place.
I've just subscribed. Been looking for a natural deodorant and this didnt disappoint. The refill fragrances are lovely. Currently on coconut. I'm glad I've switched from chemical deodorants. 👍👍
How many times is Toucker going to say 'I could make this tomorrow', give it a rest! These are aspiring entrepreneurs who don't have the amount of capital he does.
I find it interesting that Sarah was wondering where other products like shampoo were and in other episodes the dragons are concerned when the budding entrepreneurs focus on more than one product in a particular line whether it be food, cosmetics or health products. There doesn’t seem to be any consistency.
Debra was ok with 6% only because they offered 1.5% to start with. Let's be honest if they would offer 6% from start she would want 20% lol same peter. The people have basically zero sells and valuation is out of control even at 6%. I would not go in the business with less then 1/3 of business, equal partners.
I'm just coming to the end of my first refill and it's been great. Nice scents, works flawlessly. Nice to be eco friendly, but they're also healthier. Wanted to see what they were like before subscribing, but might well do so now.
I don't get it, why does a company trying to save on packaging, put a small deodorant in a great big cardboard box, it does not need need a box, no deodorant does.
I came here to find out who invested in Fussy, to see who might have helped with its distribution, and why it isn’t available on every shelf just like Wild. I like the product, I don’t like the idea of subscription.
If a deodorant creme is used, there is no need for that product. And cremes are much easier to deliver and produce. They last longer, imo. If I want to go eco-friendly, I would definatelly choose a creme.
Don't blame him. For 20 years its been Deb & Peter taking the vast majority of investments often because they are the ones the entrepeneurs know. The third, fourth, fifth Dragon is in constant rotation I imagine because they get tired of people not going with them over Deb & Peter. Steven's just getting his hat in the ring.
I bet you're one of those people that shouts at Just Stop Oil because they use glue during protests. It's called the bigger picture mate, open your eyes, take a step back and have a look at it.

@@0ConkersBadFurDay0 3 for 18 on amazon, I think most people are unwilling to subscribe for deodorant. If you know where I can get it for a fiver though, I'm all ears!

Classic Stephen: rave about the product to act like he knows what he's doing, then back out on investing because he doesn't know what he's doing

Good negotiating guys !!! :)

I don't get it, why does a company trying to save on packaging, put a small deodorant in a great big cardboard box, it does not need need a box, no deodorant does.
I'd say it's because they don't really care about the environmental issue, but they are focused on what they can sell.
@@nickpellatt Agree. It's all part of consumer culture.
