Engineers don't memorise numbers and don't perform under pressure like investment/finance people have to do in their daily work.
I'm surprised how few of these companies come with documentation rather than risking to quote an incorrect number that is basis for the deal to fall through.

Correctness actually matters and nowadays computer programming has become an integral part of being able to reason about the otherwise insurmountable datasets and workloads required.
It's therefore very hard for an engineer to take responsibility and accept risk for something that is inherently not far removed from a coin toss.
As you can see from this show, image, money and the way you talk matters more than substance.
When the people pitching bring this up in a subtle way, the dragons get agitated and start flexing their muscles out of insecurity.
The pitch was nearly as convincing as Touker's comb over

was there really a deal? Some 80% of those tv deals don't make it past due diligence stage and fall through so there's no cash to splash...

Totally have seen very similar in arcades. I've seen ones similar to Guitar Hero for your feet.
Too simple for an arcade, and doesn't have coin slots.
Also, there are no showers and changing rooms in an arcade.

the people who enjoy lifting weight go to the gym already. But it is aimed at those that get bored of lifting weights and need some fun incentive. Gyms can broaden their offer. That's why you see Zumba classes next to pure weight lifting.

I can't remember how or why I thought Debra was an unlikeable person, I've grown up a bit, but I see now I was wrong. She is a legend. Fun when it calls for it but a dragon in business. Great character.

I think that, It was Nick Jenkins withdrawal and disclosure that he is in professional relationship with the duo's business partner that got them the deal from other dragons. Besides that, the pitch was in shambles.

I cant see this being anything but a gimmicky fitness arcade game. Too expensive to be widely used in schools, definitely not going in a gym any time soon

I remember a similar thing at the Dome in 2000 - something like 9' square with 9 (IIRC) buttons (in a 3×3 grid) that one lit up randomly and you had to hit it.

Martial art gyms, boxing gyms, tennis, football ping pong, I can see loads of sport gyms wanting this technology that is all in one piece of equipment and can track trends, even shooting academies if the targets can somehow linked to the device....it's very clever

To add to what @AFAndersen said. This won't replace weights--not for the fitness crowd--but I think this is supposed to be something to rope in the casual crowd who wouldn't be lifting weights anyway.
I myself have at home a classic set of dumbbells, an expander and a finger trainers, but it is absolutely clear to me who the target group is, and that the group exists.

lifting weights has been a way for humans to improve their muscular strength for a veeerrryyyyy long time, in fact it's one of the best ways to improve strength and power period, so I highly doubt it will become old fashioned.

Does anyone else feel like Touker gets jealous or envious when Peter and Deborah make shared deals together? I took his whole "I'LL OFFER THE OTHER HALF" as soon as Peter made his offer was like him trying to sneak in there before Deborah could :P
Deborah and Peter, have a history of investing together. At various times throughout the series, one of them often calls out the other to split the deal. They have both said that they worked together very well.
Theo and Deborah were a team also.
Sarah and Nick often worked together.
James and Duncan often worked together.
Perhaps if touker and theo was on the show at the same time they too would collaborate on deals. They are both cypriots after all.

They did do some follow up shows.
That's what prompted the producers to do 'Den on tour/on the road' shows like some kind of 'Where are they now?' idea
The small dragon who looks like Eddie Marsan always gives them the most comical confused looks when they walk in, as if they’ve just written some hectic equation on the board.
Grilling is just awesome. How clarity is sought by the dragons ...it is amazing.

As Richard said, you can find this info online for registered businesses as companies House. It's a legal requirement that businesses declare these things.

I've seen these light fitness games in places like trampoline parks so perhaps those came from these guys thinking about it. It is a very innovative, fantastic idea.

The only thing is ,the deal is never done until it's all signed.On a number off occasions the dragons have pulled out at the last minute once they take a closer look at the company they were going to invest in.

These would be great as coin op machines in an arcade / amusement center. Maybe include a ticket / credit dispenser option for places that do the trade-tickets-for-prizes thing.
I'd already noted I'd seen similar arcade machines, but now that you mention tickets, it's basically just vertical Whack-a-mole, isn't it... The only thing remotely proprietary here is the data collection.
