"Your turnover, your margins, your net profit, that's what you need to know." - Deborah Meaden
im writing that down!
@@mirnasrullahkhan6588 Indeed. The funny thing is I'm working on my cash flow forecast right now, wow.
Deborah always giving the best advice
Jenny saves the day! I'm not sure why everyone mocks her, she seems sensible and humble...
"I would be very happy with that " My first thoughts were "There is no way out of this one for Jenny
I’d make a joke about Jenny but unfortunately I’m out
she deals a poker hand ' I'm out'
Derby is in the Midlands ffs.... its not northern
was gonna say the same thing
Northern to them cos they all live in London lmao
I was looking for this comment!!! There's a lot above the Midlands and plenty below London. They thing it is the only south 😂
It's north of Watford;)
Yeah, I thought the same thing.
I'm from Liverpool, so Derby to me is practically "down south".
"My name is Jenny and id like to make you an offer, and for that reason, im out."
She could easily have offered all the money for 40% and he’d have accepted
"he knows a good offer when he sees one" Kid's prolly has been reading the dragon dens memes bout jenny and is here to prove you all wrong
Ive never seen the Dragons look so humbled and inspired lol. Good lad
Thing is This guy based on himself alone is investable, due to his mind for business and you could see peter thinking that as soon as he said he's been trading for 20 months and to top it graduates university while doing that. This is why you should never judge a book by its cover. I thought he was 15-16 .
He was asking for peanuts. I would have given him the money just to turn up at the office. It's very rare to find someone so impressive who has no idea how good they are.
You are right she Invested in him not the business
“Jenny is the last chance for investment to keep the business running”.... kid files for bankruptcy.
seems very good at spending money, 170k in 2019
DRIVENMEDIA LTD Company number 09736989
You've been trading all this time whilst still at nursery? ..Wait... you're..22?
In bed feeling crap and this comment made my day hahaha
Kid "I want to make my mark on the world"
Suliman "I think we should take advantage of slave labour for the business"
Kid "ohh yes I like that idea"
Nice impact there.
They force them to work?
Edward Hollands is one of the most interesting entrepreneurs on Dragon Den and this video was fun to watch. I wish him luck and I am sure he will be successful in whatever he undertakes in the future.
Edward is a really nice chap, really good watching him grow and expand the company through LinkedIn
Thank you
You have to be kidding!
Blimey.. He accepted the offer before I had a chance to put the kettle on 😁
I would've thought this guy is 14 years old
Within a year Jenny Campbell left this business and about 12 months later the company was liquidated with £147k debt.
Edward is still going strong....and he moved from Derby to Nottinghampshire! According to his LinkedIn.....
I hope he does really well , and he is hugely successful., and who knows one day he can mentor other young entrepreneurs and pay it forward . Good on you lad
"Derby", "that's north". No it isn't its in the midlands ffs.
Ben Booth Agree!👍🏻
Ben Booth it’s north of the north south divide. So it is therefore north just like how you refer to London as the south when you have places like Cornwall
Close enough
So what about Pudsey or Mablethorpe ?
Left me smiling watching this episode, really pleased for Edward such a lovely young man.
I love how the comments are way more focused on the fact Jenny made an offer rather than the pitch itself.
The guy did really well during his pitch, aside from the hiccup asking about profit, he was able to answer all the questions without diffculty
There was a dragon named Jenny
Who didn't invest a penny
She hated to sing
She loved to shout
You can all hear the cries of in in in!!
When I realised Jenny was the last dragon I was thinking this kids got no chance, 🤦🏻♀️ he’s lost any hope of investment. But damn, she surprised us all 🤯
@DaVinci lol, that's probably it.
Awww that was a really lovely one, I think Jenny's going to make that young man very rich.
I bursted our with tears of laughter when he said “The Baby Face Entrepreneur” omg wow so funny 😂😂😂
Kids gonna kick himself when he realises he gave away 20% to his mates when he actually makes it big. Never give out equity to people who weren’t there from the start or who aren’t prepared to pay into it
Did you.. watch the whole thing?
Rastaman193 yes
Unless his friends play a vital part in the expansion of the company ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Jenny: "I'll give you all of the money for 20%".
Kid: "I'll accept that".
Jenny: "Hahaha April fool"!!!
